### 1/5 — Clunky

*2021-12-24, version 3.2.1*

. App is clunky takes a long time to refresh,l expect apps to be smooth. Plus, the login process is too long. Magazine and content are great though.

### 1/5 — To whom it may concern

*2021-08-08, version 3.2.1*

Once this was a great magazine. Well worth reading. Something happen a year or two ago. Now a complete waste of time and money. Barry

### 2/5 — Content is good - app is woeful

*2020-09-16, version 3.2.1*

Title says it all, the actual content is good, but app is terrible. It seems you need to close the app and re-open it when wanting to read another edition of the magazine. I just can’t seem to work out how to get back to my library of downloaded editions after I have selected one edition to read. From what I can see, after selecting and reading that chosen edition. I need to fully exit the app and then re-open it to select another edition.

### 1/5 — Hopeless

*2020-06-12, version 3.2.1*

Subscribed as of Xmas 2019. Sub was doubled up so paid twice for a print sub with digital. Finally received an email from ‘Anna’ months later saying it would be sorted. Nothing.
In the meantime I am unable to open the digital magazine although I do get the emails constantly. The new ownership and its change to bi monthly has been a major disappointment.

### 1/5 — Ripped off

*2020-05-18, version 3.2.1*

I subscribed to the magazine. I got one magazine then they said they are doing quarterly magazines but I could access things on this app and it says you need to buy them.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2019-12-14, version 3.2.1*

Have paid my subscription but the app doesn’t give access to any magazines.

### 1/5 — Australian Aviation

*2019-12-10, version 3.2.1*

App is poor. Continuous download problems with every new issue of the magazine.

### 1/5 — Not happy

*2019-09-20, version 3.2.1*

This app crashes regularly. the only reason I give it 1 star is because you cannot rate it with zero stars. The lates stuff up sees the app simply spinning. This publisher seems to forget they charge top dollar for this app. Imagine if your airline pilot accepted only part landing the plane?!

### 2/5 — Subscription is a bit hit and miss

*2019-09-07, version 3.2.1*

The magazine is top notch- some of the best information available for the Australian market.

The subscription service was quite good but has been a bit patchy of late.

Hopefully they will recover their form.

### 3/5 — Chuck Yeager

*2019-06-27, version 3.2.1*

Disappointed

### 1/5 — Worst magazine app ever

*2019-05-01, version 3.2.1*

I continue to be charged monthly subscription fees but I’m unable to download a single issue. It says I need to subscribe. If I click subscribe then the app says your already subscribed.
It’s actually theft. They take your money and fail to provide the service.

### 2/5 — Told lies

*2019-04-14, version 3.2.1*

These people falsely represented themselves to me . I want my money back.

### 3/5 — Awful. Just Awful.

*2019-03-08, version 3.2.1*

This would be pretty close to the worst app I have used for a long long time. Where’s all the backwards navigation? How do I get back to the table of contents? How do I get back to the home page so I can read other editions? I paid my digital subscription thinking the AA app experience would be at the same standard as the journalistic content. But no, it’s very very disappointing.

### 4/5 — Australian aviation

*2019-01-07, version 3.2.1*

Bad app, doesn’t work, can’t get open my editions and difficult to navigate. Doesn’t bring up the navigation contents reliably.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App is unusable

*2026-07-12, version 7.0*

The app is terrible. The tabs don’t load, on each tab press it asks me to login. I’ve reinstalled it several times with no effect. Hope to see some improvements or I’m cancelling my subscription.

### 1/5 — Bad app at first glance

*2023-09-22, version 7.0*

I couldn’t login for the first time downloading and using the app

### 1/5 — News articles not available in app

*2023-06-26, version 7.0*

No point in having an app that you still need to go to the website to get news articles.

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2022-12-18, version 7.0*

This is absolutely the worst digital magazine app I’ve ever seen. Horrendous UX and navigation, lack of offline, image scaling issues. It’s sad as the industry content is excellent. If your future goes digital then the current app will see the end of AA. Time to choose and alternative or integrate into other e-pub solutions.

### 1/5 — Absolutely useless app.

*2022-12-16, version 7.0*

I have not been able to access my account since February 2022, hate this maz lost my money!!!!

### 1/5 — Lack of customer service and customer support

*2022-12-14, version 7.0*

Lack of customer service and customer support from long time reader and lost all my downloaded purchases.

### 1/5 — Useless app and woeful support

*2022-10-23, version 6.1*

The app doesn't work and support staff are not interested in resolving the issue, that's when they bother to even respond to support requests.

Cancelled my subscription.

### 1/5 — Very, very bad

*2022-07-13, version 5.3.0*

Download failures and crashes make for one of the most unpleasant experiences on the internet today. I switched to a combined digital/ print subscription to avoid this app as much as possible. There isn’t a zero or you’d be getting it.

### 1/5 — Second rate app

*2021-12-31, version 3.2.1*

Very clunky, crashes often and limited notifications of change, if I didn’t love planes I wouldn’t have this app in a million years.

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2021-12-30, version 3.2.1*

Does not load data

### 5/5 — Australian Aviation

IPad app works well.

### 5/5 — Feedback

*2020-04-03, version 3.2.1*

Excellent coverage of the industry

### 5/5 — Great

*2019-10-31, version 3.2.1*

Always a very good buy, but This is better than the print version. Easier to handle, very clear print, and the periodic videos are a great asset - makes my friend quite jealous. Thank you. Ian

### 5/5 — Rusty pilots

*2019-07-01, version 3.2.1*

A great story and podcast! As a mature age RPL many of the points raised resonated with me. Currently very current, but have had many periods of rust accumulation over the years due to the usual interruptions mentioned in the podcast, which can indeed lead to a loss of confidence.
The glass thing is recent with me, and I was happy to see ZFY from Schoies featured. I fly this aircraft occasionally, and try to keep my eyes from drifting to those standby steam gauges...
I love the Aviator section, being a pilot who is happy just to be airborne in the Sydney basin, simply flying for fun solo or with my family and friends to Camden and Warragamba, while my excursions out of the area are with club events and Flyaways.
Have been reading your mag for years. Keep up the excellent work.
Cheers
Justin McCoy

### 5/5 — Want to know? Read this.

*2019-06-06, version 3.2.1*

If you need to know what’s going on in Australian aviation, this is the go to.

### 5/5 — love it

*2014-01-15, version 1.5.2*

Well done .

### 5/5 — It's all good!!!

*2013-08-23, version 1.4.0*

It's all good!!!

### 5/5 — Top notch

*2013-08-19, version 1.4.0*

It's hard to make the jump from paper to emagazine, but this app does this and a whole lot more. A great way to keep my AA magazines handy when I want to reference a previous article. The only downside (and I had to think hard to see one) is that previous issues before it went onto the ipad can't be downloaded. This however is just a small blemish on an otherwise outstanding product.

### 5/5 — Australian Aviation

*2013-05-29, version 1.4.0*

An absolutely brilliant magazine (in addition, the iPad version)!

Interesting and informative articles, great photos, great presentation, extremely high quality printing - well done and congratulations to all of the staff!!
