### 2/5 — Crashes way too much

*2024-07-23, version 9.0.3*

I appreciate an iOS app but it is incredibly frustrating that this app crashes all the time when editing tickets. It is rare that I can put ticket notes in without it crashing wasting 5-10 minutes of time if doing extensive ticket notes.

### 2/5 — Bad app

*2024-06-12, version 9.0.2*

Constantly logs me out after a fee minutes and keeps resetting the biometrics option as if I never configured it even though I have the keep me logged in and biometrics options both enabled.

Adding notes to tickets is also buggy as more often than not the app will just freeze and won’t let you click on save.

### 1/5 — Terrible Company

*2024-01-17, version 9.0.1*

Stay far away from Kaseya products. This app constantly asks you to sign in even though you’ve enabled touch-id or emotion scanner. We’ve submitted bug reports for this and they say it’s a “feature” to have to sign in every time you open the app. The product has gone downhill ever since Kaseya bought them out. Look elsewhere!

### 1/5 — Embarrassing

*2023-11-04, version 8.0.1*

The lack of development with this app has become embarrassing, yet again.

Datto finally started to gain some momentum, but as soon as Kaseya acquired them, all development has again ceased.

Numerous bugs, lack of basic functionality, lack of a modern UI… the list goes on and on. Just trying to edit fields in any given ticket will return “failed to save due to conflict” nearly 50% of the time, but the wizard to resolve the conflict fails 100% of the time. And that’s just one tiny example amidst a haystack of problems.

Put some freaking Dev resources on this and get it done, Kaseya. You guys are embarrassing yourselves.

### 1/5 — Surprisingly Terrible

*2023-09-08, version 8.0.1*

It seems every company makes an app just to have one. That was when IT owners goto purchase a ticketing system Autotask can say, “and look!! we have an application as well.” but if you barely scrape beneath the surface you’ll realize exactly what this app was intended for. getting sales. the app is a meme because it’s complete garbage lol.

### 1/5 — Why 2fa every time

*2023-09-06, version 8.0.1*

What’s the point of Touch ID if I have to enter the 2fa code every time. Extend amount of time before new session login is required.

### 1/5 — Trash. Don’t bother

*2023-08-08, version 8.0.1*

First - click a link to open a ticket, go tot the App Store EVERYTIME to reload.

2nd edit ticket, try to assign get caught in a loop to “resolve conflict.” You cannot get out. Close app

Hope it’s better in a few months, go back to step one

Repeat.

What absolute trash.

### 1/5 — Can’t do anything useful

*2023-06-23, version 8.0.1*

Completely locked down even if you have normal Autotask functionality. Either give us the options or make the main site mobile friendly.

### 1/5 — How does this still not work properly

*2023-02-23, version 7.0.1*

This app has never been good, but now it seems to be even worse than it was somehow. Can’t even enter a basic piece of data because the done button doesn’t work. Absolute garbage. The app needs fixing urgently.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2023-02-13, version 7.0.1*

This app is garbage. They make thousands off their accounts but can manage a simple app on an iPhone. Horrendous.

### 1/5 — Poor app

*2022-12-14, version 7.0.1*

Need a paid version which I can’t see to do anything with it.

### 1/5 — If I could give it 0 stars I would

*2022-10-19, version 7.0.1*

Constantly receiving login error, SSO authentication failed. No issues with SSO on the browser of course. I’ve tried completely deleting the app and reinstalling without luck. Support is beyond useless since before the Kaseys acquisition. Even when it did work, the app experience was wholly unsatisfying and missing basic functionality. Just and embarrassing effort all around.

### 1/5 — Use a different PSA and thank me later.

*2022-05-27, version 7.0.0*

I don’t even know how this passes anyone’s QA team.

1. App is so slow it is barely usable.
2. Clinking on ticket links in emails do not launch mobile app. No clue why. Instead it suggests you need to download the app.
3. Two different interfaces. What a hack job.
4. Everyone has been complaining about these issues for YEARS.

For a company as large as Autotask who SELLS to IT people, did they really think we would have ZERO expectations.

Autotask (now Kaseya) is a company without the right development resources and they exist for one purpose: to serve shareholders so investors can squeeze out maximum value.

I’m sad to say it, but you should look at other PSA tools.

### 1/5 — Should be way better

*2022-05-17, version 7.0.0*

Why is this such a horrible app. 2fa every time, timers stop can’t delete tickets. Can’t find have the office everything. Should be much better, simple and a way better design.

### 1/5 — Uselessly broken

*2022-04-13, version 6.0.0*

Update Apr ‘22:

got an iPad Pro for work. Autotask works “okay” in browser, but the iOS app remains totally useless. Can’t open tickets, can’t log time, text and selector fields come up super wonky/unreadable, and persistent crashes on large tickets with lots of activity. At least they fixed MFA, but still 1 star for failing to achieve any primary functions.

Original review:

I do not generally review apps.

This app is so phenomenally poorly built that I have made a rare exception.

First and foremost, it is completely incompatible with 2FA (two-factor authentication). I have tried with both of the autotask accounts that I use (I am a helpdesk contractor) and it simply will not work. Always throws up errors. One of my companies turned off 2FA enforcement for my account and it finally let me log into that account. Absolutely ludicrous that they support 2FA on the full website and not in the app.

Second, even if you are extremely lucky and it will log you in, the app is so slow and buggy that I have yet to even *once* successfully navigate to a new ticket. It always either crashes or just hangs forever. In short, this app is useless. Never use it. You are better off just doing it on your phone’s web browser.

### 1/5 — Poor

*2022-04-03, version 6.0.0*

Review update. Same review as last time!

For an IT company providing an expensive MSP solution this app is p*ss poor. It’s clunky, it’s slow, not easy to use and so basically doesn’t get used. Datto should be embarrassed and it needs sorting.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Notifications?

*2026-06-13, version 9.2.2*

Agree with all of the negative reviews, but I would just be happy if it had notifications. It’s 2026, for a PSA mobile app to have zero notification capabilities is a real miss, especially for a company with the resources like Kaseya.

### 1/5 — App functionality

*2026-01-27, version 9.2.2*

For the amount of money that you spend to use the applications attached with this app for how this app functions is extremely sad. I constantly have to re-add my time re-add my notes redo everything redo everything redo everything again just like that in order for me to save my time so my company can move forward and close the ticket. Can you guys please do something and improve your apps flow. I got full bars in the access as if I have no signal.

### 1/5 — Limited to useless

*2025-11-29, version 9.2.1*

Used it be OK for checking for any urgent tickets on the go but now flat out can log in due to a server error.

### 1/5 — Single sign on?

*2025-03-31, version 9.0.4*

Where’s the SSO support for Autotask users using Office 365 accounts to sign in?

### 1/5 — Keeps signing out

*2025-03-23, version 9.0.4*

App keeps asking for authorisation and signs me out despite hitting remember me and enabling Face ID

### 1/5 — If it works at all, it is a frustration to use

*2025-03-17, version 9.0.4*

The app asks every time you log in if you want to enable biometric login - answering yes does nothing. You continue to be prompted to set up biometric login AND provide your MFA code.

Taps on menu items / submission buttons do not register as taps. You have to continually tap ‘around’ the button to hit whatever pixel has become the activation point for the button. In many cases this is near the still-functional navigation bar at the top, it will take you away from the form you are trying to submit, causing data loss.

You will frequently need to close the app and reopen in order to reattempt getting to the data you want to navigate to due to endless loading and blank screens (on WiFi, not just cellular)

### 1/5 — Can’t log in

*2024-10-29, version 9.0.4*

Can’t even login. Just sits at loading screen after entering credentials.

### 1/5 — The latest update has made the software completely unusable.

*2024-06-19, version 9.0.2*

Since the new update was pushed to my cell phone, the app does nothing now except open and then immediately close. It is completely useless. More useless than it has ever been. And that, is actually saying something.
There are so many ways that this app could be improved. I almost don’t know where to begin however, I will start with something obscenely obvious.
Instead of having it be dependent upon being online in order to function, allow an off-line function that will let you fill out the ticket and save the ticket locally and when Internet service or Wi-Fi service or phone service is restored then it can upload the data and complete the ticket.
Over the years, I have had so many tickets that have had so much information lost because the cell phone lost connectivity or the system froze up. I have since lost count.

### 1/5 — Absolute garbage

*2024-06-07, version 9.0.2*

Have spoken with various Datto/Kaseya reps for years about this app and the numerous issues it has (approving O365 SSO constantly, issues with opening ticket links into the app, etc) with absolutely zero improvements.

Seems like it would have made more sense for Kaseya to just rework Autotask to be mobile friendly, but doesn’t seem like they can be bothered to do much else than add more 3-year contracts, and buy up more small tech companies

### 1/5 — Not a very functional application

*2024-02-27, version 9.0.1*

Although Autotask itself pretty well designed system, it leaves a lot to desire for in his mobile app at least on iOS. I’ve been using it for two years on iPhone 13 Pro Max to 15 Pro Max basic functionalities that just don’t work!
At the time of writing this, go ahead and create a new ticket and try to add a service call to the service call just seem to work!
I’ve never been able to find different sites from the mobile app. Let’s say you’re on the road and try to find one of the branch offices for a client. Good luck!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Getting There

*2020-03-11, version 2.1.2*

The apps is getting better, slowly, but it is. New UI is way easier to deal with and loads faster than the old one.

Seems like they’re trying to kill off one section of the old app at a time, which makes sense I guess. I’ll suffer for now if it means getting more native features (and getting them right the first time) in the end.

Keep going!

### 5/5 — Release 2.0 is great

*2018-12-07, version 2.0*

We finally have a usable Autotask app!

### 5/5 — Now working

*2017-07-09, version 1.12.1*

After installing the fix the app is now working again. Thank you for quick response

### 5/5 — Good addition

*2016-09-01, version 1.11*

For field techs and one the go persons it's excellent to use to check service desk as well as take notes opposed to busting out a laptop. Must have for field techs.

If you are unaware this app is for AutoTask subscribers and partners only. Only use this app if you have the full AT subscription. If you are in IT and don't use AT, you should

### 5/5 — Great app

*2013-06-14, version 1.06*

Very useful on the go

### 5/5 — Great updates

*2011-06-13, version 1.04*

Prior to the recent update, it was virtually useless to outside sales. Now with the ability to look up accounts/contacts, it offers everything I need. No more pulling out my pc to find an email address or phone number.

### 4/5 — App stabilized

*2026-01-28, version 9.2.2*

I’m no longer having to delete the app and request for fixing something when dev releases new update. One star reviews for complaining about one off features when the app as a whole finally functions well is very useful is simply not helpful.

### 4/5 — Functional for daily activities

*2024-06-04*

“Useless” is a strong word for an app I use on a daily basis. I have definitely pushed the team to fix the bugs; and they have for the most part. I do find myself deleting the app every six months for trying to resolve the latest glitch. Anyway, i highly recommend this app for people on the go.

### 4/5 — Excellent once activated

*2022-08-01, version 7.0.1*

All the bad reviews on this app are from users that don’t know how this works. If you’re an MSP, and use Datto’s Autotask for ticketing, then you or your Autotask administrator just needs to activate access in the admin/extensions section of Autotask.

Wonderful app that can creat/edit tickets; service calls; calendar use; ticket/company/user search, very robust; nicely integrated work list.

Yes, it can glitch out, lose time (always manually track in case), lose notes, and sometimes doubles up messages, but overall it’s been an integral tool for my on-site field work.

One feature I’m missing is an easy way to copy ticket #s. That would give the full 5* rating.

### 4/5 — Okay in a pinch

*2022-04-18, version 6.0.1*

It works in a pinch, but not very intuitive to add time entries quickly - find myself tethering my laptop and using the web UI more.
