### 4/5 — Beautiful but buggy

Beautiful but buggy

### 4/5 — Is it a monthly payment?

*2022-01-08, version 2.5.6*

Hello I’m wondering if I should pay because I want to have multiple routines…. Is it a monthly payment? Or it’s 5.49 just one time?

Thank you for your answer

### 4/5 — I LOVE IT ! Just needs to be on my ipad pleaaase

*2021-12-02, version 2.5.6*

It’s all I want in my todolist timer app. But it would go sooo faster if it could be on my ipad !!!!

### 4/5 — it’s a good app

*2021-07-17, version 2.5.5*

yeah it’s nice! just one problem
u have to get premium to create multiple routines, and i’m only 12 + have a strict mom who definitely won’t pay for it so i got my morning routine done(which yay and wow that was easy to do) but i thought i could maybe sorta have a night routine as well. it’s alright though cuz there’s not much to do at night lol

### 4/5 — So close to what I want it to be

*2021-02-20, version 2.5.4*

This is almost exactly what I was looking for... the routine suggestions are nice, the aesthetics are good. But I wish it had an alarm clock to wake me up based on the recommended time to accomplish my morning routine. If it’s intended to help me to overcome my bad habit of not waking up in time for my morning routine, it shouldn’t depend on me to start it (I’m the problem, after all!). It should do the waking for me and automatically start the timer. Hope this feature comes with an update...

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2020-05-04, version 2.5.3*

This app is absolutely fantastic. I waited a while to write my review just so I could what this was all about. I’ve been using this since the middle of my school year and it helped me to be more focused and on time in the morning. Now I’m doing online schooling because of quarantine. But I still like to have a general morning routine. This app has been so helpful! Can’t wait to see what new updates are in store. :)

### 5/5 — This app has changed my life!

*2020-05-04, version 2.5.3*

I have ADHD and have been desperately trying to figure out how to get my day started during this lockdown, because I kept ending up just wasting my mornings trying to decide what to do, and ending up doing nothing.

I’ve tried sooo many things, but this app makes it so easy. Love that you can just choose the premade actions, they coveted offer 90% of my ideal routine, and then just put in custom actions for the rest.

Very cool that it’s made by an indie developer, I think maybe a teenager! There is some parts of the app that feel unfinished because of this, and as a product designer myself I would love to see an updated version with a more polished design, but the actual function is lovely!

### 5/5 — Thank you

*2020-03-20, version 2.5.2*

Thank you for making Awakee Premium free during this stressful time for the world. You are making a difference and helping people through your own ways and talents. God bless you.

### 4/5 — Great app! 1 issue though...

*2020-03-09, version 2.5.1*

This app is great, and I just started my 6th grade son using it as well. It definitely helps keep those of us that daydream in the mornings on track. Lol! My only issue is with the notifications.

Today I noticed while I’m doing my routine I kept getting alerts that’s it’s time to start a new task in my banner notifications. When I open the app the timer said I still had about 30 min remaining.

This morning I added another 5 min to my workout routine and I think it started acting weird after that. Please check that out when you can. Otherwise, great app and looks beautiful!!

### 5/5 — Loving this app!

*2020-02-17, version 2.5.1*

I’ve been using this app twice a day for a few weeks now and I love it! The colors are really nice, I love how it tells me when I’ll be done with my routine, and it makes me realize how many things I can get done in a short amount of time! It definitely keeps me on track and motivates me to keep up with my daily routines. Can’t wait to see what the future updates come out with!

### 5/5 — I. LOVE. THIS. APP.

*2020-01-24, version 2.4.3*

I’ve had this baby for a few months now and I gotta say it changed my life for the better. My days used to feel overwhelming because I felt like I had a lot to do, but in reality, there’s not a lot of stuff! This app helped me SO MUCH by not only helping me find a routine, but my THOUGHTS were more organized and my day went so much smoother. Thank you so much Jacob for this amazing app.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2020-01-23, version 2.4.3*

Love this app,
I am NOT a morning person,
This helps a lot.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Suddenly Crashes Every Time I Use It

*2022-02-23, version 2.5.6*

been a big fan of this app for a while; now it crashes whenever I try to edit my routines.

### 1/5 — Very glitchy

*2021-01-01, version 2.5.4*

I love the idea of this app and have been looking for something similar for a while. I have used Fabulous before but didn’t like that the time doesn’t run in the background. Love this app’s aesthetic and functions. Only thing is it is EXTREMELY glitchy. More often than not things will just not work when you click on them, forcing me to restart the app multiple times. (For example, changing times on habits, changing order of habits, etc). Routines did not appear after creating them. You also have to change things so many times for it to actually apply your changes. Took me HOURS to get my routine set up because of this, when it should have taken 5 minutes.

### 1/5 — Stopped working once I paid

*2019-11-17, version 2.2.1*

I paid to have the ability to create additional routines. Instead, the app is simply crashing now every time I try to do anything. Two dollars wasted.

### 2/5 — Great idea, extremely clunky to use

*2020-06-16, version 2.5.3*

This app has a great premise, but its incredibly difficult to set up and use. Switching between routines is seemingly impossible. I often click through the same series of prompts until I get the desired result. Its not helpful because just trying to use it is so time consuming.

### 2/5 — Good concept but unintuitive

*2020-03-16, version 2.5.1*

Tried for ages but cannot figure out how to rename a routine, or change the alarm or leaving times.

It keeps telling me “your routine ends after you leave, set your alarm earlier” but doesn’t allow me to change the alarm time, which is infuriating.

### 2/5 — Can’t create custom routines

*2020-02-17, version 2.5.1*

I know that there is a custom habits option, but it still doesn’t let me add new parts to my routine. It also won’t let me change the time when each thing should take place. I started a new routine called “Morning” and it placed a tab in the routine called morning and wouldn’t let me put any other tabs. I’m a little disappointed but I think the app could be better if it was a little more straightforward with the process. :)

### 2/5 — Bugs lots of them

*2020-02-15, version 2.5*

I really enjoyed this app until experiencing a lot of bugs, sometimes I’ll try to have it switch routines but it doesn’t and now after this last update I cannot change the times on the tasks without it shutting down the whole app. I’m afraid this latest update made it worthless, hope it can get fixed, great idea.

### 2/5 — I’m Confused

*2019-11-19, version 2.2.1*

Once I clicked on create routine and selected what I wanted, there was no way to get beyond that. No next button or anything like that.

### 3/5 — Need a way to pause the timer and track tasks

*2020-04-18, version 2.5.2*

FEEDBACK: Great app. I like the way you can input your own goals for morning, afternoon and evening routines. And I like that you can adjust the time for each activity in your routine. But I have 2 major suggestions:

1) Add a PAUSE button on the timer, so the user can pause if there are interruptions or if a person wants a break between each of several items in your established routine.

2) Add a way to track whether I did EACH of the activities in my morning tracker, not just whether I did the entire routine or not.

Without this, I’m more likely to seek out and use a different app. Here’s an example.

Let’s say I input 5 tasks for my morning routine: like stretch, meditate, healthy breakfast, walk, and study - for 30 mins each. Here’s what happens when I open my morning routine each day: it starts a stopwatch that runs nonstop through the designated morning tasks. It feels like a race which creates unneeded hurriedness and allows no flexibility. There’s no way to pause the timer for example to finish one task and pause before I go on to the next one. Or to take a phone call. And no way to track if I did SOME of the morning tasks or just some. The only way I can stop the timer is to close the app, and then there’s no record of what I have already done. And the only way I can track progress is to say I completed ALL of the morning routine (or none). This severely limits the usefulness of the app.

### 3/5 — Just downloaded

*2020-03-29, version 2.5.2*

Just downloaded the app and am hopeful it can be helpful with setting a daily routine, once I figure out how to set everything up. I can’t figure out how to adjust the starting routine alarm... ?

### 5/5 — Lifechanging. Wish new version was more similar :(

*2026-03-25, version 2.5.6*

This app changed my life for a few years, but after the new version came out and this version stopped being supported I have been a bit at a loss to find a replacement. Was truly my favourite app and would be happy to pay sub cost of the new one for a working version of this one!

### 5/5 — Great app!!

*2022-12-12, version 2.5.6*

I love love love this app. It so helpful so I can keep my life together in the mornings and I don’t forget what to do and keeps everything straight for me! I love that I can add times of how long the action I’m doing will take, most apps I have to subscribe to a monthly subscription to even have more that one task but for this was it was free! I love love love! Download it!

### 5/5 — Nice app

*2022-03-31, version 2.5.6*

I just downloaded this app to give it a try. It’s exactly what I’m looking for. One really thing that I found inconvenient is that once the set time for an event ends, the app automatically jumps to the next event, without the ability to go back. Sometimes I would spend longer than I would on one particular thing (and don’t necessarily remember/have the chance to hit “+1 min” or “+5 min”.) Then when I come back, the routine has been so ahead that I sometimes have to exit the entire routine to start over. It would be really nice if we have the option of going back to the previous event, or an option to not automatically jump to the next event (maybe show a countdown of negative time instead.)

### 5/5 — GET IT

*2021-11-16, version 2.5.6*

This app has completely changed my morning routine. It’s fantastic motivation to get all the things I don’t want to do in the morning done - my exercise, tidying, cleaning and much more are all done by 7am without even having to think about it. Plus I get to put aside time to do the things I love in between!

### 5/5 — Keeps my adolescent brain on task

*2021-10-12, version 2.5.6*

This app is really helpful to get me up in the morning. I start school relatively early for me, and it’s hard for me to focus when I’m still pretty tired. This app has helped me be more efficient and independent, which is great because my mom is busy getting the rest of the house up and out the door in the morning. I loved the addition of the custom habits, because I do a lot of unique things you might not expect in a morning routine to get me functioning. The time-limited thing for your habits gets my competitive mind thinking that it’s a race, making me more motivated to get my things done faster. I have anxiety, and struggle with prioritizing and when one of my parents tries to keep me on task I get more anxious, because I get worried I’ll make them upset. This app completely removes that morning anxiety, because I won’t disappoint an app on my phone! Thank you so much, this has been so helpful for me! I just wish my mom would let me buy apps so I can have the full version to help me even more. I’m only in 7th grade so… yeah. But this app is amazing just as it is!

### 5/5 — Great app!!!!!!

*2021-02-17, version 2.5.4*

Cant believe a high school created this app it’s sleek and efficient! I’ve been wanting a small scale habit and morning routine tracker for awhile that doesn’t break the bank. I wish in the future there would be a web or Android version, as I love to support projects that are cross platform (and thus reliable). 5/5

### 5/5 — Useful as a free app, even better paid

*2021-01-26, version 2.5.4*

I used the free version of this app for a few months and it totally changed the flow of my mornings. Having a streamlined timer for each element of my routine that allows for the flexibility of adding more time or skipping ahead early has made it so much easier to motivate myself to actually do everything I aim to without getting sidetracked. Between the way it improved my morning routine and the fact that upgrading only requires a one time payment, instead of monthly subscriptions, I figured I had nothing to lose by paying for more routines. The result: my evenings have a routine for the first time ever. I definitely recommend giving the app a try if you have trouble committing to routines or find yourself getting distracted/waylaid easily.

### 5/5 — EXACTLY what I needed!

*2020-09-29, version 2.5.4*

I never write app reviews. Like ever. But I love this app that much.

As someone who gets easily sidetracked, I enjoy the fact that there isn’t a pause button and this app KEEPS me on track. If I want to “pause” I can just add more time to the task I’m doing. But this app is PERFECT and I really didn’t have a need for more routines to add, but I paid for the app anyway because I want to support this app and the people behind it because it needs to NEVER LEAVE!

Suggestions/updates I would love to see:
1. Apple Watch compatible (I think I saw this was maybe in the works already?) - just so you can see your timer and get an alert when the next task starts.
2. A banner on your notifications/Lock Screen (like where a regular timer pops up when you set it on your phone) that tells you what task you’re on and how much time is left for that task, so you don’t have to keep your phone open to see. I know notifications already pop up when tasks change, but I’ve found the timer is really what helps me.
3. I would LOVE to see a widget for this that I can put on my Home Screen that will allow me to swipe between routines I want to start and then just click “start routine”
4. I would also like to see what time my next task will start (maybe in parentheses next to it?) this is really insignificant because I could probably just do the math of how much time is left on the timer and go from there but it would be nice to have at a glance.
5. I noticed a lot of people seem to struggle with switching routines, and I seem to get caught up on it from time to time as well, maybe the ability to just “swipe” between routines, like pages?

Thank you for being such an amazing app and keeping me on track!

### 5/5 — i’m a bit confused

*2020-08-05, version 2.5.4*

i really love this app and the setup but i’m a bit confused, i don’t know if i am not doing it right or what. like can i switch the order or the tasks or do i have to retype everything in a different order?

### 5/5 — Purchased Accidentally

*2020-07-11, version 2.5.4*

Well, I downloaded this app and was smi satisfied with it’s design and concept.

I had already came across “Routine provider” apps like this one… however, I like Awakee much better!

You have three different tools to organise your day: Routines, Habits list and also a very general To do list for the day, which is fantastic since Awakee isn’t a “Task Manager!” You have to note down some bold and obvious things for the day and I think that’s grate!

Although, I wanted to explore the app more before buying it, I tried to make another routine and for some reasons it opened the purchase order, straight away! And well, I had my finger on my home button, and just like that, the order was confirmed!

I was shocked at first, but then… it was funny I’m not mad cause Awakee seems like to have a really bright future…

I myself am a high school student as well, And I know how terribly hard it is to handle both school projects and your owns like Awakee for Jacob or my freaking scenarios waiting to be edited or updated-__-

At least, you manage to actually get your Awakee working smoothly and useful for people! That’s something that deserves support!

I would never regret that accident and well, I recommend you at least try Awakee for a few days… you probably gonna stick around just like me!

Tnx and all the bests,
Sara.
