Ayah By Ayah is a simple, easy to use app that will play the recitation of a single Ayah. Inspired by the hadith: Umm Salamah رضي الله عنها was asked about the recitation of the Rasool of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم‎ so she said, "He used to pause in his recitation, Ayah by Ayah (Ahmad, Abu Dawud, At-Tirmidhi) The motivation behind the app was that as you are reading the Qur'an, you come across certain Ayah's which you may find difficult to recite correctly or are not sure where to make a stop. Rather then opening the Surah on your mp3 player and trying to fast forward to the particular Ayah which is not practical, a simple interface is shown where you select the Surah and Ayah and Play. That's all there is to it. Now, 9 years later, the developer has added many additional features which makes it even more amazing. The app is very beneficial for both general reading and for students who want to do Hifz. I was especially impressed on the simplicity and easiness it had to listen and go through any ayah of the Quran, use translate tool with a simple touch on the screen or select a different reciter.
