It will only work with wifi connection. In order to view the cameras on IE , you have to use the 192.168.xx.xxx address . This makes AvertX a very difficult system to use, until they find a work around ### 1/5 — Does not work as expected *2014-10-12* I tried this app on my new iPhone 6 and older iPad mini, and the video shows at 1-2 frames per second. Is like watching still pictures. Can’t really be used for remote monitoring as claimed and expected. Works great on husbands droid. Doesn’t work on my iPhone at all. No way would I upgrade my home security with this system. What’s the point if I can’t see anything from my phone. ### 1/5 — Crashes a lot/ future update suggestions *2018-11-22, version 1.5.12* In single camera view it would crash within 1/2 second to 3 minutes. iPhone X has many bugs vs the iPhone 5 when it was still current. Make a new AvertX app for iPhone X users only and keep the old version for iPhone 7 and below. iPhone X has different hardware that can be better utilized vs the old stuff have good hardware that could be utilized to a different extent. Very satisfying Been struggling with this app for couple of years. Crashes constantly, freezes during playback, very frustrating. Tried the andriod app and it's faster by quite a bit. Clearer image quality too. Maybe apple charges them a lot of money to update apps and the apple side doesn't get the new stuff. Was very happy with the remote access, now very frustrated. ### 2/5 — Uses battery quickly *2016-01-05* I am using this app on an iPhone 5S with iOS 9. It works most of the time to connect to my NVR at home and view the camera feeds. Setup was easy. Reviewing past alerts and finding specific videos works, but needs user interface improvements. A small problem is that the display does not preserve the aspect ratio of the original image from the camera. A huge problem is that the app uses a battery power extremely quickly, as in 1-2% every minute. It continues to use up the battery even when I have turned off the screen, so it's not propertly suspending in the background.
