## What is Aviation Weather?

Most weather apps show you a METAR. This one takes a position on it — and shows its work.

Enter a route and Aviation Weather returns GOOD TO GO, CAUTION or NOT RECOMMENDED from four explicit rules, then prints all four: the ones that fired, the ones that came back clear, and the ones it had no data to judge on. A verdict you cannot check is a guess with a colour on it.

WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT
• An auditable verdict, not a black box. Every briefing lists all four rules with the source that triggered each one (TAF, METAR, wind, NOTAM).
• Provenance on every number. Each reading carries its source and its age — Fresh, Aging, Stale or Offline — on every screen, without exception. You always know whether you are looking at a four-minute observation or a ninety-minute cached one.
• Crosswind against YOUR limit. Runway winds are computed per runway and compared to the demonstrated crosswind you entered for your own aircraft. The app never invents a limit.
• Tap any token in a raw METAR or TAF for a plain-English explanation. When a token has no confirmed glossary entry, the app says so instead of guessing.

FREE, WITHOUT ASTERISKS
Unlimited airports. Every METAR and TAF. Threshold alerts. The full offline cache. Three complete route briefings a month, audit trail included. No ads, no account, no trial, no third-party analytics.

PRO LIFTS THE CEILINGS
Unlimited route briefings and PDF exports, unlimited armed alert stations, 90-day trend history, and iCloud sync across iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.

ON YOUR WRIST AND HOME SCREEN
Apple Watch app and complications, six widget families, Live Activity for a briefed route, and Siri/Shortcuts ("What's the METAR at Kennedy in Aviation Weather").

DATA
Weather from the NOAA Aviation Weather Center, cited in the app with the time it was fetched. Decision support only — it does not replace your legal obligation to self-brief before flight (14 CFR §91.103 / ICAO Annex 3).
