## What is Auxa?

Auxa plans your lifting and cardio from what you've already logged. Open it and today's workout is ready: every set's weight and reps filled in, planned so you finish with 1 rep left. Hit the target, and logging the set takes one tap.

EVERY SESSION, PLANNED
Your weights and reps come from your last session. Earn another rep or more weight and the next session has it filled in, with a short note saying why. Fall short of the rep range and the weight comes down a step. Before you lift, a quick question about which muscles are still sore adjusts the day.

Some changes wait for your go-ahead. If two lifts stall, or the same muscles stay sore two sessions running, Auxa offers a lighter week. If Apple Health shows short sleep or a heart rate well off your usual, it offers an easier day. Say no and your plan stays as it was.

LOGGING THAT GETS OUT OF THE WAY
Big numbers for the set you're on, a minus and plus on each, and one key to log it. Rest starts on its own, full screen, and counts down on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. Too long? Take 30 seconds off in one tap. Siri, Shortcuts and the Action button can start today's session.

LIFTING AND CARDIO, ONE PLAN
Easy, interval and long cardio sessions are scheduled around your lifting, each with a heart rate range, and build up from what you log. Workouts from your Apple Watch arrive as drafts you rate in a few taps. Wear a Garmin? Turn on Apple Health in Garmin Connect and your workouts, heart rate and sleep come through.

SEE YOUR PROGRESS
Save a session and a report shows your records. Progress shows sets per muscle on a body map, an estimated one-rep max for every lift, your goals, your bodyweight with a trend line if you track it, and every session you've logged.

ANY GYM
Save the places you train. Switch gyms and Auxa rebuilds the session from the equipment there, drawing on 557 exercises. A hotel gym takes a few quick questions. The 31 lifts in the main program each have a written guide: setup, the steps, mistakes to avoid and where you should feel it.

POUNDS OR KILOGRAMS
Set any lift to kilograms at any gym, with targets in real plate and dumbbell steps rather than converted pounds. Distances show in miles or kilometers.

APPLE HEALTH, OPTIONAL
Auxa can read workouts, heart rate, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep, bodyweight, waist, VO2 max, walking and running distance, date of birth, and the calories and protein your food app logs. It saves each lift session to Apple Health as a workout. Without Apple Health, you type in cardio and any bodyweight you track.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Free, with no account, subscription, ads or analytics. Your training log lives on your iPhone, and with no server, nobody else sees it, including the developer. Nothing syncs to iCloud, but your iPhone backups include the log, and you can save a copy at any time.

Auxa is not a medical device and does not give medical advice.

## Frequently asked questions about Auxa

### How does Auxa plan my workouts?

Auxa plans your lifting and cardio by analyzing your previous sessions. It automatically fills in weights and reps, aiming for you to finish with one rep left. Adjustments are made based on your performance and muscle soreness.

### Can Auxa adjust my plan based on my sleep or soreness?

Yes, Auxa can integrate with Apple Health to consider factors like short sleep or unusual heart rate. It also asks about muscle soreness before each session to adjust the plan accordingly.

### How does logging a set work in Auxa?

Logging a set is designed to be quick. You'll see large numbers for the current set with plus and minus buttons. One tap logs the set, and the rest timer starts automatically.

### Does Auxa support both lifting and cardio?

Yes, Auxa schedules both lifting and interval/long cardio sessions. Cardio sessions are planned around your lifting and include heart rate targets, building up from your logged data.

### Can I track my progress with Auxa?

### What if I train at different gyms with different equipment?

### Does Auxa have ads?

No, Auxa is free, with no account, subscription, ads, or analytics. Your training log is private and stored only on your iPhone.

### Is Auxa available on Apple Watch?

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 2.2 — 2026-09-29

Auxa now builds your week around you.

• A new setup. Tell Auxa your main goal, how many days you can train and what you enjoy, and your first week is built from your answers. Want to lift and skip cardio? Pick "Just lifting".
• Cardio you actually like. Pick from running, cycling, rowing, swimming, walking, hiking, the stair climber, the elliptical or a jump rope. Your easy, hard and long sessions are built on the ones you choose, with up to five cardio days.
• A new Cardio page on Progress: minutes each week, easy and hard, plus your longest session and best pace for each activity.
• Choose how your week is split: full body on two or three days, upper and lower, or push/pull/legs on five or six days.
• Apple Watch. Log sets from your wrist with the Digital Crown, watch your rest count down, and pick up on your iPhone whenever you like. It's one workout on both.
• Edit a gym from the top of Today. Change what's there, and Auxa shows exactly which workouts would change before anything does.
• Tap any day at the top of Today to see its workout.
• Readiness now reads your heart rate while you sleep, the same number Apple Health shows for your night.
• Finish in two taps. The report opens the moment you finish, and "How did it go?" is one tap.
• Share a workout as an image, from the report or History.
• Coming from another app? Import your history from its CSV export in Settings. You can export yours as CSV too.

Also in this update:
• New lifts find your weight for you: take set 1 to 1 rep left and Auxa sets the rest of the sets from it.
• "First time" on any lift you haven't done, with a guide one tap away.
• Tap any note on a workout card to see why the numbers are what they are.
• An optional reminder on training mornings, and a Home Screen and Lock Screen widget with the days ahead.
• Send feedback from Settings. Every message is read by the person who makes Auxa.

### 2.0 — 2026-09-27

Auxa 2.0 is a redesign built around the set in front of you: cleaner screens, less to read, and one tap to log.

- A new look, light by default, with a new icon. Dark mode is in Settings, under Appearance.
- The workout: the set you're on in big numbers, each with its own minus and plus, and one Log set key. The notes that crowded the top of the screen are gone.
- Rest: after each set the clock opens full screen and hands you back to your next set when it ends. Take 30 seconds off as easily as you add them.
- Today: a rest day says rest, a finished day says done, and suggestions are short, with the details one tap away.
- Body maps show the muscles each day trains and where your sets stand on Progress.
- Every lift's guide now has numbered steps, mistakes to avoid and where you should feel it.
- A set far over or under its rep range offers the next set a step heavier or lighter, in one tap.
- Machines and cables go up and down by the weights your machine actually has, learned from what you log.
- Rate a muscle's pump with one quiet tap under the exercise that finishes it, right after its last set.
- Bodyweight now draws a trend line through your daily weigh-ins, so a day of water or salt doesn't hide the real direction.
- Tapping plus and minus quickly now counts every tap.
- Garmin: turn on Apple Health in Garmin Connect and your workouts, heart rate and sleep reach Auxa.
- The rest timer keeps counting if Auxa is closed during a rest.
- Typing a weight shows Done and arrows above the keyboard.
- Deleting a session, discarding one and starting a deload each ask first.

Also fixed:
- The rest clock could switch to the next exercise's rest partway through a rest.
- On smaller iPhones, stepping a weight up or down no longer closes the stepper.
- Counts like "1 sessions" now read correctly.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-17

Kilograms, if your gym uses them. Tap the info button beside a lift's name during a session, then Weights on this lift. Only that lift changes, and only at that gym. Its targets are set in kilogram steps, not as converted pounds, and nothing you logged is lost.

Also in this update:
- If a machine is taken, or a lift starts to hurt, you can now swap it part way through, not just before your first set. The sets you did stay on the lift you did them on, and the sets you have left move to the new lift, at its own weights. Tap the old lift again to undo it.
- Distances can show in kilometers. Choose it in Settings, under Units.
- You can now choose how you track your bodyweight: in Apple Health, by typing it into Auxa, or not at all. Change it with the Bodyweight row in Settings. Auxa keeps one typed weight a day, on your iPhone, and never saves it to Apple Health. It does use your latest weight to estimate the calories each lift session burns.
- A lift session now carries a bodyweight only if you weighed in that day, so an older Apple Health reading no longer appears on your bodyweight chart as a new weigh-in.
- Protein in grams per kilogram of bodyweight now needs a weight from the last 14 days. Until there is one, Progress shows grams a day and says why.
- Charts on Progress open now. Each one draws your most recent run of readings, and the row under it opens the whole record at 1M, 3M, 6M, 1Y or Max. Months with no weigh-in are drawn as a break in the line, not as a line across them.
- Short tips can explain something the first time you reach it, such as logging a set or resting. To see them, turn on Show tips as you go in Settings, under Tips.

Also fixed:
- Reps left: touch and hold the Left number on a set to pick any value from 0 to 4, so you can log a set that ended with more reps left than planned. Before, holding it did nothing, and letting go lowered it by one. A tap still lowers it by one.
- Progress: after you switched sections, tapping a Six weeks row on Lifts, Why not on Muscles, or VO2max on Body did nothing. Each one opens now.
- The note at the top of a session shows in full. On a first session it was cut off before it said to pick a weight that leaves 1 rep left.
- The dates under a chart could print short, or the newest one could be missing.
