There was so much to do, true to Avatar the Last Airbender lore and building more on that. It seemed like it was well balanced with multiple objectives and activities to complete. A game that was easy to lose yourself to and you don’t have to pay a thing! Sadly, with the most recent update, there have been ongoing bugs that seem to not be addressed. Events are rolled out that don’t show up until the event is over, therefore challenges remain incomplete or expired. Some even content is inaccessible or (due to bugs) you are not able to select from the event screen. Challenges are put in place that are not attainable as they address parts of the game that are only available at specific times (outside of the challenge window). All in all it seems like the anticipation of so much “new” is degrading the quality of the game available to actually play. If this gets fixed, I’d be more than happy to adjust my review, but as I have reached out to CS and no update or progress has been made or even laid out, it will remain at 2 stars. ### 4/5 — Start having troubles with the app after having it almost a year *2023-10-14* Recently, I’ve been having some problems with the app. One problem is that I have lost all progress. I had characters at level 62 level 20 and below because I didn’t play with them. My designated task that I needed that finished so I was in on the map, I had a character have a big rug X and I couldn’t get rid of it so I decided to log out to maybe fix the air because that’s how I did in the past, now it deleted my whole progress. Every sets me back to the beginning I have used my Apple ID and it’s all the progress is gone now I was a totally my level was with all the XP was level 48. I love this app and the nights, the love of avatar with me, I want to be able to have that progress. I want back that I worked hours and hours on contently so I would love some help from seven tech-support to be able to fix my progress on the app. but overall, my experience throughout the app was very well very good. Thank you for your patience! ### 3/5 — Okay, but wasted potential. *2023-09-13* This game CAN be fun at times, but there’s so much that’s making the game worse. They want you to GRIND just to level up your characters up. Between the items themselves, the amount of items dropping and energy needed to do activities, leveling up is a lengthy process which is only made worse due to the fact that after all that work the reward feels lacking. This seems to be purposeful though to push players to spend money, which the items aren’t worth at all IN MY OPINION. There’s also a lot of bugs that need to be fixed, for example turning on Auto-repeat doesn’t really work, there’s even a game breaking bug where I got stuck traveling with all of my characters and had to completely start over because their support ideas wasn’t working and I didn’t receive any help after trying their basic ideas. Overall it’s just sad to see this property become a cash grab instead of the fun experience fans have been waiting for. **Developer response:** Hello! Thank you for your patience! ### 3/5 — If you don’t have money to spend, forget about it. *2023-09-04* It’s nice to have new content from this world and it’s characters but if you don’t have money to spend to get the characters you want, don’t waste too much of your time. The character drop rate is abysmal, you can spend 50+USD and still not get a featured character, there is a guarantee/forgiveness system in place but even then, it takes 200 summon attempts to get to, and there’s still a chance to get a character you ALREADY HAVE. **Developer response:** Hello! The game rehashed the first couple of episodes in a do-this-then-do-that format with little to no explanation of why and/or how. It was not just frustrating, it was boring. There is an overuse of “scenes” from the show. If you try to skip the “clips”, you skip right over the actual gameplay for that segement as well. So the skip function is pretty much pointless. The Rules or Help files (if any) weren’t evident. I’m sure there’s a fan wiki with information and/or explanations, but I’ve no interest in searching for it. I feel really disappointed in this, especially since some of the voice actors were quite enthusiastic about it. I am a fan of the shows, and rewatch them frequently. It’s not a cash grab and the rates are decent so that you can do great even as a F2P player, but you need to be very patient to deal with the inconsistent character scaling, unexpected errors and poorly tested aspects of the game that results in some characters being unusable. **Developer response:** Hello! I am angry because I have been playing this game for about a month now, and it was fine to play. If I can get back in٫ I might change this to 4 or 5 stars. ### 2/5 — Too many bugs to not be enjoyable *2023-08-07* I’ve recently started playing this game, started last week no less and had been ignoring a good bit of the bugs, but now it’s to a point where I cannot even load into the game at all. When I do try to bypass everything and log in with my account, I keep getting an error stating that I don’t have a connection at all. I can’t even load into the game at all. I’ve restarted my phone, deleted apps that I don’t use, and it’s still an ongoing bug that keeps me from my content in game. The only reason this gets the rating it has now is because I did enjoy the game, but if I can’t get any help on this, then this game deserves NO STARS. ### 4/5 — Overall good *2023-08-06* I like this game overall but there are quite a few bugs that make it feel more like a beta rather than a full game. Mainly the team functions are buggy. I often have to restart the game to get my team to show up correctly. I think the game is good though and will likely stay with it. The turn based fighting style is terrible, the npcs attack you more then you attack them and when you finally get your special move, the battle is already over. You dont get any cool characters, only relics from tickets & like i said in the title if you arent prepared to spend real money then grinding will be boring & tiring! Overall, I play this everyday :) & it’s a fun turn based game & has really cool side stories :) ### 3/5 — Hitting a wall… a pay wall *2023-07-24* Once you get to a point in the adventure mode you are already going against lvl 40-50 enemies and can only hope to level up or ascend your characters to catch up. Took me around 4-5 days to get one character to be able to lvl up to lvl 30 alone. If you want to even play the game or get anything good then you better hope to have some money to spend cause the packs with decent stuff costs around $20 but I mean you could always just drop $100 for 1 five star character and more gems but nothing to lvl them up with. ### 4/5 — Lag *2023-07-19* The game is good in general but there is a lot of lag. The problem is the typical problem you get with “turn based games”, computer goes fist every time & you get less turns than the computer! It’s also already geared around paying to build up your team!! Make it faster to do without paying & you got something!! Update! Still no change to the characters!! On the beginnings of the games story mode basically & you go up against level 50 opponents!! Trying to build your team is like pulling a stick from dried cement! Got one character stuck on level 30 without ascending pieces anywhere!! Have the same character skill level maxed out! To get that character to the next skill mastery, a requirement is 50,000 “strength”! The character is at 35,000 & maxed out as I said on skill!! Can’t get skill higher or even get the components to ascend past 30, how are we to get anywhere? The developers really want lower ratings than 3.4 & they want people to delete the game by not fixing these serious issues!! The developer is picking & choosing who they want to respond to!! Update, got to love how this crap game went from 3.3 rating to 4.6! Many of the fact based reviews have been replaced with fake positive reviews!! ### 3/5 — Avatar pay generations *2023-07-12* This game looked amazing on paper. Its got all the Characters you love, including Characters you never knew. Right out of the gate, the first few missions are fantastic, but if you can’t get your players leveled up you can forget getting anywhere in the story mode or in the arena. And all of the activities will be limited to what level you reach. This game is so heavily focused on pay to play that if you don’t, you can’t really play it and have fun. Skill coins need to be obtainable by normal game play. The game should be rewarding players with kick backs and incentives to keep going. It was also released too early. I thought the journey was going to take Young Aang and his friends from the south pole all the way to the fight against Fire Lord Ozai. Right now the game barely has the characters get to King Bumi. Oh and if your team is not at least all level 60 skills maxed out, Bumi will wipe the ground with your face. He is literally the hardest person in the game to fight. I could not beat him. If you download this game, good luck. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Game ending glitches and no compensation *2023-08-24* Despite the numerous freeze glitching, I've managed to enjoy this game and have already put in over $100 into it. That is until I had a basically game ending glitch where the characters are essentially locked in limbo and I'm unable to progress the story any further. I contacted support and none of what they told me to do worked, ie uninstall, reinstall etc.. When they realized they couldn't help any further, they basically said "oh well, hang in there" and proceeded to gift me 100 nature stones. You know what that's worth? About a dollar. It's good for nothing really, except for 1 summon in a gacha system. This after spending well over $100 on this game and continued to in good faith going this would get resolved. All for them to say "thanks for your patience, here's some trash" and close the chat. They game loaded very slowly and I got into the main game. As soon as I got to the part where I had to travel to the first spot everything froze. I tried to reclick the story option; nope nothing. No buttons were clickable, and no directions on how to move the Catara to the next spot. I reloaded the game three times after that and then just got a black screen with the only thing being clickable is the plain black screen and the gold ring appears and disappears (clicking animation). Had his health touch 1 7 times and get surviving and arena is still broken making me face people power with 450 and also there’s probably hackers in the game becsuse I’ve face two people with power leave 250 and my power lever is 362 and they end of beating me In two moves ### 1/5 — Updating review *2023-06-28* After some changes game is not bad, not as good as OUTERPLANE game that came out. Game went though some changes that made it better awhile back like watching an advertisement and getting 100 gems a day. The way this game is built is extremely poor. You can only get Adventure coins (which you need to unlock the next zone) from redoing maps you’ve already completed and gaining any ascension items is a massive gamble. It’s severely pay to win when 99% of the game is PVE. The drop rates for new characters is ridiculously low so even after you gain 10 tickets you’re mostly pulling relics from character packs. The game has horribly balanced difficulty spikes for the amount of materials you gain. I am incredibly disappointed with how this game is set up for you to basically have to spend money if you want to make small advancements. This game needs some serious rebalancing otherwise you won’t have any players. I found it a little over a month ago and have been playing it every day since. The graphics are GORGEOUS, gameplay is fun and it takes you through the story of Avatar: The Last Airbender with such accuracy that it is a delight for any fan. I adore this game, as I can’t say enough and am absolutely heartbroken that it is going to be shut down. This is the best game I have ever seen that is based off of a TV show. No Avatar fan could ask for better. I can’t see anyone being able to make a ATLA game to match this one in the future. RIP Avatar Generations💔 ### 5/5 — Bug new update Differences Aside *2023-10-19* I have loved this game since it started, however we need more updates to the game for the frequent bugs that appear. Currently there is a bug when trying to play the event boss battles during “Differences Aside”. I cannot battle stages two or three but can access stage 1 battle. I am confused how to get this bug gone with the time limit left of 19 days left on this event. Thank you very much for your patience and support! ### 5/5 — good game BUT *2023-08-22* you make it to difficult to progress in the game without spending money on characters and materials to upgrade. there needs to be changes to progression through the game. and the summon drop rates, horrible. stop being all about making money and just provide a goood game for the fans of avatar. also, a good update would be to be able to click on a material needed to ascend characters and be taken right to that material instead of a general area and have to play 20 times through a certain level to get that particular material. the drop rates of materials is to random which again makes it hard to progress through the game. ### 5/5 — Exited for whats to come *2023-08-14* I started playing this game recently and am really enjoying it. It has nice humor and the graphics are appealing. I like the turn-based genshin rpg style gameplay. I want to say that as a woman who grew up with avatar as a child, it meant a lot to me that the sexism bit from episode one was removed from the introduction to the game. Little girls (and women) shouldn’t have to hear those sort of things.
