We tell people to install Microsoft Authenticator for work. We started getting angry tickets about how it’s not free. Turns out everyone thought Authenticator App was Microsoft Authenticator. Hard to blame them - this app does everything it can to make you think it’s connected to Microsoft. Its name likeness, use of Microsoft imagery, and description make you think it’s a Microsoft product at first glance. Thats deception, and users can hardly be blamed for their initial confusion given how alike it is. This company knows exactly what they’re doing. Don’t fall for it.

Forgetting to cancel an active subscription is a lazy human error and a clear lack of attention to detail. It is completely wrong to let individual carelessness ruin an app’s reputation.
Platforms need to fix this immediately. While the complaints of these incompetent users can remain visible for transparency, their scores should be completely blocked from affecting the overall star rating. An app's quality should never be penalized because a consumer lacks basic personal discipline.
