As a suggestion, a simpler version, with basically just start transcription, stop transcription and “save conversation? Yes/no” buttons, and large text, would fill a huge need for many very elderly people losing their hearing. She is the only deaf person in our family and often misses out on conversations at the dinner table. The other day at a family gathering I used an AI transcriber app for the first time and my grandmother was so excited. She could finally take part in the conversation without turning to her daughter or to me and asking “ what happened? What are they talking about?” I really love that you can connect multiple phones and color code and name different voices. It’s really incredible and I’m just so excited to use this app on Christmas with my grandma. I’m holding back the five star because I think there are some things that could be improved to make the experience even better. For example, it would be great if there were more personalization features like being able to add your own words to the dictionary or being able to train the AI to recognize certain people’s voices. I’m so excited about this app and look forward to future updates and developments! We can no longer function on this app because we are prompted after every use sometimes mid conversation to leave feedback. I choose one star every time because of the errors and the disturbance. Please take this seriously and push a fix as soon as possible. ### 1/5 — Da molto non funziona *2025-10-30, version 2.8.31* Funziona solo audio ma non esce in transizione. ### 1/5 — A Scam, Really tl;dr: Get Live Transcribe *2025-10-15, version 2.8.31* I was subscribed to the Community plan, which was $14.99/mo, when I subscribed, I was under the impression that I'd be tapped into my captions being on the Premium setting— which is less likely to have errors— every time I use them, which is every conversation, every single day of my life. I noticed that my captions were still on basic. so I click Premium and it prompts me to join Ava Community. I'm already part of it, but I click "join". It tells me I'm already a member, and yet, I still have basic captions. then, deep in Settings, I saw that there is a time limit on premium captions (3 hours for the entire month) and i used this time limit within days of my subscription renewing because 1. it doesnt tell you that. and 2. im a hard of hearing person who doesn’t know ASL, like many hard of hearies. Anyways, im writing this in hopes others will read it and get Live Transcribe, an app with the elephant that gives you 4 free hours a month and gives you an option if you want to use those hours or not. I pay for 20 hours a month, and those Premium captions work so well. the Basic ones do, too. ### 1/5 — Trial is misleading *2025-10-06, version 2.8.30* I cancelled my subscription well before the trial period ended, yet I was still billed with no warning. The website clearly shows my account as cancelled, and there's absolutely nothing on the customer side indicating that a bill was due or generated. The only reason I knew I had a bill is because an associate emailed me threatening legal action for the unpaid bill of $200. I emailed back letting them know this is the first I heard of a bill. Support claimed the charge was valid because of when their system "generated" the bill--something users have no visibility into. I found it incredibly unprofessional to email me threatening legal action for a bill that is not visible within their online platform on the consumer side AND they never emailed or mailed to my home address. To make things worse, the same representative had previously messaged me in the app noting that I hadn't been logging in or using the service, which proves the cancellation was timely and they were aware I wasn't using the service. This feels deceptive and intentionally confusing. There's no transparency, no accountability, and no clear way for customers to verify their billing status. I would strongly caution anyone considering this service--cancel early and take screenshots of everything, because the system does not make it easy to protect yourself. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2025-09-26, version 2.8.30* This app is a money grab. Cantonese is only available in the paid premium version and only 3 hours of caption is available per month. What a joke for $20 per month for 3 hours of use! Come on, you should allow unlimited use! ### 1/5 — Not working for Japanese *2025-09-26, version 2.8.30* I downloaded the trial today and changed the language setting to Japanese, but the transcription feature does not work at all, it continues to detect everything as English. I want to cancel my subscription, but it does not appear in my subscription list which is unusual since I only have one Apple account! Please process my cancellation.
