I did not realize others were using this app exactly the same way. The camera view is especially useful/necessary for visualizing the position of the marks on the cornea preoperatively. The camera has quit working in the latest version (or perhaps a bug with the latest iOS). Now selecting the camera from within the app does not work but goes to the phone’s home screen. Hopefully this can be corrected soon. It is very useful and accurate. I recommend it to all ### 5/5 — Toric IOL axis *2020-12-22, version 2.1.1* As an Ophthalmologist I have used this app on an almost daily basis to measure the exact axis of a Toric IOL in the post op period. It is accurate to 1 degree in the clinic and is essential to obtain the IOL axis especially for input in the Berdahl/Hardten Astigmatism Fix calculator to evaluate if a Toric IOL should be rotated. Just sit patient at slit lamp. Have them look into the beam. Rotate the beam to align with the IOL axis. Have patient sit back and hold cell phone up to the slit lamp and adjust the axis line in the app to be coincident with the slit beam while looking through the slit lamp. Extremely accurate and fast.
