### 4/5 — No longer works on IOS 17.x and below

*2025-11-21*

Works well only if you have IOS 18 and above.

### 5/5 — Most features, no ads

*2025-03-26*

Title says it all. The other tap tempo or BPM detectors have obtrusive ads or less features.

### 5/5 — Auto BPM COUNTER

*2025-03-18, version 2.8.4*

10 👍🏻🎧 perfect

### 5/5 — Bpm

*2025-03-13, version 2.8.4*

This is a fantastic little app and pretty accurate

### 5/5 — Superb BPM Finder

*2025-03-08*

I have used other BPM meters out there, but this is definitely my favorite by a wide margin. Very accurate and stable. Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — excellent app

*2025-02-18, version 2.8.4*

does everything it says it will.

### 5/5 — Best app

*2025-02-10*

I think this should probably be at the top of the list of music apps. This actually works and isn't a rip off like other bpm meter apps.

### 5/5 — Excellent and free

*2025-02-06, version 2.8.3*

Really appreciate this app with all it’s options and no hidden purchases or pop ups
Highly recommended
And thank you

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2025-01-20*

I also come from the debricated livebpm app and went through some other tracking apps before getting here. This is the best app by a long shot. Clean and simple. Thanks!

### 5/5 — Precise

*2025-01-09*

This app is precise, and it works just stuff that says, but the best part is that it’s free future that other apps charge for and are not as good as this app.

### 5/5 — I LOVE IT!

*2024-12-17*

Thank You from the bottom of my Hearth!
I constantly mix vinyl’s and in the past I was using an iPhone „LiveBPM“ outdated app.
I really needed an accurate BMP Counter for MacOS and this is Perfect for me.

Features, „Perks“ I’d like to see in the future:

 - The app works great for me as it is but I would like to have have a higher Custom BPM-Range (when is manually setter-up) I have many Break-beat-songs which are recognized by some DJ software as 60BPM. Well, in reality the true BPM of those songs doubles (x2) BPM. So in this example: 60 x 2 = 120BPM.
REGARDING THIS COMES A SMALL GLITCH in the AutoBPM APP:
If I select the 60 to 130BPM range I loose the 131-to 140 Songs to be detected. P.s above 145BPM I don’t mix as it will be DNB LOL.

Double digits decimals to BPM Counter
 For example: 121.99BPM

- The suggestions mentioned above are only my particular wanted perks!
- The App v2.5 functions flawlessly!!!

**Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback! I have added an option for displaying double decimal digits to the latest version of the app.

As for increasing the range, this is unfortunately not possible when setting the range manually. BPM calculations cannot distinguish between "tempo octaves" which means that the upper bound of the range has to be no larger than twice the value of the lower bound. However I will try to improve the accuracy of the automatic range detection in future versions of the app, so that it might become more useful for use cases similar to what you mentioned.

### 5/5 — Isn’t terrible

*2024-11-17*

Thank you

### 5/5 — Excellent and stable

*2024-11-10, version 2.4.3*

I find the app very accurate across a large mixed format record collection, well done and thank you. It makes cataloguing very easy.
If it were possible to add functionality so the input signal could create a master midi clock out, it would immediately become one of my most used apps!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not real

*2026-02-14, version 2.9.4*

It tells you the bpm of silence is like 90 bpm

### 1/5 — It said is was doing 409 bpm

*2025-11-09, version 2.9.4*

I was practicing playing slow and it said i was doing 409 which how is that even possible

### 1/5 — Can’t lock onto sax or finger clicking

*2024-10-07*

I don’t really understand how this app is even shipping. It doesn’t seem to correctly categorize even a basic steady finger click or single note played on an instrument. The visual feedback shows it’s “hearing” it correctly but the BPM is just way higher.

The custom BPM range slider doesn’t make sense to me—not even sure what it is representing.

**Developer response:** If you are not able to get it to work, then you should send me an email using the link at the bottom of the settings page, and I'll try to help you out.

### 1/5 — Not good!

*2024-10-05, version 2.4*

Doesn’t work at all. I had my drum machine at the slowest tempo and it was telling me it was 160bpm!!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2024-01-28*

The app can’t read a bpm of anything. It jumps up and down from one extreme to the other. 106 to 167 for example. I made a simple 4 to the floor kick set at 130bpm and the app said was 101 or 191 completely useless.

**Developer response:** If you have issues getting it to work, then you should send me an email using the link at the bottom of the settings page, and I'll try to help you out.

### 2/5 — Memory Usage Issue

*2026-04-30*

I really want to like this app…I really NEED an app like this. I use it for concerts and the issue that I am having is it starts slowing down over time and after an hour or so it is no longer tracking accurately.

### 2/5 — Mic only

*2025-06-11, version 2.9.1*

Whack

### 2/5 — Too slow

*2025-03-27, version 2.8.4*

Decently accurate but too slow to detect changes to be useful

### 4/5 — Fonctionne bien

*2026-02-18, version 2.9.4*

### 4/5 — Update

*2026-01-10*

I love the app. For some reason, it crashes when I open it from the Home Screen. When I open it from the “app list/drawer, it does fine. One time, I restarted my phone and it worked from the Home Screen. The next time I tried it, it didn’t work from the Home Screen. I love the app though. I just open it from the app drawer now to use it.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best Auto BPM Detector I’ve Used!

*2026-05-05*

Love the app! Works flawlessly. I even have it streaming to a lyrics monitor for my drummer to follow. Would love to be able to store a setlist with preset target BPMs in it. Then he could just switch from song to song and know what tempo he is targeting while he plays and follows along with the app. Great job!!

### 5/5 — Best BPM app ever

*2026-03-11*

Easy to use. Very customizable. Perfect for when I’m a show wondering what the bpm is!

### 5/5 — Does the thing

*2026-02-06*

Only what you need, nothing you don’t

### 5/5 — The Real Deal

*2026-02-02*

Significantly better than all the other BPM apps: it actually finds it for you at the touch of a button, and doesn't harass you with obnoxious ads. I finally don't have to tap along with the music on an app some high schooler could make in an afternoon 🙄 Thanks Auto BPM team!

### 5/5 — Essential tool for vinyl DJs

*2026-01-28, version 2.9.4*

I don’t write reviews often so it takes a good app for me to add my virtual ‘thumbs up’ endorsement. Auto BPM is THE app for DJs who play vinyl and want to quickly catalogue tracks or know your BPM in an instant.

Kudos to the developer for creating a brilliant app that is simple, privacy respecting and dependable when you need it.

One thing I’d love to see is the option to add Ableton Link to the MIDI section. It would be awesome to sync my vinyl to my Denon DJ Engine digital decks or a drum machine. It could take the job of Link to MIDI as a one stop shop.

### 5/5 — This is awesomesauce!

*2026-01-19, version 2.9.4*

This is a great app for production dudes like me, Omer Fedii

### 5/5 — Amazing app!

*2025-10-26, version 2.9.4*

I am a fitness instructor and this app is life changing!

### 5/5 — Does exactly what I need it to do

*2025-10-08*

I’ve only had the app for an hour but it is doing exactly what I need it to do. Easy to use as well.

### 5/5 — Bpm finder

*2025-05-25, version 2.9*

Fantastic

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2025-04-29*

This app is awesome! It makes finding music for my spin classes so easy!
