### 2/5 — It’s come a long way

*2025-04-05, version 1.5.0*

The developer has made huge strides in making this app reliable. I use it every morning for my 3-hour a.m. routine. It used to crash at least once every morning. It no longer does—I can’t remember the last time it crashed.
It’s a great app for setting and keeping mornings routines.
My one complaint is that during the routine, when I get a notification pop up on my phone, the timer stops if I interact with the notification at all (for example, marking a reminders task as complete). I can easily resume the timer countdown by clicking on pause/play twice. But sometimes I don’t notice the timer has stopped.
That’s the only remaining issue I have with this app. It’s honestly one of the most useful apps on my phone. Highly recommend.

### 3/5 — Glitch otherwise amazing

*2024-01-30, version 1.4*

I pay for premium but unable to use the personalized routines that are for premium users.

### 1/5 — Funktioniert nicht!

*2023-07-16, version 1.3.3*

Leider komme ich über das Auswahlverfahren nicht hinaus. Es lässt sich weder scrollen noch bestätigen oder so. App Voraussetzungen alle vorhanden; App bereits gelöscht und neu runtergeladen. Hilft nicht! Schade ☹️

### 3/5 — Bug fixes needed

*2023-06-11, version 1.3.3*

Whilst l love this app, it has some bugs that need fixing. I actually prefer the old app because there are not as many bugs.

### 1/5 — Timer stops if app not open

*2023-05-24, version 1.3.3*

The timer stops if you don’t Lethe app open…not a great feature if you want to use your phone for other things. I wish I would have known this before all the hassle of creating routines. Not worth it.

### 3/5 — Can I get the old app back

*2023-03-05, version 1.3.2*

It’s just easier to use all your routines are in the same place less cluttered with information that makes it a lot more difficult to use. I would pay this new price for that app tbh but this app is way too cluttered to make it worth it for me.

### 1/5 — Good Idea. Needs Work.

*2022-11-03, version 1.2.6*

I really wanted to like it. It's exactly what I need: routines with sub habits. However, adding the time is difficult and also adding a goal for the routine will send you to a page that you can't get out of. I tried it twice and both times the only way out was to restart my computer. Sorry, but I just can't work with that.

### 2/5 — Great concept, horrible conception

*2022-10-25, version 1.2.5*

I started out with the original version of this app (same name, different icon, less features). That version has a few bugs but is far superior despite them. Since updating to this newer, fully-loaded version, my morning routine and peace has been ruined by incessant and unscheduled notifications (imagine brushing your teeth 15 minutes ago and getting a notification to brush your teeth anyways) and ringing "task completed" sounds that go off 4-to-6 times instead of the once. I've tried silencing my phone, and still the DING, DING, DING, DING persists -- usually before my task timer is even up. I thought using the Apple Watch version would help, but it can't find the routines I created on my phone. Downloading this app and purchasing the annual subscription is the worst mistake I've made in months. I'll be deleting it after I post this review and pleading with the heavens for a refund on my purchase.

### 3/5 — my lifeline but so buggy

*2022-05-17, version 1.1.6*

i have adhd and cannot do my mornings and nights without this app! that’s why it’s so frustrating that it constantly crashes, ends the running routine when i exit the app for a sec, deletes my routines if i delete and redownload…

### 1/5 — Bug

*2022-05-15*

The times don’t update properly anymore. Could you please fix. For example, something lasts an two hours, it makes it out like the next task won’t start for another 4 hours. Or one task starts at 5:30am, next one also starts at 5:30am

**Developer response:** Hi,
I hope you're doing great, thank you so much for the feedback! This should be fixed now!
There's been a lot of changes since you posted your review. It'd be great if you could check it out and tell us what you think!

Have a great day!

### 1/5 — Terrible and REALLY wanted to like it

*2022-04-26, version 1.1.4*

This app was incredibly INCREDIBLY difficult to use. I created a routine, added Habits, etc., but it never saved? I spent about 15 minutes trying to use it and gave up. I work in software as a product manager, so I feel that I can usually figure out software quickly. This one, not so much. I'm not going to spend more than 15 minutes trying to just create a habit, so I'm out.

### 3/5 — Okay, has some bugs

*2022-03-15, version 1.1.1*

Glitchy- has just quit a few times and the days I set my routine for won’t stay saved, but other than that it’s good

### 1/5 — Lacking in so many functions

*2022-02-01, version 1.0.4*

This app is filled with bugs. Yet, the creator normally charges $40 for a yearly for a premium subscription—it just happened to be that there is a 50% discount at this time. What is most appalling about this app is that it lacks SO many features, and yet, the creator still has the audacity put a hefty sticker price on its premium service. For one thing, this app lacks syncing of any kind—I tried to get my routines from my phone onto my iPad and Apple Watch for at least an hour. But atlas no avail. So, I would literally have to copy all of plans from one device to another if I want to you this on multiple devices. In terms of this app’s function on the Apple Watch, it’s just a black screen—there are currently no inputs I could apply to my watch, that could make it at least somewhat useful. Furthermore, there are no Apple calendar, nor Google Calendar, integration options in this app. And despite this app’s claim to help with one’s organization skills, you have no options to sort the routines you create into many subsets according to the different faucets of your life. It’s just there time-sorted by default. Lastly, there are no workable iPad-tailored version of this app, the one on the public AppStore is an adapted iPhone version of Awakee. On the iPad beta version, it crashes upon attempting to go through any habits you designed.
All in all, I suggest having more humility when pricing this app. Other organization-apps have so much more options and also cost much less than a normal $40 a year subscription. “Structured,” for example, have data sync among Apple devices, calendar integration, and as the app’s name suggest, a structured framework to help users built consistent habits, similar to Awakee. But better yet, Structured offers a one-time flat fee of 5 dollars for its premium, and its creator also give the opportunity to get that waived if you cannot afford it. Thus, I simply suggest fixing all the bugs on Awakee and implementing more features before slapping on a $40 a year premium subscription to Awakee.

### 1/5 — Used to love the old app

*2026-03-27, version 1.5.0*

Really want to love this one, but it has a lot of bloated additional features and flashy UI while core functionality is now glitchy and harder to use than the original.

Timers & notifications continue appearing on my phone and watch well after I’ve ended a routine. I get a bunch of notifications telling me about a routine that’s scheduled tomorrow, but then none at the time I’m actually doing the routine! Can only add routines to the calendar by setting a schedule, rather than just adding a routine to the day you want to do it.

Was excited to see there was an Apple watch app, but it doesn’t work at all - no notifications during routines, doesn’t sync with phone app, timer randomly stops all the time. Would be more useful if it even just showed live activities from the phone app, but it doesn’t do that.

Love some of the tweaks and improvements to core functionality of routine management, like reordering mid-routine, switching between end time and task duration, and the functionality of adding minutes or skipping back and forwards. Wish the new version had just focused on these kinds of improvements.

Would love the option to turn off or not show the habits, streaks or calendar tabs. This app’s point of difference to me was that it was the best one for preplanning then running through a routine with timers and reminders. By trying to do everything else it invites comparison and sadly does all of those other things worse than other apps.

I simply want to see my list of routines, pick the one I want to do (at the time I want to do it), and then work through the routine. I want a notification to sound when each activity transitions to the next, and to be able to choose a setting so that the alarm plays even if another app is open or the screen is locked or my wrist is down or the phone is on silent.

Free trial doesn’t seem to work so I can’t try anything beyond one or two routines on this version. But even so I’m not sure what more there is to see that might convince me. I’m really trying to give this version a fair go kbut I think I have to give up. I would so happily pay for the original app if it was being maintained but it now just glitches out all the time.

### 1/5 — Subscription doesn’t work, buggy, maybe abandoned

*2025-11-28, version 1.5.0*

Looks like it would be an awesome app but I got the subscription and it doesn’t work. Seems to be a bug. Now I’m losing out on the free trial.

Also it’s showing events for calendars that it shouldn’t.

It having a watch app was one of the reasons I got Awakee but it doesn’t work which would be a requirement for me to replace my current app. It opens up but then it says there are no habits or routines when there are.

I reached out to the developer through two different emails about the subscription issue and there’s been no response.

EDIT: The developer did finally respond but communication is still terribly slow and while it looks like maybe the subscription problem may be fixed now, they have yet to fully resolve my issue.

### 1/5 — Untrustworthy

*2025-11-23, version 1.5.0*

I paid for the premium version of this app for a year. Just a few months later they have blocked premium benefits and are trying to charge me again. Sad, I really like the app. I reached out through the app, never heard back.

### 1/5 — Pushy

*2025-03-19, version 1.5.0*

This app tries to make you subscribe so many times that it’s not even functional during the free trial. It just feels forceful. If you’re trying to manage your routines and time better, don’t waste your time on this app.

### 1/5 — Why does everything have to be a habit

*2024-11-22, version 1.4.3*

I find this app useful for planning my days whether it be for work or travelling (to make sure I leave the house on time). But hate how everything has to be a “habit”. Why can’t it just be steps to a routine. I miss the days when the app wasn’t so habit focused.

### 1/5 — This sucks, actually

*2024-09-16, version 1.2.7*

I have to fight this app to so much as add an habit. And once I do, it refuses to either save it or let me leave the page to continue. Don't waste your time, find some other app.

### 1/5 — Expected better

*2024-08-25, version 1.2.7*

Doesn't really help with ADHD - just basically a timer to track supposed focus time. Kept crashing when I tried to add a habit. Too hard to put in scheduled activities and use the timer to support getting it done. Not using it.

### 1/5 — So glitchy and buggy!

*2024-03-06, version 1.4.2*

I’m doing a free trial, & would be so mad if I paid for this! The app wouldn’t let me add habits to a routine, then let me add the habits but wouldn’t let me save the routine. App crashed, & when I reopened all of the routines I tried to save all appeared. I tried like 20 times. Then while trying to delete them, the app keeps freezing, or it lets me go through the actions of “deleting” but won’t actually delete the routine. Disappointing because this is exactly what I was looking for, but will be deleting

### 1/5 — Trash

*2024-02-25, version 1.4.1*

In this app you can only have 4 tasks until you have to pay like bruh

### 5/5 — Buggy but a lot of potential

*2024-09-19, version 1.4.3*

I really want to like this app, it has a lot of potential, but I think k the dev needs to put a bit more work into making it a little less buggy and making the UI a little more simple

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2024-01-09, version 1.4*

I’ve been looking for an app like this for a few months, but sadly all of them cost money- So I was happy so happy to find this!

From my experience, this app includes, workouts, morning/evening routines, diets etc, but I’m still not finished exploring this app yet.

                                               Thank you!

### 5/5 — Absolutely amazing!

*2023-12-15, version 1.4*

You can tell that a lot of love, care, and attention went into creation of this app! Absolutely amazing!

**Developer response:** Hi, thank you so much for the feedback! We're working hard on making the app as intuitive and reliable as possible. We'll look into the issues you have experienced! If the routine freezes try taping the pause button, it might restart it and you won't have to close the app.
The Apple Watch app unfortunately as of now does not work for a small group of users, but it should be fixed soon. I'm sorry for the issues, and I hope it'll all be working great for you soon!

Have a great day,
Jacob Ruranski

### 5/5 — Yes.

*2022-07-26, version 1.2.1*

100% recommend. I use it daily and let me just say…. This app slays. The developer did a fantastic job at creating the app!

### 5/5 — good ideas but glitchy

*2022-04-13, version 1.1.4*

if it wasnt soo buggy, it would be the best app I need !!

### 5/5 — Great app and customer service!

*2021-08-23, version 1.0.2*

I previously wrote that I was bummed about purchasing the upgrade of the original app and was worried it would stop working with the new app... Jacob reached out and let me know that I can still have the upgrade in the new version. He really cares about his app and that people have a good experience on it. I really enjoy using it for my routines, as it keeps me on track. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Fabulous app and helpful developer

*2021-08-02, version 1.0.1*

The original app was a great tool to help my time management in the mornings but the new layout is even better. Premium allows me to plan alternative schedules and then pick the one that fits the day (matching my energy levels or chores I need to squeeze in)
The developer was also very helpful when I had a problem with my subscription.
Highly recommend

### 5/5 — Absolutely love this app!

*2021-08-02, version 1.0.1*

This has become my favourite app in the App Store. There is nothing as having your schedule organized by the minute as it really helps save time for other things later. Thank you for your amazing work.

### 4/5 — Great potential but..

*2024-08-24, version 1.4.3*

Tons of bugs! Where do I begin...but great potential otherwise.
