AutoSilent automatically mutes your iDevice (iPhone, iPad) during meetings, scheduled times or at selected locations. Comes with 7 days free trial period. After this you may purchase an auto-renewing subscription through an In-App Purchase. This tab is not intended to be used to add or modify events. To add new event just open your Calendar application and add/modify your event. AutoSilent will automatically synchronize with your calendars. On first run, make sure to allow AutoSilent to get your current location and allow it to get notifications. AutoSilent synchronizes with your calendars and automatically silents your iDevice during meetings. AutoSilent automatically re-sets your iDevice back to Regular/Ring mode at the end of the meeting. AutoSilent is a location based application. It can detect your current location and mute your iDevice automatically when you are at School or at the University. AutoSilent will set your iDevice back to Regular/Ring mode when you leave those places. Don’t miss an important call because you forget to un mute your phone. Don’t be embarrassed by alerts that go on while you are in a meeting. Let AutoSilent do the job for you. Calendar event is considered silent when: 1. Availability is busy 2. Not a whole day event 3. Event notes do not contain !ring 4. Event notes contain !silent Calendar Tab – This tab shows you the next meeting that AutoSilent will automatically mute your iDevice Locations Tab – Lists locations where AutoSilent automatically mutes your iDevice. You can click on any of the location rows and make modifications. Settings Tab - Calendar Silent: enables or disables mute for calendar events. Location silent: enables or disables mute for Location events. Ring/Silent Notification: Enables or disables notification alerts whenever iDevice changes its mode from mute to un mute and vice versa. Next Silent Event: Specifies the number of days to look forward for the next Silent event in your calendar(s). (Defaults to 30 days) Location Radius: Specifies the radius where AutoSilent checks for location events. (Defaults to 500 meters) Calendar: Selects the calendar to check for calendar events. (Defaults to ALL calendars) Silent Out Of Office: Silence the phone during "Out Of Office" events. Keep Mute Status: When selected AutoSilent will not change your iDevice to ring mode if it was silent before event was started. Only !silent events: AutoSilent will only look for !silent events in your selected calendars. Mute on WiFi network: put _all for all WiFi networks or the WiFi name that will be used by AutoSilent to mute your device once you are connected to that network. AutoSilent will unmute your device once you are disconnected from that network. It was a lifetime purchase I got ripped off. ### 1/5 — Broken *2026-04-24, version 8.2* I have used this app for several years and it’s been fantastic. The latest update looks cool, but it has completely broken the silence by location functionality. ### 4/5 — Better than DND *2026-04-19* It's better than iphone focus or DND.. It still let's you get call or text silent vibration alerts. The new update is nice looking but would be better if you can direct access the different features by pressing the icons on the home screen... Going to the menu is clunky. Thank you for this APP! ### 5/5 — More control of your phone *2025-03-14, version 8.1* Back in the day, Nokia phones could be programmed with infinitely variable profiles that combined all of your phone settings that could change based on many many circumstances, like time of day, location, available networks etc. The iPhone had nothing like that for most of its history. For those of us who had come to rely on Nokia’s rock solid scheduling of silence and privacy this was nuts. AutoSilent provided a simpler but powerful substitute for the years before Apple introduced the increasingly complex and nuanced combination of Do not disturb, Focuses and automations. AutoSilent still provides the most robust way to keep your phone silent on a schedule or timer, and equally importantly, to turn the sound back on at the right time. ### 1/5 — Paid for it already *2024-10-16* Like many others I paid for this app over 10 years ago and the company should have grandfathered those purchases in. I like the app and tried the new monthly subscription model. In the end, my love for the app couldn’t overcome the bitterness of the way in which this subscription service was rolled out. Hope Apple does something similar for free soon. No need to respond, I’ve read enough of the other responses. Thanks for 12 years of great service. ### 1/5 — App not working - why pay? *2024-09-17, version 8.1* $2 per month is ridiculous. I might consider l paying $5 per year. Why should I pay for an app that is no longer working properly? If it is not working because certain features have been disabled, I could get on board with that and would be willing to pay an annual fee. However, I am not certain that the app would work even then. It is September 2024. When I click on app support, I am taken to a submission screen that is dated 2011. I opened it up only to discover it has gone to subscription only. :( Why would i subscribe to something that I already paid for, and which hasn’t significantly updated features, design, or function since I bought it 9 years ago? —original review— This is a great little “set it and forget it” app. 4 stars instead of 5 because the instructions are a little difficult to understand, and the design isn’t great. Once I figured out what I wanted it works in the background. I put the !silent code in the notes of variable calendar events, chose the times and locations of recurring events, and use the timer function for spontaneous stuff. I’m not interrupted by calls or texts during classes, lessons, religious services, movies, or meetings.
