It has a great map and overview of the cities along the cruise and helpful list of excursions. You can’t see which excursions you’ve signed up for or access descriptions of excursions (unless you go to the website). Lacking was weather forecast throughout the trip for every location on the trip, maps and things to do and see on your own and walking instructions to get through airport for arrival and departure. All I get is our departure and end date and a picture of our embarkation port! The tabs for “Excursions” and “My Avalon” takes me to a log in page so I need to log in to see my excursions!! I AM logged in the app! An app is supposed to give you most of the information of an account, not just a very general info! NEEDS IMPROVEMENTS ### 1/5 — Can’t log onto the app *2026-04-03, version 2.6* I cannot log onto the app using my name and reservation number. Neither can some of my fellow travelers. Our tour coordinator doesn’t respond and neither does tech support. How can we be expected to use this app for our trip when no one is responding to get the app to work? I’ve sent over a dozen requests to tech support and several to our tour coordinator and not one responds to resolve the login issue. ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2025-09-21, version 2.5.1* This app is a waste of time. The GPS is inaccurate, the information and dates don’t make sense, and it lacks critical and general information. Don’t bother downloading it. ### 1/5 — Disappointing and frustrating *2025-06-08, version 2.5.1* From time of booking we were of the understanding that we had selected all active excursions . When I uploaded this app I was unable to select excursions so assumed they were all locked in. Only to come on board and find out that we had nothing confirmed and we are going to miss some of the active excursions as they are fully booked. At this point we will be returning to Viking ### 1/5 — Worthless app *2025-06-05, version 2.5.1* We were told to add this app prior to our trip. It did not contain any valuable information or provide any guidance during our trip. ### 1/5 — Didn’t work as well in the past. *2025-05-03, version 2.5.1* It only gave information about where you visited for the first and last day. Didn’t have the maps or city info for any of the other cities. At least they got the menus and schedules up each day. When we asked about it, were told it was an IT issue. ### 1/5 — Totally Worthless! *2025-04-16, version 2.5.1* This app is so hard to use it is worthless! You can never find what you need and if you accidentally find it once, you will never find it again. I am relatively good on apps, but this one is not user friendly at all. It you consider the age group that is on these river cruises, there is no way most of them can use it.
