Now it’s reading all my irons about 10-20% short after most recent update. It connects to any other app just fine, I don’t know if it’s just a bug for now but if so. Please get it fixed, this app is definitely amazing though. Again guys, great job…. ### 5/5 — Can’t review practice data….. well now you can, continues to improve *2025-12-10* It’s now December 2025 and Awesome golf continues to improve and is great with my Garmin R10 both at the range and in my garage. 2024, If you read below in May 2022 I complained that it was lacking the ability to store and review practice data….well now that the update includes this feature it is an awesome product (see what I did there)… 2022, I’m sorry, but until this app allows you to view data from previous practice sessions it is all but useless. One the most critical features of an app like this is the ability to review multiple practice session data to track progress over time, years…. ### 5/5 — Perfect name! *2025-12-10* We use the awesome golf simulator app with out garmin R10 approach and so far it has absolutely lived up to its name! We paid for the lifetime membership (well worth it) the graphics are good, but the best part is the information displayed after every hit even playing courses. And when in coaching mode the information is out of this world! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I am on my 4th now and even though I have the option to play other software this is always my goto. I only wish it has a random green and yardage generator on the range. ### 2/5 — Terrible Graphics *2025-09-27* I’ve used Awesome Golf for two years. The Graphics are so bad it’s almost funny. When you look at other apps, and their graphics, it’s is bottom tier. They also have very few courses and it gets tiring playing the same courses over, and over, and over…. However, it works and has average settings. I do love the range settings so there is the 2nd star. I guess you get what you pay for. This is an honest review after years of using this app. It would be so easy to update their graphics. Why don’t they? I guess below average is good enough for this application ### 5/5 — Awesome Sim for Garmin R10 *2025-09-26* Bought this to pair with my Garmin Approach R10, and it is much better app than Garmin Golf in my opinion (both from UI and data perspective). Love all features: range, games, virtual golf. Seems to track everything from wedges to driver pretty well with the right setup; I should note mine is outdoor with ~10’ tee to net and 8’ tee to device. Captures my prominent miss (pull or duck hook) pretty accurately. Very impressed, and love that they keep dropping regular updates with new courses / improvement. I got the lifetime membership which has more than paid for itself. They continue to update.e the software with new courses and the graphics are pretty good for the price point. I really like the Approach Shots and club distances sections. They have really helped me when out on the course. I highly recommend this software. ### 5/5 — Easy to Use for casual or serious Sim sessions *2025-08-01* I’m using Awesome Golf Sim with a Flightscope Mevo+, setup and connection to the radar are very reliable. I use it with an iPad and an M1 MacBook Pro (you don’t have to buy separate versions). It’s up an running very quickly, has a range of useful practice modules (ranges, target practice), and some fun/goofy games that work well for casual golf with kids or for parties. The courses are not hyper realistic, but they offer interesting layouts and a really broad range of tee locations so you can have varying skill levels play together easily. I have been doing month-to-month to try it out, but I really appreciate they offer a one-time payment lifetime license — I have enough subscriptions. Definitely try it out. ### 5/5 — Great Time!! *2025-05-31* Been using awesome golf for over a year with a Mevo+. While true the graphics are not what some of the other programs are, they work great. They stand out in a well lit room. I have 3 other software options all with better graphics but this is the one I always use. The information is easy to understand, the program moves along at a quickish pace and at the end of the day to me it’s the most fun. Yeah sure I play a round here and there on another program but just about every time I go out to the simulator room I end up switching back to Awesome Golf. Plus it’s convenient with just running right off an iPhone 15 and casting to the projector. Now the app doesnt pickup ball spin on the garmin R10 launch monitor. Makes the app worthless, as every shot goes dead straight. Figure it out guys. Cancelled my subscription because of this. So far these first 8 months I have had to email support every month due to this app saying I dont have a Subscription. I’ll use it one day it works, the next it says I need a sub. No amount of restarting, restoring, or updating fixes this issue. I then email George at Awesome Golf. He emails a few days later saying he fixed it then it works that next time I use it. Then I go back two days later and I’m stuck writing him another email to fix it. Beyond terrible at this point. All other softwares connect with my BLP no Problem. GSPRO, E6, FSX Pro connect flawless. I’m tired of emailing George and honestly, he is probably tired of hearing from me about his broken product. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2024-01-19* This app stopped working after I was charged the second month of my subscription. I emailed support and got 1 response. Support (George) did not help me and has since ghosted me. Try another app. ### 1/5 — Run don’t walk away *2023-12-05* The app is decent but key aspects are frustrating. First you must have internet access for the app to work. This presented a problem using it with my Garmin R10, iPad and a BenQ projector wirelessly. The iPad does not have cellular so no WiFi assist and it’s WiFi is tied to the projector so no internet access. I had to hard wire the iPad to the projector which I was trying to avoid but that got it all working. You can’t do anything in the app unless it’s connected to a launch monitor and the subscription portion is horrible. I paid $299 for their lifetime access and the app has locked me out saying my trial has ended and there’s nothing in the app that enables subscription help. The support page on their website takes you nowhere with no information and the developer doesn’t respond to emails. I use a lot of apps for sports, fitness and health and this is by far the worst and most frustrating. It’s really unfortunate because the app, for its intended purpose is decent but probably not worth $300. ### 1/5 — No offline mode *2023-10-30, version 2.5.0* I had a power outage and thought I might hit some balls… but this game requires internet? Ridiculous for an app that is supposed to be used on an iPad out and about. I played E6 instead, which has an offline mode ### 1/5 — Expensive Toy *2023-10-17, version 2.5.0* There is no way to retrieve the shot data after the simulation. For a paid app, this is a major issue. I asked the customer service and they claim the shot data can be stored and retrieved later. Followed the instruction, which requires additional app (Awesome Golf Assistant) and additonal device to scan the QR code generated by AWS. After going through a complicated process, the connection is lost immediately. The customer service stopped responding after I provided the details. Conclusion: This expensive app is useless after the simulation session. Other apps (e.g. Garmin Golf and FS Golf) have a review session in the app which allows post simulation shot data analysis. I appreciate that they add new golf courses from time to time. The software has plenty to over advanced golfers as well as those just looking to have some fun. Fantastic Features including all relevant data in range mode, very nice mini-games and wonderful courses … and the variety of courses is getting bigger and bigger, great. I use it with Garmin R10 and iPad and it runs without any issues. So, my main two use-cases are playing virtual rounds more during the winter and using it for training all the time. My swing speed has increased by 10 mph with the help of this app! I love playing against the leaderboards and the Bot player options in stroke play individually and in a group on scramble. Awesome Golf keeps the app interesting. Awesome and challenging courses and tee box choices!
