It constantly has to reconnect to Bluetooth and WiFi and be reconfirmed. The videos never want to play. I haven’t been able to view my BWC footage in the wide screen in years. ### 2/5 — labeling is fine playback is a nightmare *2025-04-28* i been using this app since 2021 and been having trouble with playback when playing back it will not play but show the recording at the moment. i would like to see improvement of this i don’t know why this always seems to be the case i just upload to the cloud before actually watching it it also times out when watching and it plays like it’s supposed to the live view was finally fixed to be able to see what the cam is seeing. **Developer response:** Hello, we're sorry to hear you have pairing issues with your body camera. Thank you! ### 1/5 — Slowest app ever *2025-04-05, version 6.7.0* Should be useful, but it’s so laggy as to be nearly impossible to use. The last year or so its reliability and usefulness has significantly dropped. I can’t use it to review evidence without having to close and restart the app and deleting and redownloading the app. Everytime I’ve reached out to support the answer is always delete and reinstall the app which in my line of work I don’t always have the time to do. Something needs to be fixed in the coding or something so it becomes more reliable again. The only thing I can count on it doing is allowing me to input the metadata. ### 1/5 — Complete Garbage *2026-03-02* I wish I could give it zero stars. The app rarely works the way it is intended, video playback is choppy and rarely works. When switching to full screen mode, the videos won’t play at all. With all AXON can do, you’d think they would fix this horrible app. ### 1/5 — Bugs *2026-02-23* Near impossible to watch your footage on the app without it freezing every 40-50 seconds. Or just not load at all and have to restart the app several times before it decides it may work. If you need to skip to the end of the video for something you have to skip about 2 minutes at a time if you do too much at the start it will once again freeze. Then you need to close out of the video and open it again several times before you have the chance to try again. Extremely frustrating when you're trying to find something specific and have to close out of the video a dozen times because it keeps freezing then won't play again until you reset it. An update with bug fixes for this would make a big difference ### 1/5 — Terrible *2025-12-28* Absolutely aggravating when trying to watch a video you have recorded to write a report. It constantly disconnects, lags, buffers, or just doesn't work all together. You try to skip back to the part it shut off at, nope try again. Reset the app and try to go back to the spot you were at, nope try again. ### 1/5 — Worthless *2025-12-10, version 6.8.0* All this money these agencies are paying them every single month and they can't make an app that plays a video for longer than one minute. ### 1/5 — Firmware is terrible on iOS *2025-10-07, version 6.8.0* Had the axon body 3 and if you want to review your video for more then 3 minutes you won’t be able to because it will disconnect and tell you to reconnect but then it will never load and you have to force close and try to watch from it where was. Got the axon body 4 won’t even pair to my phone…. Works perfectly fine on Android but not iOS. Support doesn’t help and just tells you to update to newest firmware even though it already is or tells you to forget the camera which all has been done but won’t fix the app. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2025-08-24, version 6.8.0* This app is terrible. Also, rotating camera from portrait to landscape always freezes and restarts the video.
