In one device wont even register the alarm. For a few months everything was working fine, we could arm and unarm the alarm with ease from the app. But now the app just says "timeout" and we can't do anything. Only one persons phone works at the moment and we cannot reconnect any of our other phones. And when trying to get help on the issue, your app support link HAS NOTHING! There's not even a page for support on the app. Seriously guys get your act together and maybe get a working link. Is it that hard for a security company that works in tech to have a working link! Very unsatisfied, if you are not good at handling unreliable tech than I do not recommend an alarm system from Chuango. 😡😡😡 ### 1/5 — A step backwards *2016-11-04, version 1.3* Since installing this update the IP116 cameras constantly ask for a new passcode to be entered. Each time it says Operation Failed. Except if the default 888888 code is entered when it then says that it must be combination of 6 numbers and/or letters only. The cameras are now inaccessible. It appears to have worked on an iPhone 5 with iOS 10, but not on an iPhone SE, iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus (all with iOS 10). Do not update to this release if you have IP116 cameras attached to your AW1 alarm. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — No envía notificaciones *2023-11-04, version 1.15* En caso de Alarma no envía notificaciones, de que sirve una alarma así? ### 1/5 — Don’t Waste Your Time And Money *2023-05-29, version 1.15* When I first purchased the MiGuard WiFi Alarm system everything seemed to work fine, but a few months later and all notifications have stopped. This has made the whole point of a WiFi alarm pointless. I contacted Era and they said “we no longer support that system”, I wouldn’t mind but I only bought the system about 18 months ago. I’ve purchased a few MiGuard/Era alarm systems in the past, for both home and work. They will now be relegated to the bin and I will never buy from that company again, and I would advise anybody else to steer well clear and invest your hard earned cash in a decent alarm manufacturer, one who provides a decent level of support. ### 1/5 — Notifications have now stopped *2023-05-04, version 1.15* Waste of time if you get burgled when away That’s why I bought it! The ease with which he has done this contributed to a home invasion during the night this week. Recently the app has become worse. Cannot set timed arm/disarm w/out app crash. Had endless issues with the PIR beam / line sensor. Basically doesn’t work. And again and again the hacker finds my space on the server within less than 24hrs when I reconfigure the whole thing! Abysmal, I wish I’d never purchased this. I needed a secure WiFi alarm. Or preferably seeing as I’m being targeted by a group which includes a competent hacker, a wired alarm. ### 1/5 — Notifications aren’t working *2021-05-05, version 1.15* When I accidentally set my alarm off, I don’t receive a notification on my phone. My partner doesn’t receive one either. I have to say once I got the entire system paired, set up (which took about 2hrs) & tested it all works perfectly! Notification fire straight through to both our phones almost instantly. So simple to use and check from anywhere. We couldn't be happier. The only thing j would say is the app could do with a face recognition update ### 5/5 — Great app *2016-10-19, version 1.2* The AW1 alarm and app are excellent, providing a good level of control and flexibility for the alarm. Configuration of the alarm settings and sensors is done through the app. I had a minor issue with push notifications after upgrading to iOS 10, which was fixed within 2 days of notifying the Developer through the built-in feedback option. ### 4/5 — Review Update *2021-03-31, version 1.15* Had this alarm for over a year. All working fine. Then updated ISP to Sky Broadband. The app just kept displaying “Time out”, and I couldn’t switch the WiFi network. So, I slated this app. However, re-reading the instructions, I noted that the alarm must be connected to 2.4ghz. Sky comes with both 2.4ghz and 5ghz, which are synchronised by default. I read up on how to split out and rename the 2.4ghz, then joined that WiFi. Bingo, all working fine again! So, apologies if my original “one star” review loaded up. ### 4/5 — Missing essential feature!! *2017-08-05, version 1.4* Great alarm! App notifications work perfect and is easy to set up and configure. BUT...... We were initially looking at the G5 alarm which has the single point of entry delay, ideal for a door contact sensor to give you time to disarm the alarm when entering. However when choosing an entry delay with the AW1, it is applied to all sensors and you are unable to choose a specific sensor. Not ideal when you want the alarm to be triggered instantly! Surely it is just a simple app update to be able to choose which sensors have an entry delay in the accessories menu??!! ### 2/5 — Nice Clean Interface But Has Bugs *2020-05-10, version 1.15* Nice Clean Interface... the WIFI connection side is full of bugs and can be a nightmare to pair. Once paired adding the sensors is quite straight forward. Adding another user is another nightmare.
