## What is Authmeister?

Universal
Authmeister supports both TOTP and HOTP algorithms, making it compatible with a wide range of services.

Apple Watch
Authmeister has an Apple Watch app: see your codes on your wrist with a countdown, get the next HOTP code with one tap, and open passwords you choose to send to the watch. Add the Authmeister complication to your watch face to see a code at a glance. On iPhone, add Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets.

Backup-Friendly
Securely store your OTP accounts and passwords in your preferred backup location — Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, or locally — so you never lose access.

Secure
All stored accounts and passwords are protected with AES encryption, keeping your sensitive data safe.

User-Friendly
Authmeister features a clean Material 3 interface with a modern, intuitive experience.

Themes
Choose between light, dark, and system themes to make Authmeister look and feel the way you prefer.

Open & Flexible
Authmeister supports the otpauth-migration URI standard, making it easy to import and export accounts to and from Google Authenticator. Switch platforms seamlessly without hassle.

### 3.2.0 — 2026-10-05

• Apple Watch follows the text size you set on the watch: bigger text, titles that wrap, and codes that always fit the screen
• Liquid Glass: top bar buttons keep working after you visit Settings or Backup, and the glass looks cleaner in dark theme, without the light outline
• Fixes and improvements

### 3.1.0 — 2026-09-28

Authmeister 3.1 — now on Apple Watch.

• Apple Watch app: your codes on your wrist, pinned ones on top, categories you can fold away
• Live codes with a countdown; the next code appears before the current one changes
• HOTP codes: get the next code in one tap, and the counter syncs back to your iPhone
• Passwords on the watch: turn them on in Settings → Watch, then reveal them character by character or as a line
• Watch face complication that shows a code at a glance
• Service icons on the watch, the same as in the app
• Home and Lock Screen widgets: one code or a list, shown when unlocked, always, or after a tap with Face ID
• Fixes and improvements

### 3.0.0 — 2026-09-26

Authmeister 3.0 — the biggest update yet.

• New Liquid Glass design with a new icon, smooth animations and adjustable glass transparency
• Categories: group codes and passwords, give each a color and an icon, reorder them by dragging
• iPad and Mac: grid layout with a details panel, sidebar, keyboard shortcuts and resizable windows

• Local backups are saved as .aume files; older .backup files still open
• Redesigned backup and settings screens
• The app now follows your system light and dark mode instantly
• Many fixes and performance improvements
