So far every time I’ve used the app I’ve had to chase my order I’ve waited over 20 mins every time. Won’t bother using the app in future. ### 2/5 — Mrwrizz *2026-05-24* So I’ve stopped here with a group of people Im friends with it’s a nice environment and a nice community & place but don’t get me started on the waits took at least 30 mins for one ice cream and a long time for 2 milkshakes even when the place was empty and just 3 of us it still took ages. Nice walk to beach and it’s very clean good park but not all building have Wi-Fi overall a nice place but the wait is unacceptable. I also found out that the person making the food was also washing up?? It’s outrageous also the windows in the houses and hard to open and doors it’s also very creaky but that’s okay. Sorry for the spell mistakes ### 3/5 — Weekend away *2026-03-08, version 4.2.1* Lovely rock star lodge, hot tub amazing, only downside s no paths to walk on to main area, some off staff are rude in eating places, but it is an amazing place. ### 3/5 — Happy break away *2025-04-21* I booked up to spend my 60th birthday with my 3 daughters and 4 grandchildren. it was Easter Sunday so we came prepared with lots of treats for the children. I would say that the executive lodge 4 bedroom leaves a lot to be desired they are very grubby the living room furniture is stained and incredibly low and the dining table chairs are dirty and rickety! The veranda is very unsafe in places. I’m disabled and walk with walking sticks and I struggle on uneven ground surfaces and very low furniture and our veranda was uneven and was a trip hazard please look at the area outside the patio doors? Despite requesting additional bedding be left for the sofa bed we found a quilt but no additional sheets or quilt cover was left to make up the sofa when my additional guest arrived Sunday morning! The site map for Sandy Balks tells you very little about location of activities or where to can get fish and chips when you ask members of staff they don’t know either. We ate a meal in Audrey’s which was very nice but the service was slow and this was not because they were busy this was Friday lunchtime at 12PM so they had just opened the staff seemed to be more interested in drinking drinks than taking orders or asking if we required any assistance. The team running the Easter events on Sunday were super full of fun and the children had a fantastic time. The grandchildren throughly enjoyed the Alpaca walking before we left today. The young chap who was our guide was super cheerful and very knowledgeable. My view is that the lodge needs to be looked at and a deep clean of all soft furnishings would be great and I would suggest that you maybe look at new living room furniture as even a young 30 year old said they felt the sofa was too low. Also the tv is small and why is there an old tv unit in the living room it serves no purpose at all and takes up wasted space! An arm chair would be a better use of space as two sofas is not enough room for 8-10 adults. We did have an enjoyable time but I think that was mostly to do with us being away together to celebrate my 60th birthday. Thank you. ### 1/5 — Cant log on, Tattershall say use laptop! *2022-05-11, version 3.1.4* I have tried several times to log on but without success. It just says about 8 weeks out and to call the number. Please email support@intelligentmobile.com with a few more details, including the device you’re using, so we can take a closer look. ### 1/5 — Beware - double letting is possible. *2026-04-14* Unable to visit due to an unplanned surgery , we contacted Alive who advised no refund was possible even in the case they relet the property , effectively being paid double for the accommodation. This policy is greedy and does need to be called out. We are unlikely to book with Alive again. Haven have a completely different policy. ### 1/5 — Laughable *2025-09-08, version 4.0.4* Away Resorts app when there’s no WiFi?! Tried to report fault with caravan and I couldn’t. ### 1/5 — Can’t book anything *2025-08-25, version 4.0.4* We are coming away this Thursday and have had such a hard time trying to book things through this app! Which now means my little ones will miss out on the activities I wanted them to do. ### 1/5 — Hard work *2025-08-03, version 4.0.3* Difficult to navigate and browse activities. Can’t add multiples to baskets. Very slow. Not user friendly. ### 1/5 — Unloved *2025-07-12* A lovely location which should have a high rating. Unfortunately, our exclusive lake side lodge had a wet room floor that clearly hadn’t been cleaned in ages. Old dirt was the grouting. The furniture was so uncomfortable we had to buy reclining garden chairs from ASDA along with a clothes dryer rack. Garden furniture had no cushions and no parasol. The decking to the front door was decayed in many places and uneven with missing railings and over grown shrubs. I could add more. Staff are very welcoming and helpful entertainment is great loverly clean quite site. We stayed in a luxury caravan this time it was comfortable with reclining seats en-suite and dish washer. The staff are really friendly and can’t do enough for you. The park is clean and kept well.
