## What is AutoBracket HDR?

AutoBracket brings to iPhone/iPad the “auto-bracketing” feature previously only seen in high-end DSLR cameras! You can shoot 3 photos in rapid succession, each at a different exposure compensation. This allows you to shoot now and choose the best exposure later, or to merge the 3 photos into one HDR photo.

- Features on newer devices (iPhone 5, 5S, 6, 6+, retina iPad) -
* Merge 3 exposures to capture much higher dynamic range
* Precisely control the 3 exposures via a bracket slider
* View color coded histogram for optimal choice of center exposure
* Control focus and exposure independently
* Speed - capture and merging is fast
* Fine tune highlights, shadows, and vibrance using sliders
* Timed capture, thirds grid to guide composition, effect filters
* Full support for front and back facing camera
* Convenient sharing features (Facebook, Twitter, email, Instagram)

- Features on older or lower-memory devices (iPhone 4S & below, iPod Touch, non-retina iPad) are reduced because of device constraints -
* Precisely control the 3 exposures via a bracket slider
* View color coded histogram for optimal choice of center exposure
* Control focus and exposure independently
* Timed capture, thirds grid to guide composition
* Support for front and back facing camera

### 3/5 — Good companion to desktop app

*2022-11-17, version 1.1*

I think the app gets a bad review b/c people expect the whole HDR package but, this app does well to take three different bracketed photos that you can merge with more powerful desktop apps.

### 1/5 — NOT compatible with iOS 15.5

*2022-05-18, version 1.1*

Cannot select photo album

### 1/5 — Hoping I hear from them

*2021-07-25, version 1.1*

Both apps simply won’t work. Awaiting their reply. Hopefully they support their apps

### 1/5 — Forget this

*2019-07-31, version 1.1*

When one tries to use this a pop up occurs saying access was not granted. Go to privacy-photos and grant access YET the app does not appear. It does appear in camera and is turned on BUT one can not take photos. Rip off!!!!

### 1/5 — Fail

*2019-06-23, version 1.1*

Needs update. Doesn't work. Won't do anything, doesn't send request to system to use camera. Can't'allow it to use the camera, of it's not even in the list. Fail.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work on latest iOS

*2019-06-06, version 1.1*

The app doesn’t correctly request camera permissions, so it doesn’t show up in the privacy page of settings as a target to grant camera access to. Pretty much defeats the purpose of a camera app...

### 1/5 — Won’t work - period.

*2019-03-19, version 1.1*

No support. There is no way to grant permission for this app to work! It does not appear in the privacy settings.

### 2/5 — Please update

*2019-02-03, version 1.1*

I love this app until iOS 11. I used to take Bracket photos with another app (up to 15). I would use this app to combine them. Now this app will not get access to photos. I spoke to dev when this first happened and they assured me of an update to correct the issue. It feels like a year and still nothing. I did pay for the app and I thing they should provide support for iOS 11. Like they told me they would.

### 1/5 — Do not purchase

*2018-12-12, version 1.1*

This app does not work on current releases. Read all the reviews (I should have). There are issues with privacy setting. Only bracketing app I found and am dissapointed it doesn't work. Emailed support and received no response.

### 1/5 — App won’t allow camera access

*2018-11-26, version 1.1*

When I opened the app, it told me to go to settings, privacy, camera to enable access to my iPhone 8 camera. But the app doesn’t show up on the page for me to enable. Must be a flaw in programming. They should test all this before releasing it.

## Frequently asked questions about AutoBracket HDR

### What is AutoBracket HDR?

AutoBracket HDR is a mobile application that brings the professional feature of automatic exposure bracketing to iPhones and iPads. It allows you to capture multiple photos at different exposure levels in quick succession, enabling you to choose the best shot later or combine them to create high dynamic range (HDR) images.

### What are the key features of AutoBracket HDR?

Key features include automatic exposure bracketing, the ability to merge three exposures into a single HDR photo, precise control over exposure levels via a bracket slider, independent control of focus and exposure, histogram viewing, and fine-tuning of highlights, shadows, and vibrance. It also offers timed capture, a composition grid, and sharing options.

### Is AutoBracket HDR free to use?

Based on the provided information, AutoBracket HDR is a paid application. There are no mentions of in-app purchases or advertisements, indicating a one-time purchase model.

### What devices is AutoBracket HDR compatible with?

The app offers full features on newer devices like iPhone 5, 5S, 6, 6+, and retina iPads. Older or lower-memory devices such as iPhone 4S and below, iPod Touch, and non-retina iPads have reduced features due to device constraints.

### How can AutoBracket HDR improve my photos?

By using automatic exposure bracketing, you can capture scenes with a wider range of light and shadow detail than a single exposure allows. This is particularly useful for high-contrast scenes. Merging these exposures into an HDR photo can result in images with more detail in both the brightest and darkest areas, creating a more visually appealing and realistic representation.
