While these are observations pertaining to the app, I must say the quality of cars and drivers used is top class. 1. It’s not interactive as apps available nowadays. 2. There is no provision of adding membership number of partner / affiliates (like Vistara) when booking through the app. 3. The email interface is flawed. I have frequently received emails of previous completes bookings with a current booking. 4. It keeps asking me to update the version on my iPhone despite the app showing latest version in the App Store. ### 4/5 — Poor Customer Service Support *2020-12-03, version 4.0.5* The Customer service support is poor. They never pick the call. The app also does not have auto bot reply or chat option. In case of any change in the Booking takes hell lot of time. This is very serious concern which need to be handled. If one needs an invoice, one needs to call and request. This involves wait times at two levels; 1) a minute to a few minutes while calling and then 2) couple of days to get an invoice. Their operating model is also very customer friendly. However the services rendered through this application are very backdated and basic. Pre-Booking processes: To know if the documents are verified one - Call Customer Care. To be sure that there are no rejections and that the car will be delivered - Call Customer Care. Post-Completion of Trip: In case you want to deliver the car before the scheduled time - Call Customer Service (or keep note of the local Avis team). There is no update on money refund process. There is no confirmation of the post-pickup technical checks. So, the money refund process is not transparent to the customer. May lead to arguments/issues. My family enjoyed the ride. My refund also got processed in 2 weeks time. Some feedback: There should be an option with tell support to change the return date or time. While booking I booked 11am instead of 11pm as return time. When I called your support, they were unable to help. They suggested me to cancel the booking and rebook. While doing so good amount of money gets blocked. App sign up does not allow date of birth to be populated, as a guest for airport drop the pop up keeps asking for flight details but no way to add details. It used to be seamless. I regret choosing AVIS! *2019-01-13, version 3.0.7* Worst experience! I regret choosing AVIS! The front grill of the car was broken before I started my trip but the chauffeur refused to believe it. I had asked my friend to record the video of the car as there were already few scratches and dents while i was completing the paperwork that is required to be done before the chauffeur hands over the car. The broken grill can be clearly seen in the video along with me completing the paperwork. In spite of sharing the video to both chauffeur and the company, they are reluctant to believe this and deducted money from the security deposit I had paid. It has been more the 72 hours since I have asked for clarification on mail but haven’t received it, Whereas, the auto-generated email received as the acknowledge receipt of my mails says their team will revert within 4 hours. Why commit such things when you can’t deliver? Their so called 24X7 customer care number is also useless as the calls go unanswered most of the time and it gets automatically disconnected after 4-5 minutes of waiting. The customer care executive do not even callback after assuring one! Seems like they are discovering new ways to loot the customers and their casualty against emails prove this. This type of customer service and casual approach is certainly not expected from AVIS! And without your knowledge you your booking gets upgraded with some xyz cars (this is worst) when you book for hatchback and get an SUV(fuel efficiency). These ppl has to refund me my cancelled booking amount which was made in the month of feb but the status is still pending :/. If you really wanna use self drive then go for these Myles(deposits), revv(no deposit),drivezy(deposit).
