### 2/5 — Once Was Great

*2026-04-10, version 2.1.50*

I was an early user of SAASPASS and originally recommended it. That is no longer the case.

The product has shifted from a simple, reliable authenticator into a bloated, paywalled system that prioritises enterprise features over basic user needs. Core expectations — such as straightforward device transfer and reliable recovery — are now either unreliable or gated behind paid tiers.

Recovery is the most serious failure. If you lose access or move devices, there is no clear, dependable fallback like SMS or simple recovery codes unless you have pre-configured everything perfectly in advance. That is not acceptable for an authentication app. Recovery should be robust and obvious, not fragile and hidden.

The iOS experience is also poor. The interface feels fragmented, autofill is inconsistent, and essential actions are harder than they should be. Compared to modern alternatives, it is unnecessarily complex.

Most users only need TOTP. Instead, you are pushed into paying for features you likely do not use, while the fundamentals — portability, recovery, and usability — have degraded.

This feels like a product that abandoned its original user base in favour of monetisation. I would not recommend it anymore.

### 2/5 — Disappointed with support

*2025-05-13, version 2.1.47*

I’ve emailed support 4 or 5 times over the past 6 months trying to recover my account. I answer ALL of their questions thoroughly, but I NEVER get a response with some sort of resolution. I simply do not receive ANY sms codes when I request them. Why can Support not help me recover my account? Are they not able to verify who I am and provide a recovery code I can input? Can they not look up my account internally and maybe we can try changing the telephone number? Because I suspect my Cellular Carrier (ATT PREPAID, USA) is blocking or rejecting the SAASPASS SMS because it is originating from a VOIP based SMS Service/Short Code and ATT flags it as SPAM.

SAASPASS I love this APP but the support is very lacking. It is unfortunately actually quite BAD and NONEXISTENT.

HELP, Dag-Nabit!

### 4/5 — Apple watch support

*2024-10-31, version 2.1.46*

Love the app, been using for for a few years now.

Just recently got a apple watch and saw I could download the app on it but sadly it requires a sign in on phone.

Is there a possibility for a fix so I and others can sign in on the watch for easier codes Instead of having app on watch just is kinda pointless if you need to use phone for it.

### 4/5 — Excellent App, Requesting Feature

*2024-03-30, version 2.1.43*

I'm surprised at how versatile and easy to use this app is! Excellent work!

I would like to request that support be added for custom TOTP intervals. Some services, such as Authy's proprietary partnership account implementations (like the 7 digit codes for Twitch), use intervals other than 30 seconds for TOTP code generation and I would like to be able to add it to SAASPASS.

------------------------------------------

Reply to developer response:

Perhaps I should have been more clear: I wasn't talking about the number of digits, but the code refresh interval, to be able to choose other options than 30 seconds for the interval. For example, Authy's 7 digit codes for Twitch or Twilo accounts use a strange 10/20 second offset hybrid rather than the default 30 second refresh time. Other services may have different timings, like 10 seconds or 20 seconds. This is what I mean when I say I'd like to see the option t choose custom TOTP intervals.

### 3/5 — New update crashes

*2024-03-26, version 2.1.43*

The new update crashes the app when scanning a QR code. Didn’t do that previously.

### 4/5 — Great App Poor Customer Service

*2021-09-21, version 2.1.41*

The app and functionalities are more extensive than other apps. The customer services is poor and only has an email address to reach out. I reached out to them a few days ago but haven’t replied to my email yet asking for help. I do hope they can improve their customer service.

### 4/5 — Finally something useful but ugly

*2020-05-18*

I've tried password managers and 2fa stuff before but it just always seemed like way too much extra work. This actually makes life easier so far. I've only had it a day but I'm already impressed. My only complaint is how the ui feels like a 20 year old Microsoft product.

### 2/5 — Sounds good, but useless

*2019-12-03*

Hundred of pre-configured resources, which makes usage painfully
O365 - „can‘t read code“ „can‘t get code“ while TFA registration

### 3/5 — Lack of email support

*2019-07-30*

I've given this review a 3 star as the email support is poor, I love the app and what the company has built but the email support is lacking, I've had this problem since Saturday and emailed twice with no reply, the app crashed and logged me out, I tried to recover but I've forgotten my security question, I can't access my PC because it's Bluetooth connected to the app so I can't access my computer at all from Saturday. I need help to gain access to my account and PC, I've written in the email that I would provide as much detail you need to verify.

Please please help

### 2/5 — Rarely works properly

*2019-06-04, version 2.1.27*

Our work made us use it. Understand why and it does do the job and work but the remote unlock and bar code scan rarely work unless I have recently rebooted so I usually have to type the code in. When they do work there’s usually a delay so you assume it’s not going to work. It’s a common thing to hear at work “stupid SAASPASS”! It’s been reinstalled by IT a few times. If you don’t reboot your computer every day it will probably annoy you too!!

### 2/5 — Excellent but..

*2019-04-05, version 2.1.26*

Not sure if it is just my end, but Touch ID only seems to work when switching between SAASPASS and another app, like safari and when the allotted timeout time has passed, which mine is 3 minutes. Hello SAASPASS, can you fix the code to enable touchid all the time?

### 2/5 — Not the only auto fill authenticator

*2019-03-22, version 2.1.26*

I haven’t used this much, but they claim to be the “only auto-filling app that’s also an authenticator.” But 1Password has done TOTP codes and auto-fill both since iOS supported auto-fill. Frankly, they wrote the code and shared it to make auto-fill work on iOS apps before Apple did it system-wide, and one-time authenticator codes have been supported even longer. The claim here seems disingenuous.

### 1/5 — Do not use!!!!

*2018-12-01, version 2.1.20*

Once you put your secret code you can export them or bit to another app. Also customer service take for ever to repone back and also the app in convoluted too much going on, simplicity is better .

### 1/5 — DON'T GO THERE!

*2018-05-31, version 2.1.19*

Since that I tried to download this app, my MacBook Air is locked on the open screen and i just can't use it anymore. After I received message on my iPad Saying that my apple id was in danger, and after, a e-mail advertizing me to don't use my smartphone, à Samsung, because there was malwares. I also received email from Apple that was False ones. Apple couldn't do nothing to help me and the responsables of the application just don't answer my Mail... So just DON'T GO THERE!

### 1/5 — WARNING! DONT BUY THIS APP!! No SMS Recovery Code / Disappointed with support

*2025-07-07, version 2.1.47*

I’m updating my review I wrote last month. I’ve still had ZERO response from the DEV.

The support from the company is hands down GARBAGE-LY NON-EXISTENT.

I’ve been trying to recover my account since December 2024.

Status Quo is NOTHING NADA ZERO PROGRESS, No attempts made by this supposed USA based Dev.

Here’s my original review:

I’ve emailed support 4 or 5 times over the past 6 months trying to recover my account. I answer ALL of their questions thoroughly, but I NEVER get a response with some sort of resolution. I simply do not receive ANY sms codes when I request them. Why can Support not help me recover my account? Are they not able to verify who I am and provide a recovery code I can input? SAASPASS I love this APP but the support is very lacking. It is unfortunately actually quite BAD and NONEXISTENT.

### 1/5 — Now cloning is suddenly a paid option!!! Not worth it as wasted my time

*2024-05-20, version 2.1.45*

I am seeking legal actions against paywalling certain features without changing terms and conditions. That cause significants damages.

### 1/5 — Free features now locked

*2024-04-01, version 2.1.44*

I cannot access any of my previous passwords because it wants me to pay a monthly subscription. The dev maliciously locked current passwords already in the app behind a paywall.

So people like me who have used this app for years got the shaft. This is pretty low. I am now forced to pay so I can use my passwords.

So once I transfer my passwords out of this app, the subscription is being cancelled and I am moving to a different app.

Very evil choice this guy did. Our passwords already in this app should have been grandfathered in and any NEW passwords should have been paid for.

You are an evil individual. This was a lousy update.

### 1/5 — They now charge you for features that were once free

*2024-03-26*

Basically title..

### 1/5 — Cannot setup recovery!!

*2022-12-07, version 2.1.41*

Will never send me a text code to my cell phone!

Don’t waste your time with this one.

### 1/5 — Beware the lack of support

*2022-05-20, version 2.1.41*

If all you’re looking for is a password manager then stay clear of this one. LOUSY support

### 1/5 — Horrible App and No customer service.

*2022-03-14, version 2.1.41*

I’m only using this app until I can find a more suitable replacement for Myki. This app has no customer service (never received a response to my emails) and you can’t manage anything from the phone app.

### 1/5 — Apple Watch app is useless

*2021-04-20, version 2.1.41*

I got SAASPASS because I didn’t want to use google and I wanted to be able to use it on my watch, but to look at your codes on the watch you need to get your phone and open the app. If I have my phone I would just use that. Completely useless.

### 1/5 — Crashing when trying to add recovery phone

*2020-05-17, version 2.1.33*

Let me know when you fix on boarding. Each time I try to add a recovery phone the app crashes. Switching from Microsoft Authenticator and Google Authenticator to SASSPASS is a nonstarter if I can’t get my recovery set. Pity, because the high reviews and blog pieces about it, but if literally within the first minute I get consecutive crashes, I’m gonna have a hard time trusting an app that is so critical to my security.

### 1/5 — Can't change email worthless app

*2020-03-11, version 2.1.32*

I have given up trying this app. I had to change my email due to different internet providers. I no longer have that email but this app doesn't give an option to delete the old email. Frustrating.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — five out of five

*2025-06-25, version 2.1.47*

Been using this application for over 5+ years highly recommend and great experience so far keep up the great work

### 5/5 — Amazingly Simple

*2021-12-12, version 2.1.41*

I started using this about four or so years ago. Don’t even know how I came across it. I have used e-wallet for like 20 years and still use it as my primary vault of all digital information. But managing log ons with dual authentication and better yet managing single sign ons needed something much more robust. At the time Software as a Service was just starting to take hold. I think Saas Pass was cool when Saas wasn’t cool. It’s been able to manage all my logins all my authentication needs and manage my single sign ons without a problem. It’s pretty bad that I’ve taken this long to write them a review. Which says I don’t write many. But recently I had a pucker factor 10 event, both my iPhone and iPad were destroyed at the same time. I can’t remember any passwords but one. I always know my Apple ID password but logging into a new without one of your devices near is or access to your text isn’t going to happen. I was dead in the water. I borrowed my sons phone and initiated a recovery of SaaS Pass within 30 minutes I had all my dual authentication up and could log into anything. This is a great security app, and an excellent day of recovery app. There’s a lot they could do to add some great features but I’m not complaining because in the five years I’ve used it I spent $0 and have never seen one add. I don’t know how they manage that but it’s appreciated. Developer: if you see this you should consider putter a donation icon on the app, there are other apps like Signal that I use that don’t ask for anything either. But they give me a way to donate to the cause if I like it. Kind of like PBS. I like my bees served without comment and am happy to pay to support. I like my security easy and painless which you provide. I’d be happy to donate to support. To All: if your not using this to manage your passcodes, Dual authentication, single sign on you should really consider it. They don’t try to up sale you heck they don’t even try to sell you. It’s just great software. And they must know it. And to the developer, thanks for providing such a great tool.

### 5/5 — Must Have

*2021-04-22*

Convenient, and feature packed. Definitely under rated I’ve been using it for years never had a problem.

### 5/5 — Love this free password manager authenticator.

*2021-01-18, version 2.1.39*

Recommend this password manager - and it is free! I love the authenticated code generator. It has a cool security scan too.

### 5/5 — Приложение просто огонь

*2020-01-25*

В приложении поддерживается Русской язык и это отлично, но почему, отсутствует на вашем сайте(((

### 5/5 — Simple and helpful

*2019-05-09, version 2.1.26*

Started using SAASPASS to store my work and personal passwords. Love the security, simplicity of the interface and having Touch ID is a nice touch , pun intended. Will be recommending to my developer friends!

### 5/5 — Excellent security app!

*2017-12-22, version 2.1.16*

As both an authenticator and a password manager, this is the best app I’ve ever used! Numerous features and options, no annoying demands for reviews, and great security! I think it’s the best!

### 5/5 — Best password manager!!

*2017-12-21, version 2.1.16*

Best and most secured and robust password manager out there.
I love it!!

### 5/5 — Beautifully designed app that helps secure your logins

*2017-10-25, version 2.1.14*

This app is great. I have been using it for about a year to secure my logins and I haven’t had any issues with it. The app works as advertised, and the fact that I can use TouchID to login is fantastic.

I would highly recommend this 2FA for any company and supported applications.

### 5/5 — Personal Use - 5 stars

*2017-10-16, version 2.1.14*

I'm a really lazy person and I love the push to login for windows feature. Great app all around for login tokens
