## What is Axis MCP?

AxisMCP turns your iPhone or iPad into a private MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. AI tools you choose can discover the device on your local network, request approval with a six-digit pairing code, and call the tools and Library content you allow. A connection password is available for clients that cannot show a pairing code. AxisMCP uses no developer server or cloud relay.

ON-DEVICE CHAT
Tap the Chat tab to ask questions, summarize notes, or draft text. Chat is powered by Apple Intelligence on supported hardware (iPhone 15 Pro or later, iPad with M1 or later, with Apple Intelligence turned on in Settings). Apple Intelligence availability varies by device, region, and language. The Settings → Intelligence section shows the current status and offers a Test Inference button.

YOUR LIBRARY
Use the Library tab to capture notes, reusable prompts, and imported SKILL.md guides stored on this device. Tool Access controls which prompts and built-in tools connected apps can list or call.

CONNECT
When an app on your computer asks to connect, your iPhone asks you to approve it — you type in the 6-digit code the app is showing on that computer, and nothing connects until you do. Approved computers are remembered, and you can forget any of them at any time. A connection password is also available for setups that can't show a code. No accounts, no cloud relay, no telemetry.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN
- No tracking, no analytics SDKs, no advertising.
- No developer server. The app does not collect your data, period.
- Network exposure is limited to your local Wi-Fi, and every connection must be approved on this device or present the connection password.
- Chat prompts and responses stay on your device via Apple's Foundation Models framework.
- Deleting the app removes its sandbox data. iOS may retain Keychain-backed credentials after uninstall; create a new connection password before uninstalling if you need to invalidate the old one.

EVERY-DAY APPLE QUALITY
Built for iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 with SwiftUI, Liquid Glass navigation, and a native four-tab layout that scales from iPhone to iPad Pro 13-inch.

What AxisMCP does not do: it does not host models, it does not relay your prompts to a cloud, and it does not require an account.
