Decent, but Email Guard misses most scam emails
I recently subscribed to a multi-device Premium Security plan.
After a first week of frustration in which Avast wasn't recognizing my Premium plan on iPhone or iPad, Avast fixed it after a call to customer support that got escalated to Tier 2 support.
The Avast feature I care most about is Scam Guardian using AI. To test the effectiveness of this feature, I connected Email Guard to an old account that receives lots of spam and scam emails. Email Guard has caught a few, but misses most, scam emails.
A telltale sign that an email is fraudulent is that it fails SPF, DKIM, or DMARC. Even after failing one of these obvious authentication protocols, Email Guard and Mail Shield usually can't tell that an email is fraudulent.
If Email Guard and Mail Shield aren't checking the widely-used SPF, DKIM, and DMARC authentication protocols for email, then Call Guard probably isn't checking the USA-mandatory STIR/SHAKEN authentication protocol for phones calls.
Checking SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and STIR/SHAKEN is the easy stuff that any scam-detection software should be doing.
I have a 1-year subscription to Avast Premium Security, but if Scam Guardian doesn't greatly improve its effectiveness then I probably won't renew my subscription.

Steer well clear of absolute scam.
They are lucky to get one star. I purchased avast premium security today and it was the biggest waste of money I have ever known. A simple problem I forgot my Advanced account password. There is no way to reset your password. They send you round and round and round and round and round and round and round in Circles only to end up in exactly the same place where you wanted to report the problem there is no way to get a refund although they tell you that they are the biggest scammers in the antivirus industry absolute scandalous disgusting always asking for money app which you won’t get or you will just get sent round in circles again and again and again I will never ever use this company again. They are absolute thieves steer well clear.

Refund and canceling
I can’t find anyway to email them to cancel I’ve been in a run a round for a hr don’t even think of trying this app
