They took the city filter away as well so it’s harder to find things. ### 2/5 — No card needed but search function is terrible *2020-01-27, version 1.2.7* I tried searches for “dry cleaners” and go “no results” despite knowing there are several offers available. Same when searching “massage”. Only a few came up but when searching by business name more were found. This probably indicates better tags in each offer needs to happen. ### 5/5 — Improved since previous app *2019-11-28, version 1.2.5* What’s most valuable to me is being able to filter just the merchants I’m interested in at the moment and quickly seeing which of those are closest to wherever I am (via GPS.) Also easy to see which offers have been used. Another feature that would be useful is a notification that reminds you that the business your in has an Axxess offer. Sometimes I forget to use it! Within minutes I’m seeing a notice that I must sign into instagram to view the information. I pay for the Axxes membership and don’t do Instagram or Facebook so I can’t look at the menus or other information. I should be able to opt out of the requirement of logging into or joining Instagram or using Facebook. ### 5/5 — Love the updates! *2019-11-16, version 1.2.5* I love how easy it now is to find deals near me! My family has saved a ton of money using this and visited a lot of new local businesses and restaurants that are now in regular rotation. The meat market savings alone pays for the card in a matter of weeks! Let alone fun date. Igor savings and places to take the kids! So many hidden gems! The app is clutch! Total game changer! My family bought several cards for a fundraiser and are having problems using the it. After downloading the app and activating the card, it keeps asking to activate it again. Having the card has allowed me to try different restaurants that I might not have. And many of the discounts offer continuous discounts of 20% off after using the buy one get the second meal half off. We found many restaurants & returned to 70% or more of which we would liked & never have discovered without Axxess. The 2 for 1 dinners are a draw for us to go through the effort of trying something new. We love supporting locally owned businesses and Axxess is a great way to introduce those new relationships. We highly recommend membership to everyone & let the businesses know we found them via Axxess. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Awful *2023-01-01, version 1.6.2* On New Year’s Eve the app was glitchy and it kept kicking me off. Tried on my daughters phone and did it in her phone too. I deleted app and re installed several times and turned phone off and in and updated phone and nothing. So I couldn’t use my Axxess discount on New Year’s Eve. What is the point of selling a product that solely depends on a app the you can’t even sign into or use. What a wasted $40 on this product. Never again. I hope this gets fixed ### 1/5 — Frustrating *2022-12-31, version 1.6.2* Planned to use today on a few deals since the year is wrapping up. Force closes every time I try to open the app. Uninstalled and reinstalled and continues to close. Useless. If they had continued to provide a card to use alongside the app, this would not be a problem. I’m not sure why the decision was made to go with app only. So frustrated. ### 1/5 — Wise than before *2022-03-15, version 1.6.2* The old app was very good, it told you if you had used an offer at a glance. The newest update does not show that and the only way to find out is to click on offer. The problem is that before you click on it you are warned that if you click on it you must use it or lose it. That means you cannot just check to see if you have used the offer before without losing it if you haven’t—such a stupid new system, surely one of the dumbest ideas of all time ### 1/5 — App hasn’t worked for me on over a year *2021-12-23, version 1.5.0* I was fine not using my Axxess card during lockdown, so the fact that the app hasn’t worked for me (I’ve uninstalled, reset my password, etc) for over a year wasn’t a big deal. But I gave in and purchased a new card this year only to encounter the same issues with the app. There’s no support (except a phone number in the website), so I’m just stuck with a service I paid for and can’t use. ### 1/5 — App has been down for over 10 days *2021-12-21, version 1.5.0* App has been down now for over 10 days. I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling it to see if that would resolve the issue, but the same error keeps popping up. Developers, what’s going on? This is why the physical card should be used instead (like it used to be) instead of this crummy app. ### 1/5 — Great program, poor app *2021-03-14, version 1.3.7* I am a proud Axxess card holder but find the app to be completely useless. Since the 2021 update I have not been able to log in. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app several times and have tried creating a new account. Each time. Try to log in I get a timeout error message. For me the app is completely useless. ### 2/5 — Not the same *2022-06-03, version 1.6.2* Will not renew next year. Even though it’s pretty good this year it’s not as good as it used to be. And I’m pretty sure it’s only gonna get worse. Some restaurants don’t even honor it anymore. Ridiculous. Actually it’s false advertising. Maybe I’ll look into pursuing legal action. ### 2/5 — Broken SSL connection *2021-12-01, version 1.3.9* All of the sudden my Axxess app won’t open. It states that the ssl connection is broken. Thinking it was because I had offloaded it for a bit, I deleted it and reinstalled it with no different result. I couldn’t ask for help, as that wouldn’t open either. Guess it’s good that I hadn’t bought a new card yet. ### 2/5 — Nearby merchants are gone after the update *2020-09-06, version 1.3.0* I loved the app until I updated it yesterday. It is now only showing a few nearby merchants and the rest are over 25mi away???? I also searched by name for the merchants that I used in the past and the app says can’t find them???? Anyone have had similar issues? ### 2/5 — This card needs better organization! *2020-02-18, version 1.2.7* If I really want to use this card I can’t . It is not organized in any way that makes any sense. If I am downtown & looking for a restaurant I should be able to to look under Restaurants and find one. I should be able to look under all the major categories of things and find what I am looking for. I should not have to go through every business in the area to find a restaurant . I tried to delete and rescan my card without any success. I’ve called the number on the back of the card and I have not been able to get a hold of anyone! **Developer response:** Hi JinxnMilymom! Thank you! ### 5/5 — Great app but need to offer a no card option *2020-01-11, version 1.2.6* I only use the app and it is so great. They should make it where you can just renew on the app without having to purchase an actual card and book that you have to pick up and validate before you can use it. **Developer response:** We've got you covered! In the app, go to "My Settings" and select which membership you'd like to auto-renew. By selecting a school or group below the auto-renew, $13 of your purchase will be allocated to them each year through our fundraising initiative! ### 5/5 — Awesome App *2020-01-11, version 1.2.6* I love having the access card and getting savings when going out to eat. But they sure took it up a notch when they added it on the app. I may not always have my card on me but I definitely have my phone. When I walk into a business it shows me if they have a deal or not so I’m really able to utilize my card now. ### 5/5 — Axxess Card 2019 *2019-12-09, version 1.2.5* I got the card as an office gift and I loved it. I had never had the Axxess card before and I’m currently in Ventura County and I’ve gotten really good use out of it. It is easy to use, I haven’t had any issues using it, I straight tell the merchants I have the Axxess card and they whip out their issues phone, scan my card or phone and it’s good to go.
