Every guitar you own has a story: where it came from, how it's set up, what it sounds like. Ax Collector keeps all of it in one place, instead of spread across a spreadsheet, a notes app and a camera roll. THE WHOLE RECORD, ONE GUITAR AT A TIME - Make, model, year, where it was made and the serial number. - Body and fretboard woods, pickups, tuning, string brand and gauge. - Setup notes and ownership notes, so you remember what was done to it and where it came from. - Photos from your camera or your library. Pinch in on the details. - Sound clips recorded right in the app. Capture how it sounds today, fresh strings and all. GUITARS AND BASSES, YOUR WAY - Search, filter and sort the whole collection. - Keep the ones you've sold on record, marked as sold. - Works on iPhone and iPad. SHARE A SPEC SHEET - Turn one guitar or the whole collection into a PDF spec sheet, ready for Mail, Messages, Files or Print. - Choose what goes in: the main photo, details, specs, setup and ownership notes. - Handy when you're insuring a guitar, selling one, or just showing off. YOURS, AND PRIVATE - No account to make. - Your collection syncs between your iPhone and iPad through your own iCloud. - No ads and no tracking. The app sends anonymous usage statistics only, never linked to you. PAY ONCE One purchase. No subscription, no in-app purchases. UPGRADING FROM 2.x? Ax Collector 3.0 is a complete rebuild. It brings your 2.x collection across on first launch and keeps your old files as a backup until you choose to delete them. My use case… moved from iPhone 12 to 17. V 3.1 has just been released and it really builds on the success of prior and usefulness. I am so happy and grateful to the developer that brought this app back to life. Thank you! In addition, the app offers Rich documentation information and space for lots of images as well as audio clips. It also catalogs other gear and items that are not a guitar. Export your collection for insurance purposes or needs. Keep your collection on your computer or iCloud. You decide. you own your collection I love it. Five stars! Indispensable for keeping track of details, granular or simple it handles it all with a great interface. BONUS > if you have a semi recent mac it works on that as well… i have it running on a mac mini m2 pro as well as my ios devices. You won’t find anything else out there as good and its not a subscription. If you want to catalog your goods, well worth the silly cost. So grateful this app is back! Totally worth it… Catalog your investments and goods! Very worthy and recommended. **Developer response:** Thank you very much for the kind words and for taking the time to leave a review! (It really helps other users discover the app!). I'm really happy that v3 is out. I can see that a lot of users have been able to migrate their collections from v2. Thank you for the inspiration in making these improvements. -Alistair ### 5/5 — Awesome App - Reworked - Guitars Yes BUT MORE! *2026-10-12* I had v2. It was very good when it came out. I love it… 5 stars! ### 5/5 — Must have for guitar collectors! *2020-12-23* There have only been a few guitar collector apps that I’ve ever seen, and most have been junk. This app, though not free (but only $0.99) is everything I was looking for in a guitar collector app. Ability to add MANY pictures and details about the guitars I own. Finally, all my guitars and their specs in one place, AND with me at all times! I had an issue with it being able to see some fields that were required my first time trying to use the app. The developer emailed me back within a couple hours and provided a work around (it was an lOS version update issue) and by the next day, the software was updated to fix the bug. GREAT service. I highly recommend this app to anyone that has more than “a few” guitars! **Developer response:** Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review! I appreciate your feedback. + just to let you know, V3 is now out, which include iCloud sync across Apple devices, a total re-design, light/dark mode and a new feature to export the collection as PDF! -Alistair ### 3/5 — Needs iCloud backup *2019-10-15* The email export is great but having an iCloud backup would be awesome. It’d also be incredible to have this on my Mac and iPad. Thanks! **Developer response:** Hi Anarky, Thank you for the feedback! I'm delighted to tell you that all your wishes are fulfilled! Please update to the current app version (>v3). Now included is iCloud sync and support for Mac. Use this link (from a Mac with at least OS 26). Then tap “view on Mac App Store” https://apps.apple.com/app/id1161437095 As long as your computer uses the same Apple sign-in as your phone your guitar collection will sync automatically. If you enjoy the release would you mind updating your review? It would really help more people discover the app. Thank you! -Alistair ### 5/5 — Great app *2019-07-05* It does what it promises, I had another app, is not in the App Store anymore, it was a mess. I like this one a lot, simple to use. Just a few suggestions, add more tunings or the ability to type, add finish option as well for bridge....also nitpicking have an option to a darker theme. Great job! **Developer response:** Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review! Version 3 is now available and you can choose between a light and dark theme. Also now your collection will sync automatically between your Apple devices using iCloud sync. Thank you for all the suggestions! -Alistair ### 5/5 — Easy and comprehensive app *2016-10-22* This is an easy and comprehensive app to catalogue my guitars. I like the recording section and the simple format. Great for beginner collectors and long time collectors alike. I don't have a lot of guitars but as I collect them, I'm happy to use this! **Developer response:** Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review!
