### 5/5 — Use it all the time!

*2013-11-15*

Great app. Replaced the many tools I used to carry around for testing audio/video quality. I always have my phone so everything I need is always with me. Audio left/right and phase test have been most helpful!

### 4/5 — Great app, but...

*2013-07-05*

I like everything about this app. It is laid out nicely, has a lot of valuable AV tools. The audio features are great. The only problem I had is I could not get it to send video out. I am using an iPhone 4. I tested my cables, projector, and output adapter to VGA via a different app and had no problems. I then open AV Aid and got nothing. Any suggestions?

### 5/5 — Testing...Testing

*2013-06-28*

Awesome audio visual testing app.

### 5/5 — Very cool tool.

*2013-06-20*

I'm mostly interested in the audio side of this app. Between the noise generator and the connectors reference, I can drop 2-3 other apps I've been using in favor of this one.

### 5/5 — Absolutely FANTASTIC & essential AV tool! Every Audiovisual Technician should have this!

*2013-06-20*

This tool has everything from video and audio testing to too projection tools and as an added bonus it even has a cable identification section! A superb app that all people interested in AV should have. And you cant beat the price!

### 1/5 — Stupid

*2016-10-30*

Needed an app that produces pink noise. This app does that but when I minimize this to bring up my analyzer , the app stops the pink noise. How can I analyze what it happening if I don't have pink noise ? ? ?

### 2/5 — Not compatible

*2019-10-18*

The audio tools not compatible with iPhone XR

**Developer response:** Hi Goran, so sorry to hear this. I believe that this was resolved in a recent update, but I will look into it to be sure. Apologies for the excessively late response. Your message somehow slipped my radar, but it sort of makes sense since my wife had our second child around that time.

### 4/5 — Awesome App but one Wish

*2026-01-19*

Awesome app! Would be great if we had the ability to change resolutions on the fly and check 30hz / 60hz.

### 4/5 — Useful, but

*2022-01-01*

This is a useful tool, but I wish there was some way to send a 16:9 signal for setting up projectors.

### 4/5 — Fantastic App, Lacks Device Optimizations

*2019-01-07*

The only reason I removed 1 star is for the lack of UI optimizations for certain devices along with some jarring UI elements but for the sake of practicality some of those jarring instancing can be forgiven. I would love to assist with optimizations/design in anyway I can. 😊👍

**Developer response:** Thanks Benjamin! Sorry I just now realized that I can reply to App Store comments. We just rebuilt the app in Version 3.0.0 and released it using SwiftUI which should scale the UI elements better across different devices. We will continue to work on the UI and feel free to head to hobjoblin.com and message us with any specifics you would like us to address. Thanks for the feedback!

### 4/5 — Useful little app

*2015-07-29, version 2.1.0*

As an AV commissioning engineer, this app is very useful, especially when testing on site. I got a VGA/HDMI adapter for my iPad Air and I am using this app to generate various audio and video signals for testing. I would suggest adding the standard pin-outs for each connector in the app's library and, if possible, an EDID manager function.

### 4/5 — Excellent Prodct

*2014-12-22*

This app is very useful for new or aged av techs. The IR ability alone is worth the download. Cable information can be very helpful for anyone who needs a reference while in the field. Also, the ability to check l/r or in/out of phase signals is perfect for troubleshooting. Great job! All of our techs use this- Carl Lowrance. Lowrance Sound Company.

### 4/5 — Superb!

*2014-08-12, version 2.0.1*

We use this most days for audio proofing. If there's a way to do a 5.1, 6.1 & 7.1 tester, we would be most grateful!
The AV tester is a tad frustrating we can never get it to work when under pressure (or the client is present!!!) carry on inventing Apps please! RECOMMENDED to all Sound Engineers & equiv.

### 4/5 — Useful, could use more...

*2014-04-13*

I'm getting started in the AV Industry and using this app has already been beneficial to me.

My favorite is the cable information. However, I would find it easier and much better if there was a wikipedia link along with the selected cable.

The song, I would rather change.

Not sure if it's at all possible to be able to switch resolutions, but if it is, that would be even better!

Overall, it's a great side tool. Looking forward to more options and tools!

### 4/5 — Great but lacks

*2013-10-29*

Got the app a while ago and love it ... However it has its flaws

In video - great idea if you have the adaptor to test signal even comes with a video to test full hdmi however in use still won't replace a good siginal gen due to the inability to test multiple resolutions but for a quick signal test it works instantly

In audio - the reason I got the app left right center color noise phase test and spectrum sweep work brilliantly my only complaint is the "song" is horrible I would love the ability to use music on my phone or chose another test song

Tools - never really have used them too extensively or had the need for them but in playing around they work good

Cable - love it good library some facts mislead but 99% spot on always good to have a ref card

In all 4/5 great app for the on the go a/v tech

Thank you!

### 5/5 — Coworkers use regularly, I’m concinced

*2022-05-10*

Very useful app for a 5 star environment. Makes it easy to test a set or troubleshooting in front of clients. I will use the app from my home screen so that I can throw up a test pattern with no effort. Very useful. All the audio features and guides are a huge plus as well. No need to do a search for content to test your set.

### 5/5 — Very Useful Tool!

*2021-11-26*

I am an A/V installer and this app is fantastic. On an iPhone, get the HDMI to lightning adapter coupled with this app, and you can do some very useful video tests. The audio is powerful as well. On church installations, I use the pink noise generator to EQ the room. Well worth having this app if you do any of that type work. It is so convenient, sometimes I forget I have it, walking to the truck to get test equipment I don’t need. I already have it!

**Developer response:** Hi VideoRex! So great to hear that it’s working out well for your application. Thanks for the awesome review and let us know if we can do anything to make it even better!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2021-08-17, version 3.1.1*

Everything you need to test a system in 1 App. Perfect!

### 5/5 — Great App - very useful

*2019-02-09, version 2.3.2*

Would like to see a Lip Sync test
Would be nice if the 5.1 and 7.1 looped - app ends after one test
Also like to see more info on HDMI and Display port e.g. bandwidth, max resolutions supported.

### 5/5 — System Commisioner

*2019-02-02*

It is my main video test device. You can verify HDCP compliance via iPhone HDMI adapter. You can verify video audio levels passing threw AV switch to DSP. Awesome app.

### 5/5 — Pretty handy!

*2018-11-25*

Great for testing monitors! Turbo mode is awesome!!

### 5/5 — App includes IR filter love it

*2017-07-18*

We've all had that remote we wondered if it was working. This App allows me to conveniently rule out remotes as the source of my problem using only my phone.

### 5/5 — I use it almost every day.

*2016-11-27*

I work in AV at a college, and when I need to do a quick audio test, phase, or send some images to a projector with hdmi or VGA adapters, this app works perfectly. Also the new resolution detector is great when troubleshooting.
