The app helps me in my planning of where to fly limitations and other aspects that make flying a drone so awesome. I might recommend somehow adding a layer in the map to show some of the powerlines or utility lines that might give another deterrent or help in proper planning for flights. No icon, no safety radius, nothing. If I’m in an area I do not know I need to know the specifics of these things and these are featured in other apps. Be advised before you purchase is all. I’ve been using this app since April 2025 and I can only report good things about it. it runs flawlessly on the iPhone 17 Pro Max. This app is underrated and should get more exposure. people that say that this app is flawed need to stop thinking it’s the app because it’s not it’s your trash device !! I’ve been using this app since April 2025 and I’ve never had a problem with it. I have flown in various locations with the presence of law enforcement and without as long as you are following FAA. Rules and regulations and you have this app that certifies that you have permission to fly you are golden. I love how the monthly fee is being used to improve the app with the ongoing improvement such as latitude and longitude and active weather just the name of a few if you’re a serious pilot, then you need to consider using this app and getting the permission required before you fly it’s not worth taking chances and with the government constantly changing their mind on drones this is $$$ in the bank !! Not including PR in the app is a deal killer for me. ### 1/5 — Seriously?? You Can’t Change Your Email Address?? *2026-02-08, version 1.20.1* The app asked if I wanted to use Apple to sign up and pay. So I did for ease of use thinking I’d change the email from my personal one to my business email. But there is no option to change it. Tried a restart and delete and reinstall, still crashes upon opening. ### 1/5 — TFR’s aren’t working properly *2024-05-21, version 1.11.0* TFR’s don’t work properly on this app. For example today 5-21-24 there was a 30 mile TFR around Boston for the present and I went to check the app and I could see some additional red zones but when I put a pin down to get authorization to fly the red zone disappeared and it said I was clear for take off when I wasn’t. ### 1/5 — No iPad Support & Missing Controlled Airspaces *2024-04-02* Seems like a nice app, but I was totally disappointed when I downloaded to my iPad Mini, which I use often within my drones, to find out it it’s only an iPhone version. I will continue to use Air Control from Aloft until a version that supports the iPad becomes available. Also some Controlled Airspaces are missing. I live in Vero Beach, Florida and have Vero Beach to my north and Forth Pierce airport to my south. Fort Pierce Airspace doesn’t show up. Looks like a good start, but still has a lot of things to fix. I can’t trust an application that doesn’t show me Control Airspaces. Who know what else is missing. They claim to show TFRs, but will they really show them? If I'm going to use an app to save me time and not have to go to a lot of places to look for information, I expect it to be correct all the time. **Developer response:** Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. Regarding the missing controlled airspaces, Autopylot maps are dynamic and show advisories specific to your flight's location, time, date, and duration. In the Vero Beach area, several airspaces operate on a schedule and are not active 24 hours a day. In other words, they are sometimes controlled airspace and other times revert to Class G. If you were checking the app during times when the airspace was uncontrolled, then they wouldn't appear on the map. However, you can access the airspace schedule in the flight checklist by finding the advisory labeled scheduled airspace and tapping "show schedule." This allows you to see all the times the airspace is active or inactive. Similarly, Autopylot displays all Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs), but if the TFR schedule doesn't overlap with your flight parameters (location, time, date, duration), it will not appear on the map. I went on vacation to PR and was unable to use the app while there. ### 1/5 — A**hole design *2024-02-03* When you start the app it tries to force you to accept notifications. It doesn’t give you the option to decline. You just have to say accept and then cancel iOS’s dialogue. Only then does the option show up. I do have the paid version which includes all the weather features, and it has been worth every penny. I like the ability to fully notate missions, file LAANC easily, add custom checklists, and export the missions as a PDF for my records. I haven’t had any major issues and the few technical questions I had were addressed quickly by the developers.
