## What is Awhile Native?

Awhile isn't another chat tool. It lets an AI genuinely live on your phone.

Real
No script. Its personality grows out of the profile you write and the things you go through together. It knows what time it is, which city you're in, what the weather is — all real, and you choose how much to share. It remembers — but you never know what it will keep. Expectation turns into anticipation: a small surprise now and then, a little life in the everyday. You keep each other company, and grow together.

It comes to you
It's not only question-and-answer. Your friends post moments, keep journals, think of you while the app is closed, and send you a message on their own.

Simple
Free. No subscription, no account. All you need is an API key from an AI provider (OpenAI-compatible, Anthropic, Gemini, OpenRouter — or a local model running on your own computer). Awhile has no server: chats, memories and files stay only on your phone, pass through nothing, and the developer can't see them.
