It just updated and now it’s terrible. It doesn’t work trying to play music now. Only the backup app alarm sounds work. Before the update I could dim the clock to barely on note it auto dims and barely comes off of bright even when the phone screen is dimmed all the way down. I want the old version back. ### 3/5 — App Stopped Working *2019-10-11, version 1.14* Yesterday my app stopped working, I can no longer access the alarm or any settings listed at the bottom, what happened? ### 2/5 — Unreliable *2016-10-07, version 1.10.2* At first it worked great. But now...it's pretty unreliable. I push the button to on and then save only to go back and check and it's back to off (when setting my alarm). I've had it go off while my phone was on vibrate. I've had it not do anything while I've purposely waited for it to go off. For me, this app is perfect to give me a nighttime digital clock on my Home Screen, for when I wake up and night - I don’t want a bright light in my face, but I often have to get up, and then find my way back to bed - I only need a small amount of light, and the Lock Screen clock won’t suffice because it doesn’t stay on……it shuts off after a few seconds if you don’t swipe to unlock (or use touch ID). I really liked being able to wake up to my own music and to have the music fade in over time. At that time, the app was very reliable. As time progressed and new updates were released, the app has become unreliable. I have arrived late to work and missed several other events because of this app. I would change the alarm time and save it. I would check the alarm several times to make sure the change was saved, which appeared to be. I would then fall asleep thinking the app would wake me up at the new time. Much to my dismay, I would wake up late. After checking the alarm, I would see that the change to the alarm wasn't saved. I have been unable to find any rhyme or reason as to why changes are saved sometimes and not others. At this point, I have reached my limit on frustration and will be looking for a new app. ### 3/5 — Please update to support new OS!!!! *2014-09-20, version 1.10.2* Awesome app until you update your OS! Now even after uninstalling and reinstalling the app I can't even open the App., please release a new version soon! :-( ### 2/5 — Glocke lautet aber keine Musik! *2014-08-21* früher funktionierte die App. Jetzt aber, auch wenn man den Wecker auf Musik spielen einstellt, solange man die App geschlossen hat, lautet nur die Uhrglocke und die Musik spielt nicht. Das ist echt schlecht, denn ich habe diese App dafür GEKAUFT, damit ich meine Musik beim Aufstehen höre. Thank-you for reporting it. ### 1/5 — Not Reliable *2014-05-01, version 1.10.2* This is a nice looking app with some bells and whistles. Unfortunately, it fails too often at the one thing it's supposed to do; it is not always a reliable alarm clock. They seem to put out updates without testing the main function of the app, and then issue "critical alarm clock bug fixes" every once in a while. Of course, this is after you woke up late a few times. Годы идут а ничего полезного не добавляется. Уже штатный будильник удобнее, а разработчик до сих пор не сделал синхронизации. С песочницей так и не подружился. На маке вобще испортилась. Battery eat monster 👹 app! ### 1/5 — Does not work on iOS 12 *2019-03-14* Don’t buy this app! It seems, that the developer is no longer working on it. On my iPhone 7 Plus under iOS 12 the clock does not work. Neither smooth awaking with fade in nor any other function will work. Only a standard bell is ringing at the time, you will wake up. I have to delete this now. I've been using it for years; I sleep so soundly I need additional alarms to wake up. Awaken was my go-to for several years, but now, on iOS 10, it doesn't even function anymore. You can't enable alarms, and half the UI is broken. It used to be great, but it's time to move on. EVERY single day. Пять долгих лет, Карл! Всё это время я не удалял приложение и пользовался им на старом 4s айфоне с 6 iOS. И вот, наконец, обновили — теперь можно пользоваться на новых айфонах. Молодцы, красавчики! Hab das Programm jetzt gründlich ausprobiert und kann nur sagen: Das war's was ich suchte! Ein Programm mit Sleeptimer und Wecker mit eigener Musik aus der Library. Funktioniert einwandfrei - mit und ohne ans Dock angeschlossen zu sein. Natürlich muß das Programm aufgerufen und konfiguriert sein, ist klar. Wecker funktioniert auch, nachdem der Sleeptimer geendet und sich das Autolock eingeschaltet und den Schirm verdunkelt hat. Weiß wirklich nicht, was manche der Vorredner hier am Programm auszusetzen haben. Ich kann es jedenfalls aus ganzem Herzen empfehlen - es ist sein Geld durchaus wert! **Developer response:** Thank you for the great review! ### 5/5 — Zuverlässige Wecker-App & cooler Look *2012-01-06* Habe schon seit Jahren Awaken auf diversen Macs benutzt und wurde immer zuverlässig geweckt, was nicht alle Wecker-Applikationen wirklich gewährleisten können. Aufgrund dieser guten Erfahrungen habe ich die Awaken App für's iPad gekauft und wurde auch diesmal nicht enttäuscht: es ist eine zuverlässige Wecker-App, die m.E. auch von der Optik her überzeugt (subjektiv, ich weiss). Wichtigstes Feature ist natürlich die zuverlässige primäre Weckfunktion. Auch wichtig: die App saugt einem nicht den Akku leer, während sie auf ihren Einsatz wartet. Man sollte bei der Anwendung berücksichtigen, dass Awaken im Vordergrund aktiv sein muss, damit man von der vorher ausgewählten Musik geweckt wird. Dann kann man das iPad schließen und sich darauf freuen, morgens von guter Musik sanft aus dem Schlaf geholt zu werden. Ist Awaken nur im Hintergrund aktiv, wird man nur von einem (ebenfalls wählbaren) Alarmton geweckt … erst wenn die App im Vordergrund ist, wird dann die Musik gespielt.
