Before I could see all my recorders right after app launch, but now I need to drill down to each one (more clicks) to get to the recorder I want. The info says new feature to see all the analytics color coded. Where (and why) do you turn that on? Did a simple search of person filter and played back an event - when the event is over, I can’t go back by tapping either the filter or close options in the upper left and right corner of the screen. I have to exit the app and come back in. AvertX has really good hardware but the software is just not good enough. ### 1/5 — Please improve the App *2024-07-09* I have used this app for many years now and it’s mediocre at best. You made changes about 6 to 9 months ago using the search function and it now takes even longer to get footage loaded and have to go through multiple steps. This app needs major attention to. Also don’t see any way to change resolution settings for the settings panel. What are you waiting for? ### 1/5 — Got rid of the only feature I cared about *2023-04-25* With this new update you can no longer filter by motion type (i.e. vehicle, person, motion, etc) I have to scroll through massive amounts of footage in order to MAYBE find what I’m looking for. This is genuinely a concern for me and if it is not restored I’m returning my entire system and switching to something more user friendly. They put so much thought and effort into the new timeline scroll but took away the one and only feature that really mattered when it came to reviewing footage with ease. ### 1/5 — Fix the broken event function *2023-03-16* Can no longer search on person detection. Been over a month since last update broke person detection. Go back to the older app… NOW… and fix the new app. ### 2/5 — New Update 👎🏼 *2023-03-10* New update no longer lets you filter recordings by motion type (person, vehicle, etc.) so I now have to scroll through dozens if not hundreds of clips before I can find clips with people instead of 50 clips of a bush being blown by the wind for hours. It also seems like the app is a lot more sluggish since new update. With the last update I’m no longer able to access via iPhone but it still works on AppleTV. Come on, mobile is the most important and it’s broken. I’m super tired of testing their junk and it’s time for a Costco return. At least Costco had the sense to drop these guys. I installed a UniFi Protect system in my second home and it is unbelievable! 100% reliability, 4K cameras, AI features, smart home integration, etc. Don’t waste your money on AvertX. ### 1/5 — Horrible *2026-02-08, version 3.2.1* It takes forever for my cameras to load when I need to view live or recorded footage. The app lacks many features that Ring and other brands offer. Update 09-2026 The system just doesn’t feel stable. I bought from Costco hoping they did their due diligence - but now Costco does not sell them anymore (wonder why?). The app/system is slow to connect to remotely, searching for events is cumbersome and glitchy (random freezes, hard to find events I am looking for, unpolished UI, etc.), and things like no images with push notifications on iPhone (just a picture that says loading). Also saw they dropped support for the Apple TV app (one reason I bought - so I could view on my TV). Support is very hard to get a hold of (long wait times via chat and phone). Overall not worth the price or headache. Now none of them are working on the app. Can still access them from a pc. ### 1/5 — Avoid! *2025-03-26* AvertX “bricked” an entire $1,100+ home security surveillance system that I purchased from Costco and spent countless hours installing. After a few year of spotty use (their app regularly crashed and was unreliable) AvertX decided to brick the system by making remote monitoring through their app obsolete. After several e-mails and calls to their support center the only option was to spend close to another $1k for an updated AvertX motherboard.
