## What is Auzi?

Auzi for iOS is the companion app for your Auzi desktop music library.

Pair your device with Auzi on your desktop, sync selected music, and listen wherever you go. While you play, you can update track ratings and sentiment, then send feedback and playback history back to your desktop library.

Auzi for iOS is designed for people who already manage their music in the Auzi desktop app. It is not a streaming service, music store, or standalone library manager. Your music and listening activity stay tied to your own Auzi library and sync over your local network with devices you choose to pair.

- Each search section now shows a focused set of top matches, so results are quicker to scan.

Improved:

- Search does far less allocation per keystroke while ranking results.
- Post-sync library rebuilds compute sort keys once instead of per comparison, a large win on large libraries.
- Cover art decodes at thumbnail size instead of full resolution, flattening the memory spike during initial sync.
- Album, playlist, and Now Playing hero artwork is cached: skipping tracks no longer re-decodes embedded art.
- Artwork repairs fetch the one record they need instead of scanning the whole library.
- Bundle extraction keeps memory flat while unpacking large sync archives.
- The manifest's per-track payload is released as soon as a sync completes.
- Scrubbing updates only the player pane, keeping the queue list out of every drag frame.

Fixed / Reliability:

- Deletions now run before the download storage check, so space about to be freed counts toward the space required.

- Bookmark albums and keep your selections synchronized with Auzi Desktop.
- Browse albums using the new bookmarked-only filter.

Improved:

- Album and artist grouping now handles capitalization, accents, Unicode variants, and incomplete metadata more consistently.
- Playback now consistently resets shuffle and repeat when starting a new queue.

Fixed / Reliability:

- Fixed exact multiword library searches sometimes ranking reordered-word matches first.
- Prevented databases created by newer app versions from being deleted if opened by an older version.
- Separated search normalization from persistent identity normalization to keep search-friendly matching from altering album and artist identities.

Improved:

- All Tracks playback controls now match the rest of the library.
- All playlists now appear together in one list, sorted by name.
- Refined wording in Sync details for a clearer copy action.

Fixed / Reliability:

- Improved sync reliability when tracks are added, removed, or temporarily excluded from your Desktop sync profile.
- Ratings and listening history for temporarily unavailable tracks are preserved for a later sync.
- Listening-history updates for tracks removed from Desktop no longer retry indefinitely.
- Improved compatibility with both current and older Auzi Desktop versions.
