### 4/5 — Prima app

*2026-08-02, version 5.4.3*

Jammer gebruikt de app bij de opeenvolging van de akkoorden geen omkeringen . Zou interessant zijn bij linkerhand voor keyboard

### 4/5 — PLEASE ADD MIDI OUT

*2026-05-20, version 5.4.1*

This app is really good but please add MIDI OUT

### 3/5 — Certain Chords Not Available For Custom Builder

*2025-09-30, version 5.3.1*

I don’t see the ability to add augmented chords, only the ability to add chords borrowed from other keys. I’d love to be able to add all the different chord qualities to my progressions.

### 5/5 — 快出中文版本吧

### 4/5 — A couple small things

*2025-03-26, version 5.2.0*

Hard to figure out at first but really cool. I wish they would do octaves too! <3

### 5/5 — Cool app

*2025-01-10, version 5.1.0*

I’m really enjoying this app

### 2/5 — Longer progressions

*2024-12-10, version 4.0.3*

I really wish there was an option for progressions with more than four changes. It heavily limits the utility of this within a workflow.

### 5/5 — 👍🏾

*2024-11-06, version 4.0.3*

Excellent

### 5/5 — The simplicity of design is key to improving

*2024-09-21, version 4.0.3*

Auto chords is a very versatile programme. It gives sufficient chords to cycle through in the major, minor, and b keys. Then it allows the tweaking of borrowing chords through circle of fifths.
I use the application before my weekly guitar lessons with the metronome and no other setting.
This programme has increased my chord knowledge in the 1-IV-V format, as each chord is annotated to its place within the key etc.
Well worth the money

### 3/5 — relative scales

*2024-09-19, version 4.0.3*

awesome app except when you want to change a minor scale chord progression into the "major version" (or vice versa) it offers to do so using the relative major key - but doing so results in a parallel transposition to that key rather than a relative one. This means , for example, when going from a minor key to a major key, VII becomes vii° rather than V - which sounds very bad. perhaps the goal is to allow the user to experiment, but there really should be a relative transposition offered if there's going to be a parallel one.

### 5/5 — Make this brillant

*2024-09-03, version 4.0.3*

This app is a great usable four chord progression. If the maker would increase to 8 chord turnarounds looping a sequence. Also show the guitar chord pictures in sequence. This then would be a super app and learning tool. We still love this app the way it is in free use.

THINK WHAT THIS APP WOULD ACHIVE FOR LEARNING Music.

### 4/5 — Solid framework

*2024-08-15, version 4.0.3*

Really great app for the bare bones essentials. Would love to see the incorporation of TS outside of 4/4 with additional chord variations.

### 4/5 — Good good

*2024-08-03, version 4.0.3*

Chord progressions are cool and super useful. You can sound out the progressions and you’re provided the chord notes

… but why are the chords written preferentially using sharps … like me seeing c d# g a# for cmin7 or ab c d# for ab maj is kinda weird.

### 4/5 — Good, but limited

*2024-07-13, version 4.0.3*

The chords are only based on the western modes, and they’re is only 4 chords in a progression. I would like mixing non-diatonic chords in with the diatonic chords.

### 5/5 — Great tool

*2024-07-12, version 4.0.3*

Always comes in handy almost daily

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-12-29, version 5.3.1*

It’s not possible to add lyrics with chords in and play the song. What’s the use to listen to some chords? Waste of time. I deleted it right away!!!

### 1/5 — The app interface is okay, but it's so bad that there's no nine-tone option. It's too basic.

*2025-05-25, version 5.3.0*

The app interface is okay, but it's so bad that there's no nine-tone option. It's too basic.

### 1/5 — Only 4 Chords

*2025-01-04, version 5.1.0*

It’s pretty useless having only 4 chords to work with.

### 1/5 — where is Bbmaj7

*2023-11-23, version 4.0.3*

kinda sad i wasted $5 on this app bc it only lets me use a very limited range of chords

### 1/5 — Bruh wut

*2022-09-21, version 3.5.7*

   cash to change the tempo
             dirty.

### 1/5 — Makes songwriting boring

*2022-08-23, version 3.5.7*

This defeats the purpose of songwriting. You’re supposed to come up with chord progressions by yourself. Not by an app.

### 1/5 — Songs

*2022-07-27, version 3.5.7*

Would like to put in songs and get chord progressions.

### 1/5 — I really expected a lot more…

*2022-04-18, version 3.5.7*

I really expected a lot more… Can’t add more than 4 chords for a progression?? Really 🙈

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Just amazing

*2026-07-15, version 5.4.3*

I have the free version and I love it it’s helped me with song writing sooo sooo much! There’s more you can do if you pays for premium but there’s so much too do on the free version sooo do recommend!!

### 5/5 — Great tool for starters and up

*2026-06-17, version 5.4.3*

I have used this countless of times to work on compositions it’s beautifully made as a sidekick while learning as well!

### 5/5 — Awesome practice tool and app support

*2026-05-29, version 5.4.2*

I use this app for practicing individual chords, progressions, and as backing tracks for scale-based soloing and it’s awesome. The pre-loaded progressions are great and I also appreciate being able to create and save my own progressions.

I recently had an issue with the app not working on an older iPad and the developer fixed it straightaway. Awesome customer support- much appreciated!

This app is a regular part of my guitar practice routine. The only thing I’d like is some different guitar voicing as I’m more of a rock/metal guy and the current option is only acoustic.

### 5/5 — Love !!!! AUTOCHORDS!!

*2025-12-14, version 5.3.1*

### 5/5 — Excellent App and developer.

*2025-07-28, version 5.3.0*

This app has been invaluable to me for a number of years. Even after all these years, when I ran into a problem, due to an error on my part, the developer helped me out immediately and took care of it. Highly recommend.
Good stuff!

### 5/5 — Great App

*2025-06-22, version 5.3.0*

Thanq So Much For This App Its Really Good For Practice i definitely purchase pro version

### 5/5 — Great App

*2025-06-21, version 5.3.0*

Can’t say enough good things about this app. Sometimes you have a melody in your head and you’re not near your instruments, this app is perfect. Sometimes you want to write on the go and this app is a great tool for that.

### 5/5 — Perfect!

*2025-05-17, version 5.3.0*

A great app for music creation or chord leaning! This app has helped me tremendously so far and is constantly getting better with new updates. No need to worry about clunky UI because that’s no where to be found here. The apps interface is smooth and intuitive, making the Lifetime membership well worth getting.

### 5/5 — Songwriters prompt

*2025-04-22, version 5.2.0*

So helpful when thinking about different progressions when writing a song. Like a writing prompt, it helps spark your creative “juices” I guess would be the right way to say it. Really like that it gives you a backing rhythm beat that you can speed up or slow down. Nice to have other variations in the same key. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking to write their own music.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2025-04-14, version 5.2.0*

Very good tool for practicing progressions
