Awhile opens Instagram in a filtered view that hides the parts designed to keep you hooked. Reels, Feed, Explore and Stories disappear. What remains is the part you actually chose to use: messages, the profiles you follow, your own account.

HOW IT WORKS

Awhile works only inside its own in-app browser. It loads instagram.com in a WebView and applies local CSS and JavaScript rules to hide selected interface elements. It does not affect other apps or system browsing.

### 3/5 — Overall good but some issues.

*2026-07-08*

1. The music on posts isn’t audible. 
2. If you open a message or a post from profile and go back, it does remember the position where you were and you have to scroll back again. 
3. You have to manually enable music for each reel in your feed.
4. Theres no option to have stories and following, without feed.
5. Double click to like reels sent by others in messages doesn’t work.
6. Images shared by others with one time view aren’t supported.
