Dead App *2019-11-30, version 2.1* Such a shame...what a waste of money..... ### 3/5 — Crashes, needs an update *2019-10-09, version 2.1* This has the potential to be a great app as it stores gas and service info easily. Unfortunately the app crashes when you try to send a report or back it up to icloud. Another minor inconvenience is that it forces the user to enter a next service mileage number, when often that number is unknown. Worse, there is no support contact info for the developer. Frustrating, with a few bug fixes, it could be perfect. ### 3/5 — Almost a great app *2018-08-27, version 2.1* Recently have been having problems with “maintenance required”. It now shows I need maintenance on everything. I have checked the mileage to go for future maintenance services and all show there is still time to go, but at the bottom left on the main page it shows the time is up. I have tried contacting the app developers but get no reply. Very frustrating. Also noticed that the last review was a year ago ????? ### 3/5 — Clunky UX/UI but has promise if polished *2017-12-30* This app has a lot of promise but needs some work. In its current state, it is a no frills, generic app that requires some tweaking to bring it up to App Store standard I’m used to with other apps I’ve purchased for far less. - Some of the service form fields should be able to be left blank. It is annoying when you don’t have all the information on hand but want to enter something and come back to it later. - it is clear that this app is a port from a different language or from a template, not that there is anything wrong with that, but it has a very generic feel to it. For example, Tire Rotate is one of the services listed. It should be Tire Rotation for the U.S.. I’m not sure what lantern refers to., etc... - The reminders should be optional and not required. Also, a time based reminder should be an option. ( I.e. every three months). - it would be nice to be able to paste images in the observation field. This would be useful so you can visually document if you need to. - on an iPad 10.5, the icons are huge. Though, this could be a good thing for some people. - the home page should be configurable. I don’t track fuel but it’s at the top and center and I can’t move/remove it. - This should allow you to upload a picture of your vehicle to be used as an avatar. It would be nice to be able to personalize the app. Some of the good things... - icons are huge. Great for aging eyes - iCloud sync - lots of icons to select for custom services - It lists most if not all services that can be performed on your car. - function over form. It does what it’s supposed to. I’m sure there are more things to write about but I have only spent an hour using it so consider this as an initial impression. ### 3/5 — Better with some small tweaks! *2017-12-28* Overall the app is pretty good. As some others have mentioned, it would be good to be able to delete an entry if needed. It would be good if you could edit..or...delete some of the catagories also. As it sits currently, you are only able create and edit entries but not delete any of them. You cannot delete or edit any of the pre-loaded or created catagories either. ### 3/5 — It’s ok ... *2017-10-05* Good interface, good tools, but some things don’t work right. Trying to enter a Tire Change saves as a Tire Rotation for some reason. No way to delete entries once entered. Needs some work. ### 4/5 — Amazing Maintenance *2017-08-25* I honestly love this app is so worth the money you can have all your cars data recorded😁😁, I havnt encountered any issues or glitches But 🤔 One small issue is the way to switch between two cars seems a bit unnatural it should be something like swiping to a direction and it'll switch Or having a dericated switching button But other than thats the UI is colorful and easy to read and understand And the monthly reports are super helpful as long as you keep tabs on the things you do like fuel or services ### 2/5 — Disappointing *2017-08-07* The ui seems visually nice, but not well designed from a user interaction perspective. From the home screen choosing between cars seems awkward. The reporting screen only gives immediate past time filters by default (no more than a month). I went to add a smog check, but it wasn't among the default options. I went to add it and the icons scroll behind buttons for some reason. Overall clunky ### 4/5 — Love this simple little app *2017-04-03, version 2.0* We've been using it for years. Glad to see it get an update for iOS 10. hopefully, that means 64-bit update. ### 3/5 — AutoCare *2016-11-21, version 1.6.1* App works fine on one device only. It does not sync very well between devices. Printouts excellent. Entry of data is good. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Was a great app, not updated for a long time *2021-11-19* Last update was a long time ago. iCloud backup crashes the app. No cloud-based shared option (wife and I share vehicles, so we have to update the other via messaging to the other can update the app for “their” primary vehicle). ### 1/5 — Stop working *2020-12-18* It just stopped working. Not happy ### 1/5 — Use to be a great app *2020-12-15* Have used this app for years and was great. Now the app won’t open and all attempts to contact developers has been ignored. Now all the app does is crash. ### 1/5 — Not working; support unreachable! *2020-12-11, version 2.1* Worked perfectly until the most recent iOS updates; now won’t open at all. Emails to app support are unanswered. ### 1/5 — Love it, but doesn’t work in iOS 14.2 *2020-12-03, version 2.1* It doesn’t work in iOS 14.2. I emailed support but haven’t heard back. I was able to find the SQLite database, which holds all of the data, using iExplorer, browsing the backup I made of my phone, and dragging the file onto my Mac. The file is located in App/com.idevmobile.AutoCare/Documents in case they don’t update it for compatibility. I do love the app and hope the update is worth their time. ### 1/5 — Not Working *2020-11-14, version 2.1* Last update was three years ago. This app stopped working IOS 14.2 was introduced. Literally, the app does not open. Until then it was a great app. ### 1/5 — Used to be a great app *2020-11-06, version 2.1* This used to be a great app but no longer opens since iOS was updated to 14.2 ### 1/5 — About time developers put out an update *2017-04-05* It took 3 years for Developers to finally put an update out. App should automatically sync with Dropbox. I still give the app 1 star for the lateness of this update. I have been sending support emails for the last 2 years and never once have I received a reply back. 😡 ### 1/5 — Dishonest developer beware! *2015-10-20, version 1.6.1* 10/19/2015 I purchased the full version of this app and it does not backup to iCloud. I contacted the developer and was told by the developer that they had issues with the app working with iCloud but it would be fixed soon. After a number of months it was still not working so I asked the developed to refund my money, but the developer has refused to reply to my emails. There is no reason for the developer to act this way. All the developer has to do is tell me and other prospective customers that this app cannot be backed up with iCloud. Then refund those of us that find doing backups on iCloud is a necessity. This is not happening. When I checked my first two reviews today they were deleted from the reviews for all versions. It is dishonest to allow developers to erase reviews that will tell the truth about the flaws in their products. We need to be told the truth about apps so that we can decide for ourself if we want to purchase them. I realize that this is only a couple dollars lost, but when looking at larger picture of all the apps on the iTunes Store there is a lot of money at stake. I have purchased over 300 apps and this is not the first time this has happened. In reading reviews over the years I'm not the only one who is upset over this kind of treatment. If this review is deleted again then I will take this action as premeditated fraud, which will result in legal action. Apple if you are reading this I have been a loyal Apple customer since 1985. Since then a lot of things have changed in how Apple treats its customers. If it takes a class action lawsuit to put your house back in order then so be it. My hope is that You will take the positive path and do the right thing. There are a lot of great apps out there and it is a shame to darken their reputation by allowing this kind of dishonest business. If this kind of greed based activity is allowed to prosper then this will be the downfall of Apple which I am ready to fight against. ### 1/5 — Great 5 Star App...But; *2014-09-27, version 1.6* I have requested support on Auto Care on major issues I encountered. Regrettably, no response from customer service to date. Auto Care: “1 STAR” - (S/B 5 Stars - See 3 Major Issues Below). PROs: Excellent application for tracking you vehicles Auto Maintenance & Fuel/Mileage. Has preconfigured Service Types and allow you to add your own Custom Service Types. Excellent options for Printing Reports and EZ to use application. Great iCloud or Drop Box backup choices.... They work!! Once you spend the hours/days to configure and enter all your vehicle records, it is almost a sweet application, ........But; CONS - (3 Major application issues): [1] Any “Observations (notes) entered for a Service Type Record are never printed onto the reports: For example; my Observation (note): “Tire wear uneven” or any of my Observations entered never print. [2] Major Issue with Auto Care: Any Service Type Records which contains an “Observation” entry, Will Not Be Backed Up by Auto Care. In fact any record with a Observation note just vanishes from the data base???? [3] Can not be use on multiple devices due to the loss of all record(s) with Observation entries. I have email developers and no response. I even sent this Review before posting to see if they want their 5 Stars. This is good news because it is a really good app and it would have been a shame for it to become outdated and unusable. ** Previous review** Have used this app for sometime and it is really useful. However now apple warns the app may slow down your phone. No updates seem forthcoming with silence from the designers about updating.
