Seems impossible to replay a video after watching the first time, unless you exit to menu and reselect the word. Doesn’t seem to understand screen size variation as UI elements sometimes cover system functions like the battery indicator. I’m eager to learn AUSLAN and this is just not up to scratch. Even more disappointing as I paid for sign packs. Happy to update review if these very basic usability issues are resolved. ### 1/5 — Couldn't create an account to get started. *2024-06-01* The app looks promising, but requires that you create an account to download the free signs pack. Unfortunately, the app wouldn't allow me to do so, and I was stuck at the account creation page, pressing on the blue "create account" button to no avail. Thank you ### 1/5 — Videos not working *2022-08-14* Videos “play” but its just a black screen. **Developer response:** Hi jehhehj, thank you for your feedback, and for supporting our app. The videos contained in our app are streamed online, and require an internet connection. This was done in order to save storage space on our users' devices. Please check your internet connection, then try again. If you have any further questions, please contact us at apps@nextsense.org.au and we will be able to assist you further. ### 2/5 — Shame for those who supported v1 *2022-11-29* I paid for the full signbank in the original app, so its a shame that you decided to add annoying pop up advertisements to that app to deter original purchasers from still using it. Also a shame there's no way to recognise those original purchases without paying for all the signs again. I'm sure it's a good app, just doesn't feel good for long time supporters. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback, and for supporting our app. Based on our user feedback, we've built new features into Auslan Tutor, including a learning section, favourites, filtering by handshapes, and more. Auslan Tutor 2 now contains nearly 1500 signs, that can be purchased and downloaded as in-app purchase sign packs. We will be further growing this library of signs into the future. ### 3/5 — Need to include a “flipped camera” feature. *2023-05-03* Is it possible to include a feature to view the presenter flipped as opposed to mirror image? It’s very confusing to view them front-on as it’s hard to tell which hand your supposed to be using. ### 3/5 — Possible update *2023-02-03* Is it possible to make somewhere to request words and anything else, I’ve gotten this app to try be inclusive to those who come to my work place and there’s so many things are not on here that would be very helpful and actually make sense to use! **Developer response:** Hello, thank you for your feedback. Yes, we do have a section in the app where you can request words. You can find this on the Settings page, under "Request a sign/word". Thanks ### 5/5 — Updated my iphone software and now app works perfectly! *2022-09-18* Ignore previous negative review. I just needed a software update on my phone. Works brilliantly now. Best thing is you can see 180 degrees angles so you can see the handshapes used.
