Very few actual candidates on the site. On top of everything, I have been getting charged for months after terminating my membership despite multiple unsuccessful exchanges with customer service. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. We've made significant changes to our platform, including switching to an affordable one-time fee structure to provide more flexibility and control in addition to our existing free features. So frustrating ### 1/5 — High price low value *2023-02-02, version 2.16* I searched through A Yi Connect and was happy to see the wide pool of nannies. You have to pay $89 to message more than one nanny, so I signed up. Turned out, you have to pay even more to message certain “premium” nannies. After I messaged a few a yi’s about one job posting, they all responded fairly quickly. However, they were all the same canned messages. AYiConnect allows the nanny to select a canned response without their knowledge. Essentially, all the responses I got from nannies were automated and not from a real person. I received no responses after I followed up with when they were able to chat. $89 paid and zero conversations with a real nanny. ### 1/5 — Good concept, poor execution *2022-12-06, version 2.15* Signed up for 3-month membership and contacted multiple Asian helpers for elderly. First of all, it took a few tries to resolve the access glitch as I was unable to contact anyone after paying for the membership. The whole process made me feel like a low budget app development. Got responses from a few of the employees but turned out those were auto-replies and the employees were not looking for jobs or were not aware of the contact. Done searching the local employee database in a day. Tried to contact an employee at a higher tier and was told to pay for more membership in order to contact that particular employee . Contacted their customer service department to request for a refund. It has been over 3 weeks and no refund has been credited to the account. Sent a second email to check the refund status and so far there is no reply. ### 3/5 — Energy inefficient *2024-07-26, version 2.21.5* App consumes significantly amount of power, heats the phone (15 pro) and drains battery fast. We needed a caregiver who could take care of my grandmother who only speaks Cantonese, and they delivered. Our caregiver is caring, kind, and has been a wonderful companion for my grandmother.
