AW Reader is the iPad application for the popular ArticleWorks secure document delivery system. AW Reader will allow users to view any documents downloaded their iPad from ArticleWorks affiliated publishers. The AW Reader app displays a list of available documents. If the document is already loaded on the IPad, the user can view it immediately. If the document has not yet been downloaded, the user clicks the “Download” button, and the document is downloaded to the IPad. The user may then click the “View” button to open the document. That stated, the updated welcome document crashes the app 100% of the time. It takes as much as 3 seconds to load the cover art of the books I am reading. Further, the app consumes a noticeable amount of battery life while reading (much more than a PDF book, iBooks, or kindle app). Since I have no option, due to the DRM on the books, it would be nice to see an update to fix these issues. Despite every effort to delete the article on the Mac, it won't load at all on the iPad ("all licenses used").
