Worst!!! *2021-07-01, version 5.3* I got a loan with them of 1000 and they want me to pay 6000 back to them!!! I repeat if you’re looking for a loan there is better loans out there. I’ve gone with other loaners and I’m in my last past with them. And with AWL I’m not even halfway there. Scammers!! Worst 2021 option I went with. Would give it a no star ### 1/5 — Not happy *2021-05-13, version 5.3* This app is completely horrible. won’t let make a payment , but loves to automatically take the money out of YOUR account. And I really don’t like the fact that YOU can’t remove the card on file and you have to speak to someone like THEIR your parent. ### 1/5 — Scam *2021-02-17, version 5.3* It’s awful, there is a daily fee and you will pay so much more money than what you owe. Even if you make a payment the amount you owe won’t go down. ### 1/5 — Horrible *2021-02-04, version 5.3* I get calls and pay but it doesn’t reflect on the app. Then when I go to pay off the balance it won’t let me. Intentionally set up to prevent you from paying off early so they can collect more interest. Even when I call and do a payment they don’t put it through because they want to collect the interest. Don’t use these people. ### 1/5 — Wish I could give 0 Stars! *2020-12-19, version 5.1* The Mobile App won’t even open and the “Access App” repeatedly says “you must read the warning, check the box and click ‘accept’ before you can proceed” Seems easy enough. 🤷🏻‍♀️ It would be! If there was a box to check!!! I scrolled through that stupid privacy warning 10+ times with a fine-toothed comb and NEVER found a box to check! And since I didn’t check said box, clicking “Accept” was never an option provided to me, NOR was moving past this disclosure into ANY other parts of the app. Unless there are some MAJOR flaws addressed in BOTH apps they are simply useless! ### 1/5 — Can’t even launch app *2020-12-11, version 5.1* Tried deleting it and re-downloading the app and it won’t launch. Even turned my phone off a few times still won’t launch. 0 out of 10. ### 1/5 — Honestly trash *2020-12-11, version 5.1* The app has been down for like 2 months, it’s so annoying and frustrating. ### 1/5 — Will not even open *2020-12-09, version 5.1* I have downloaded this app onto my phone 3 times now. Each time I try to open the app it takes me right back to my home screen. I know it is not a device issue because nothing else is glitching. I'm not angry or anything, I'm simply frustrated. Having to go to the web site each time is time-consuming. If this can be fixed that would be extremely beneficial. ### 1/5 — Horrible *2020-12-06, version 5.1* This loan “service” is a complete scam. I took out a $500 loan, and now I can barley pay rent every month because this company takes money out of my checking account every time I get paid, regardless of my funds. It will overdraw your account if you do not have enough. Now I can’t even buy groceries, because I am getting charged an un fair amount of money for a very small loan. Thanks a lot. I will continue to spread awareness of this business so that no one every has to go through this. Shame on you all. ### 1/5 — SCAM OF A COMPANY *2020-12-04, version 5.1* DO NOT. I REPEAT, DO NOT take a loan from this company, they blatantly withhold information until AFTER you take the loan They have a 5 dollar interest rate per day and this information is NOT accessible until after you get the money. So no matter how much money you pay you’ll ultimately pay 3 times what you borrowed and if you don’t pay they add fees daily making the loan impossible to pay back without paying it in full. BIGGEST MISTAKE OF 2020 WAS DOING BUSINESS WITH AWL. THEY ARE A SHAM OF A COMPANY AND SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. ### 1/5 — Okay app not working *2020-11-26, version 5.1* Good for convenience of a payday loan, but predatory for people needing quick help. Not only predatory but the app isn’t working at all it closes as soon as you open it. Also they are operating illegally in my state so use with caution ### 1/5 — Cannot open app *2020-11-13, version 5.1* Til this day I still cannot open the app ... I click on it and it just seems like I never clicked on it. I’ve updated all my apps, my software and everything and this is the only apps that is not working. I’ve downloaded this app about 2 months ago ... ### 1/5 — Crashes immediately *2020-11-11, version 5.1* Doesn’t even open. ### 1/5 — Huge scam and app doesn’t open *2020-11-04, version 5.1* I took out a $1,100 loan and they want me to pay back $5,800+ throughout 6 months. It’s a huge scam they’re running, the app also doesn’t even open anymore and they NEVER pick up the phone. They also sold my phone number to scammers, ever since I got the loan I been getting none stop text messages and phone calls from all kinds of random companies, I’ve never had this kind of problem before. **Developer response:** We apologize for the inconvenience you’ve experienced on our app. We’re listening and make continuous adjustments to improve your experience. Also, please call us at 1-877-860-7171 so we can try to help. ### 1/5 — App does not open *2020-10-26, version 5.1* I am unable to get into the app. When I press on it it blinks out and returns me to my home page screen. Can someone please take a look at this and try to resolve? ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — DON’T DO IT *2023-10-04* This was quite literally the worst financial mistake I have ever made in my life. The amount for the loan I received was quite small, just something to get me out of a pinch. I thought that I would be able to quickly pay it back. I thought wrong. The interest for the loan was over FIVE HUNDRED PERCENT, and the loan documents are VERY vague. Meaning, my small loan quickly turned into a multi-thousand dollar, year-long commitment. The payments WILL come out of your account automatically, even if your balance is lower than the payment amount. Meaning, your account will be overdrawn. Additionally, the payments are not monthly, but instead biweekly. I was paying these people hundreds of dollars each month. So, that ‘small loan’ I took out in an attempt to pull me out of a hard place ended up putting me in a horrible spot financially. The moral of the story is: no matter what you’re going through, this is NOT the right choice. Yes, you receive the deposit almost immediately, but that short-term happiness will not last long. ### 1/5 — Very, very,very high interest rates *2023-03-01, version 5.3* I got loan for 1200$ by time I would have gotten done paying $400 a month for over 2 years, I would have paid them over $5000, I paid it all back in less than a week. And still had to pay an extra $150 , DO NOT GET A LOAN FROM THIS APP OR COMPANY, they are Legal Loan Sharks. ### 1/5 — HORRIFIC. $500 loan pay back $1,975 *2022-10-28, version 5.3* Horrible. I was not shown that it would cost me this much to get a small loan. I am mortified that I fell for this. I wish I would have read the previous review first before doing this. ### 1/5 — DO NOT USE THIS APP FOR A LOAN!!!! USE SOMETHING ELSE!!! *2022-08-12, version 5.3* I was completely unaware of the terms that they HIDE. They don’t care about the people the care that they get a bigger lump of money then you wanted. So if you got a $1,000, you are pay back $3,500. How does that make since? I will never come back to this I learn my lesson. PLEASE LISTEN AND BE BETTER. I don’t want what happened to me happen to others. ### 1/5 — Don’t go to AWL-extremely over charge you *2022-06-29, version 5.3* They take more than 2X than what you barrow. This is the most extreme over charge out there. There are many more companies out there that charge fairly. You will regret it if you take their money. It is not worth it, this will put a whole in your pockets for a long time. They charge over 500%. I want to give zero stars ### 1/5 — Turn back now *2022-06-27, version 5.3* If you are reading this think again before downloading and applying for a small loan thru awl, they lie about the interest rate you will receive they are based out of an Indian reservation which allows them to charge rediculously illegal interest rates otherwise in the United States a 400$ load ended up costing me 1600$ just don’t do it it is not worth it. ### 1/5 — Dog water *2022-01-17, version 5.3* The rates are absolutely unacceptable and their ethics are terrible. You will NOT know what they want you to pay until after you are accepted. $2000 for a $500. If you really need it, go to CashNetUSA; they are actually reasonable and their team have care in mind as well as at least some decency. ### 1/5 — Don’t get a loan from here also app is trash *2022-01-01, version 5.3* Like everyone else who utilized AWL I was a victim of false advertising for a small loan. They don’t upfront reveal how much their interest rate actually is until after your loan is approved. They present it as one thing and then once you thoroughly read your contrat you realize you’re now responsible for something completely different than what you signed up for. I’ve pulled out loans in the past much larger than my AWL loan and didn’t come close to the 600% interest rate. If I knew that I would’ve never utilized them. Please spread awareness and either put it on a credit card with no interest for the first year or when utilizing a loan company look for that daily/weekly/monthly/yearly interest rate. Also this app is buggy most of the time ### 1/5 — Apr is to high. *2021-08-26, version 5.3* I would say I would’ve liked it but the APR on your loans is too high. I borrowed $1,300 for a year and have to pay a lot more back. I wouldn’t recommend. ### 1/5 — Class action lawsuits *2021-08-13, version 5.3* Don’t trust this company. They had ridiculous interest rates and was taken to court for their immoral practices. I just got a letter that my debt has been cancelled as disputes debt in the class action lawsuit they had against them towards the end of 2020. Google AWL Settlement if you want to look into how to get your outstanding debt waived/cancelled. I hope they crumble for how they conducted business and gauged their customers. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Bug Fixes - App Improvement - Same Day Deposit *2021-07-21, version 5.3* It seems the app developers have ironed out all of the bugs and issues. I requested a short term $300 loan and was approved within minutes. Had the funds in my bank within 6 hours. No issues, I needed to replace two tires on my vehicle and was able to do so. Only concern, I’ve an extraordinary high interest rate upwards of 5000% five thousand percent. If I was unable to pay this loan off within 1 week, it would not be worth it. But if you got the loan pls pay it off right away and then deal with situation that your in another way.
