I’ve had two for a year now and they worked great for months. Now, zero alerts, unable to “find” the car (for either car), online or via app. Firmware was updated. Replaced a device. Deleted, reinstalled app. No improvement. Most frustrating, company states “we’re working hard to figure this out” ... No communication for a month... I ask what’s going on... they said “looks okay on our end.” Very disappointing. ### 1/5 — Didn’t work at all *2020-06-17, version 4.3.1* I bought it never work they told me the fuse in my not working obd fuse I call me dealer they laugh at me saying there’s no fuse for obd I tell me they send me new adapter will update after I get the new one The new one never show any notification alert and run 3 to 5 mint behind I have the vip one it should update every 5 Second Customer service never pick up the phone or call back ### 1/5 — Makes the dashboard light up like a Christmas tree *2020-06-06, version 4.3.1* So I bought a couple of devices from them and they worked fine for a while, then around mid April or so my Maserati dashboard lit up with a bunch of error codes.. took it to the dealership for them to check it and they couldn’t find what was wrong so I decided to unplug the device and all the issues stopped. Called them the other day to ask if the device was causing these issues and I was told by the rep that yes, the devices were causing this but it could be fixed with a firmware update (which they did) and the device still makes the car go crazy... at this point I am just trying to get my money back as this does not work properly. ### 3/5 — Stopped opening *2020-02-22, version 4.3.1* Used to work great but stopped working after last update ### 1/5 — Can’t cancel subscription *2020-01-21, version 4.3.1* Decided to cancel the subscription due to the fact that alot of features on this app do not work, and have emailed customer service about a week ago and still have not heard back. Will have to dispute the charge if they don't get back with me. Cannot recommend this app anymore. Have had this for several years to better keep track of my dad. Have had to have it replaced several times, and recently it keeps saying the site is having difficulty try later. I try to login with mo luck and when I try to reset my password it just gives me a blank screen ### 1/5 — Waste *2025-07-25, version 4.4.1* This is a waste of money. I can’t rest my password and the app is not supported for android. Website stinks and the app on iPhone does not load. I’ve been trying to cancel this service but there’s no one to talk to and no way to log in into my account to cancel. The app for tracking your car is neat, but there are better products and services for that. They won’t pay you if you need roadside assistance (3rd party dispatch call center said account was invalid and they ghosted me when trying to get reimbursed later), and they make it impossible to cancel once you have a recurring payment set up. ### 1/5 — No Longer Works *2023-12-28* I've had more than one Autobrain device over the last three years and have been patient through various glitches and temporary interruptions in service. Most of the time, the device has worked and I've learned how to reset it when needed. However, for over a week now, their servers have been down so nothing works. Not the app or their website or even their email system. I called and left a message but haven't heard back. This is the last straw for me and I'm finally going to go with a different device. Only trouble is, since Autobrain's app, website, and email are down, I have no idea how I'm going to cancel the monthly subscription (other than dispute the next charge through my bank or cancel my debit card so they can no longer charge me). What a disaster. Find a better solution than Autobrain! ### 1/5 — Very disappointing *2022-12-09, version 4.4.1* I bought an Autobrain shortly after my car was stolen in May of 2020 and have had it since. Soon after, I noticed the driving history wasn’t accurate so I stopped checking it and bought an Apple AirTag to have a real-time location of my car while also keeping the safety features of the Autobrain. About a month ago I decided to check my driving history and come to find out it had stopped tracking 8 MONTHS AGO (April 2022). I reached out to customer service about this and apparently they updated their tracking device and I needed an entirely new one. So without any sort of notice, I’ve been driving around with an outdated tracker while Autobrain continued to charge me for my annual fees. Confused as to why Autobrain wouldn’t send out an email of any changes. On top of that, you have to send back your old tracker or they charge you extra for that too. They claim to mail a prepaid envelope with your new tracker but they don’t. You have to go into the post office and pay for it to be shipped out. Super inconvenient. All around crappy customer service. And not worry-free tracking device. ### 1/5 — Worked for 2 weeks then nothing *2022-02-06, version 4.4.1* App worked and tracked my daughters car for 2 weeks then just stopped. They sent a refresh but still nothing for the past 3 days. ### 1/5 — Problems *2021-10-12, version 4.4.1* I’ve been with them for about three months and I am already on my second device with the same vehicle. We are the top package that I have the first unit was not giving me an accurate location and it was not updating within seconds as the subscriptionOffer. They send me a replacement device but now after two days and four trips that device still has not synchronized with the app. It worked just great after the first two days once I receive the first device but from there is downhill. As of October 12, 2021 they are still working on the problem. They say it’s probably from the manufacture that is currently has the issue. ### 1/5 — Poor customer service poor product *2021-04-21, version 4.4.1* 2 devices from this company, neither device worked. They don’t answer calls ever. And when you email them the response is poor. The app it’s self half works but hard to tell when the product required to connect to the app does not work and they don’t attempt to help. Unfortunately bought it before he had his car, eventually when he hot his car I put it in seemed good but onlyworked3 days! My son has a long distance drive which was the whole points of this. Now this doesn’t work, I’ve been told to try different cars, check fuses everything even spend the money to have mechanic check when it was installed & fined nothing happened & we checked the fuses. I had tried several other tracker-type applications via the App Store, and every one of them basically sucked and was a waste of my time and money. What makes Autobrain different? Well, for starters, Autobrain works...98% of the time. It worked right out of the box and was easy to set up. Compared to the other apps in the marketplace, this is apparently an extraordinary accomplishment! But stopping with that accolade would diminish the other things that make this product stand out above the competition. Roadside assistance comes with your Autobrain membership (I ditched AAA & saved $120). Thru the OBD scanner you can access to your car’s engine codes and fault diagnosis. As far as tracking goes, The mobile app works well, as does their website. Both provide you with the ability to go back in history if you wanted to find out where your car has been. I really love how I can get live, instant updates as to where my teenager is driving (and at what speed). Autobrain’s customer service is ridiculously efficient and friendly. The price is right, too (although I do think that they should discount membership fees for additional vehicles). ### 5/5 — Great for small fleets *2019-01-07, version 4.2.3* This is a great solution for fleet tracking.
