## Newest reviews (10 of 31)

### 3/5 — Upload live version and preview not available

*2024-05-29*

I don’t see a preview and it would nice to get the live version photos to upload

### 4/5 — Хорошо, но...

*2024-04-17, version 1.3.0*

С протоколом работает нормально, коннектится без танцев с бубнами - видимо есть автоподбор версии протокола.
Но звезду снял за то, что или нет функции удаления каталога, или она реализована совсем неявно.

Please add a DELETE folder button.

### 4/5 — Good, but it could be better

*2021-03-22, version 1.2.3*

Great app, but still need two important features:
1. Upload media using IOS share button
2. Custom URL support.

All implemented features are working without any bugs. Clear and user-friendly UI.

### 3/5 — Almost what I want

*2020-11-17*

It connects to my buckets, good.
I can download and push and list and create prefixes etc, good.
I can download files and see them in my “On my iPhone” section in files, ok.

I can’t browse my buckets in files. It looks like the integration for files is based on storing files in the apps documents section and then enabling file browsing.

What I need is an app that uses FileProvider extensions to browse my buckets in the Files app without having to download the files in the app that actually connects to s3. This is not that. For $1.99 maybe it’s probably good enough. Certainly cheaper than spending the time to build an app myself. But still not what I need.

### 3/5 — Promising, but not worth it

*2020-06-05*

This app is the only one I could find that would let me connect to S3-compatible buckets (ie. not run by Amazon), but unfortunately it has serious performance issues preventing me from opening files and browsing in larger folders, which is really a shame. A search feature would be a welcome addition also.
A fix to make this app actually usable is all it needs - it's certainly made leaps and bounds from earlier reviews here. If you're storing a small number of files on an S3-compatible bucket and want to browse and view them on your phone, this is a great app for it. Unfortunately, does not scale well.

### 4/5 — Simple S3 Viewer

*2020-06-04*

Simple app that does the job well.

Would be nice if you could easily swipe or tap to progress to the next photo/file in the directory rather than having to navigate back after viewing a file.

### 3/5 — iOS access to your S3 bucket

*2020-02-11*

Thank you for this. This does what I wanted. It lets me browse my S3 bucket using IAM credentials to view, download, and upload files from my iOS device (iPhone) The speed is the same as I get on my computer and has more to do with the Amazon side than the app, I think.

It would rate a five if the uploads continued in the second plane, when you navigate away from the app to another one, and when navigating within the app to other folders. This way I wouldn’t have to wait and watch and keep my phone awake until the uploads complete.

Having to watch sure makes it feel like the uploads are taking a long time.

Thank you again for this useful S3 utility on iOS. For accessing an S3 bucket, it’s better than what Amazon themselves offer with Amazon Console.

### 3/5 — Works but not 100%

*2019-10-11*

This works but it is very slow. Also I have trouble getting it to work with large videos over 8 minutes long. It just seems to timeout or something. That being said it works better than anything else that I’ve tried.

**Developer response:** Hi Phil,

Thanks for your review! I spent a lot of time trying to improve the speed of video uploads, but unfortunately the underlying libraries have severe performance issues that prove impossible to overcome. I am holding out for AWS and the React Native ecosystem to release updated versions of those libraries that at least provide an option to customize the relevant integration points, but for the time being, things are generally slow for larger video files. Smaller files work fine, and large ones require patience but succeed eventually.

If you have experienced slowness in other areas of the app, please get in touch and provide more details so I have a chance to improve it.

Much appreciated,
Phil

### 3/5 — Disappointed

*2018-07-25*

I was hoping it would do more than just photos. Eg media file support would be helpful

**Developer response:** The latest version adds the ability to play video and audio files right in the app, as well as the ability to view any files that are supported by iOS. It also includes an integration with the Files app for uploads and downloads of all file types. Enjoy!

### 2/5 — Can’t upload videos

*2018-06-15*

Videos recorded on my phone always fail with a vague error message but seems to work for photos. Sometimes app is buggy and not helpful when it runs into issues.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No fullscreen or maximized video mode

*2024-06-29*

This is a deal breaker for me and makes the app completely useless.

### 1/5 — Unusable

*2021-10-06*

I can’t preview any objects, save them, copy their URLs, etc.

I hope this is a bug, but be weary…

**Developer response:** You are the first person to experience this. Please reach out via the Help menu inside the app.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work want money back

*2020-05-04*

I paid for this app so I could upload large videos to my amazon s3 account. It doesn’t work. It sits there saying processing assets and then eventually quits or doesn’t do anything at all. How do I get my money back?

**Developer response:** I empathise with you on the slowness of video uploads. That said, the app has a feedback form through the help menu, which is much better suited to get the help you want compared to an angry 1-star rating. Refunds require you to get in touch with Apple.

### 1/5 — Private only!

*2020-03-01, version 1.2.3*

Uploads are private and no way exists to make them public from the app. A share URL can be generated in the app to make the upload public for 24 hours only but not permanently.
I wouldn’t have bought this app if I’d known that!

Also disappointed that you can’t upload from the native share interface (eg: “Upload via S3 Manager” from camera roll)

Wouldn’t buy again in hindsight.

### 1/5 — Did not work for video mp4 85mb

*2019-09-28*

It just didn’t work for me.

**Developer response:** Hi Ryan,

I spent a lot of time trying to improve the speed of video uploads, but unfortunately the underlying libraries have severe performance issues that prove impossible to overcome. I am holding out for AWS and the React Native ecosystem to release updated versions of those libraries that at least provide an option to customize the relevant integration points, but for the time being, things are generally slow for larger video files. Smaller files work fine, and large ones require patience but succeed eventually.

This does not affect any other functionality of the app, and I would kindly ask you to reconsider your 1-star rating if it’s just one feature that is not working fast enough for you.

Much appreciated,
Phil

### 1/5 — Ugh... kinda useless

*2019-02-26*

You can browse your online folders
You supposedly can upload (haven’t tried it yet) but can’t download. Hmm yeah, that’s about as useful as a paper weight

**Developer response:** The latest version allows downloads of all file types to the Files app, and photos as well as videos can be downloaded to the Photo library in addition to the Files app. I hope this brightens your day a little!

### 1/5 — Can’t export from other apps

*2018-05-10*

You cannot export from other app to S3. Emailed support and nothing.

**Developer response:** The latest version includes an integration with the Files app for uploads and downloads of all file types. Enjoy!

### 2/5 — Needs an update already

*2024-02-12, version 1.3.0*

The layout doesn’t fit iPhone Pro Max screens- everything is outside of the space I can touch. And please add a dark mode. Otherwise this is good, basic and gets the job done:

### 2/5 — Buggy

*2022-09-11*

Crashes with large files (>1GB) so not useful to backup video files.

### 2/5 — Connecting your photos

*2022-03-26, version 1.2.3*

The app works and connects to your S3 account well but it wants access to your photos. Usually when an app wants access to your photos, an option appears to either accept or deny. However, it wants to go into setting and turn it on. When you do go into setting, it states that apps that requested access to your photos will appear here however, this app does not.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-10-19, version 1.3.0*

All I need, all working, nice price!

### 5/5 — As described

*2023-05-26, version 1.3.0*

Does what it says it does. Good app all around

### 5/5 — Works as advertised, just needs minor QoL changes

*2022-06-25*

Works perfectly fine for regular use, although I’m not able to get the s3-acceleration dual stack endpoint working.

I also wish you could full screen the video and pictures from the preview, sometimes I need to zoom in on a picture and don’t really want to download it to my device.

Well made simple app, no idea why its rated so low.

### 5/5 — Works

*2021-09-20*

Does exactly what it says it does.
Thank you for providing a valuable tool at a bargain price.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review!

### 5/5 — Nice little app

*2019-12-12*

Makes it simple to access my files on s3.

### 5/5 — So easy to use!

*2019-09-12, version 1.2*

Very intuitive, full featured file management app. Started using S3 much more since I now have better access to my files from my phone.

### 5/5 — From a useless piece of software to a great utility!

*2019-08-13, version 1.2*

This app used to be useless but now with files transfer from a S3 bucket to iOS device it makes it a great app! Many thanks for the update.

### 5/5 — Useful app!

*2019-08-12, version 1.2*

This app helps me easily connect to s3 with a simple interface. It’s great to be able to upload and download files, photos, and view them without downloading.

### 5/5 — This is the only iOS app that works

*2019-06-06, version 1.1*

I have tested every single app that says it works with S3. This is the only one that actually does.

Supports multiple S3 connections, supports Canada ca-central-1 zone, uploads multiple photos. Buy it!

### 5/5 — Great Little App

*2019-01-06*

I’ve actually never written a review before but I really like this clean, smart little app. Solves a long standing issue of mine - getting files between my iOS devices and my AWS account. Thanks to the developer!

**Developer response:** Thank you, much appreciated! The latest version brings a number of new features that I’m sure you’ll appreciate too, including an integration with the Files app for uploads and downloads. Cheers!
