## What is Autonomic Workload?

Autonomic Workload is a health and wellness app that helps you get a sense of your mental effort — how much effort your activities take — from your heart-rate signals.

The app pairs over Bluetooth with a compatible Movesense chest-strap heart sensor to record your heart rate during rest and activity sessions. From these signals it gives you a sense of your effort, and securely syncs your recordings to your personal account.

Features:
• Pairs with a compatible Movesense chest-strap sensor over Bluetooth Low Energy
• Records a short rest session and follow-on activity sessions
• Gives you a sense of your effort from your heart-rate signals
• Live signal-quality, battery, and connection indicators so you know your recording is clean and syncing
• Keeps recording through brief network drops and syncs automatically when the connection returns
• Simple, guided session flow with optional effort check-ins

Autonomic Workload is intended for adults. A compatible Movesense sensor are required to use the app.

Autonomic Workload is a general wellness and fitness tool for informational purposes only. It is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Privacy: The app records your heart-rate data, location during sessions, and your check-in responses, and stores them securely in your account. See our privacy policy for how data is collected, used, retained, and deleted.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.0.2 — 2026-08-21

• Choose an affiliation and name your session right at the start of a baseline,
so you can begin a session and put the phone down
• Edit a session's name or affiliation later from Activity History
• Sessions started from a paired computer now show a timer and a Stop button on
the phone, and baselines run that way are saved as baselines — without the
name prompt or the post-session rating
• Sessions are saved even if the app closes mid-recording
• Session length is recorded accurately for long recordings
• Connection status stays out of the way — an indicator appears only when
something needs attention, with a progress cue while saved data uploads
• Activity history and baseline checks no longer clear when you lose signal
• Session details saved while offline now upload reliably once you reconnect
• Fixed an issue where the phone could stop accepting new session requests
  after a recording was stopped
