## What is AYUDA?

Adventure and relaxation, the main selling point of the island of AYUDA, well at least that’s what the brochure says. Half of the island of AYUDA is a vacation paradise with hotels, beaches and bars. The other half of AYUDA is an unspoilt ancient land only ever visited by smuggling pirates in the 1500’s. 

Story has it that after smugglers became stranded on the island and discovered by Spanish explorers the island got its name from distress messages crafted on the beach, ‘ayuda’ which is the Spanish for ‘help’.

Since the island of AYUDA was named, there has been rumours of a mysterious hidden treasure somewhere deep inside the mountains, but with the terrain fairly inhospitable and the fear of ancient traps no one has been brave enough to tackle the adventure. 


ABOUT

AYUDA is a first person point and click graphic puzzle adventure, similar to games you may have played in the ’90’s. A simple gameplay interface consisting of the world that you explore and an inventory panel where you can collect, combine and use items you find along the way to solve puzzles.

Explore areas, collect hidden objects and take in your surroundings. You will need all of your puzzle solving skills to put together a plan to make your way through the island, solving riddles and down the many paths towards the secret treasure of AYUDA.

How you tackle the puzzles is down to you. Each puzzle has a logical solution, so take your time, there is no rush and enjoy the process of understanding what you have to do.

Way too short for the price of the game

Schöne, liebevoll umgesetzte Graphik. Statische Bilder, ohne Animationen. Also keine sich bewegenden Wolken, Wellen usw. Kaum bis keine visuelle Aktionen beim Anklicken von Gegenständen. Drückt man beispielsweise einen Knopf / Schalter bewegt sich dieser nicht. Das Spiel wirkt daher, trotz der durchaus opulenten Graphik, eher nüchtern um nicht altbacken zu sagen. Schade eigentlich. Sehr einfach gehaltener und sich prinzipiell wiederholender Rätsel Aufbau. Wenn man sich darauf einlässt, macht das Spiel Spaß. Gerade warmgelaufen, ist es dann leider schon durchgespielt. Spieldauer bei mir, deutlich unter einer Stunde. Für den Preis, im Vergleich zu anderen Spielen, erheblich zu kurz. Einige Rätsel werden auf Handy Displays schwer zu lösen sein, da teilweise die Hinweise sehr klein ausfallen. Auf dem großen Ipad pro geht es gerade so.

While short, I really enjoyed playing Ayuda. As a long time adventure puzzler I actually prefer not to have too many directions, forcing me to explore the game world properly. It isn’t a particularly long game, taking me just under 3 hours to complete, but as promised all the puzzles were completely logical and the clues are there if you persevere. At half the price of a typical magazine these days I think it was worth it.
Off to download the next M9 game now!

I absolutely HATE writing a bad review, but this game is simply awful, awful, awful.  First off, there was absolutely no way for me to quit out of this game unless I unplug the computer and restart it.  The first scene or two were fine, but after that, all that's left to do is run around clicking on things and hope something happens.  There are zero hints available and making it past the first shed is impossible.  It could be a really interesting game except for the fact that there's nothing to be done once you're at the first shed.  Plus, the button code on the roof did not work, so I went to a walkthrough and I did it exactly as prompted.  This game is not a good one and I'm very disappointed that I could go no further with it.
