## What is AYU3?

AYU3 is a 3-second video diary with no editing required.
Capture just three seconds of a moment, and watch the ordinary days of your life slowly become a film.
Your kids growing up, life with your pets, a trip, an ordinary today — kept just for you.

■ Keep today, in just 3 seconds
Press the record button and it captures exactly 3 seconds, then saves itself.
You don't have to keep much. No editing, no save button.
Record, and you're done.

Five clips a day. That's the limit.
Because there's a limit, the ordinary moments get chosen —
and a missed day is never held against you.

■ You won't know until you watch
Each clip is finished automatically to match its light and time of day.
A night walk home, a sunlit noon, a sudden sepia —
the same everyday life, kept in slightly different faces.

■ Videos become a diary
The date appears large when you play a clip, making each video a diary page.
Only the days you recorded carry amber dots on the calendar.
Pick a day to play it in one piece.
Play a whole month, and it becomes your own short film.

■ Every day, a little film
Stitching them together is the app's job.
Record on three days, and your first little film appears by itself.
Export it as a single video and share it anywhere.
Now and then, a special effect settles on a reel, and it feels like a memory from long ago: a "Distant Memory".

■ AYU3 Plus (one-time purchase)
Some days, you want to keep more. Plus is for those days — pay once, keep it forever.
- Up to 10 clips a day (your usual 5, then 5 more with Plus)
- Change the finish afterwards — or set it back to automatic
- Reels for any date range you like
Not a subscription. Family Sharing supported.
Free stays free, forever.

■ Privacy
Your recordings stay on your device and in your own iCloud (backup is optional). No accounts, no servers.
No data collection of any kind.

■ For people who
- never make it past day three of a written diary
- want to keep the ordinary days of their kids or pets
- want to keep everyday life for themselves, not for social media

Today's 3 seconds can only be recorded today.
Even an ordinary today will someday be a treasured memory.

Walking through life, 3 seconds at a time. AYU3

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5.1 — 2026-10-10

• The date signature on clips and reels now uses a heavier weight, so it stays readable when shared.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-10-09

Search your days
• Type a word like "kids", "park", "ramen", "dog" or "beach" to find the clips that show it. Recognition happens entirely on your iPhone — no tagging, nothing leaves the device.
• Matches line up by date. With AYU3 Plus, turn them into a reel in one tap.

A new finish: Toy Camera
• A finish that looks like a lucky shot from a cheap little lens — richer color, dark corners, color fringing at the edges, and now and then a light leak.
• Like the other finishes, it's picked automatically, and only once in a while. When it shows up, call it a lucky day.
• AYU3 Plus: you can also pick it under "Change the finish", or apply it to a whole reel with "Match the look".

Also:
• Fixed a rare crash right after launch.

### 1.4.1 — 2026-10-03

Bug fix:
• In places with poor or no signal, AYU3 Plus could fall back to the free limit of 5 clips a day. AYU3 now keeps a record of your last verified purchase on the device, so Plus stays active in crowds, underground, or in airplane mode.
• After updating, open AYU3 once with a connection so it can save that record.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-09-26

• The camera no longer switches lenses mid-recording, so close-ups and low light stay sharp all the way through.
• Reels now have a timeline: step back and forward one clip at a time, hold for the previous or next day, or scrub to see the date and time.
• AYU3 Plus: give a whole reel one look, then save or share it as is.
• The date signature now includes the time in every look.

### 1.3.1 — 2026-09-18

Bug fix:
• Saving or sharing a single clip left out the date signature. The exported video now carries the same signature you see when playing it in AYU3 (reel exports are unchanged).
• With iCloud backup on, deleting a clip took about a second to disappear. Deletion is now immediate; the iCloud side is cleaned up in the background.
