It’s not exactly some mainstream thing to predict the Oscars, but it’s the kinda thing where you figure “oh, there’s gotta be an app for that”. But there wasn’t. At least, not until Award Expert came along. Outstanding functionality and not a single new feature hasn’t improved the app significantly. Pretty incredible accomplishment for a one man show.

Easily the best place to predict Awards (of all kinds). You are able to start predicting as soon as the previous season is over, and the interface is fantastically designed and incredibly intuitive. The community feature also is great to see other people’s thoughts. I also love how you can look back in time to see what you or the community were predicting at any given point.

Love this app so much, I really enjoy keeping track of all the awards buzz and the new, upcoming films. It not only works as a great way to keep track of any predictions you might have, but also a good watchlist! I love the stats and community features too!

As far as awards predicting services go, this is one of the best - not only does it allow you to predict awards season all year round, but it also lets you catalogue your favourites of every year way back to the beginning of the Oscars (and before!), what award categories you think they would be most worthy of, and what films you’re looking forward to. Since it seems to be pulling from TMDb like Letterboxd it’s a really easy to use service, and if something you’ve loved in the year is missing something in the awards categories, say, an original song, you can just add it! Even if awards season isn’t your thing, you can just use it as a way to specify what you love about your favourite films.
