## What is Azores Bus?

Azores Bus is an independent, offline-first bus timetable and trip planner for the Azores. Plan your island transport from home before you travel, then rely on it offline once you land — no signal needed on mountain roads or quiet coastlines.

VERIFIED ISLAND BY ISLAND
We add coverage the honest way: verified before visible. Six islands ship operator-sourced bus data today — São Miguel (the AzoresBus network), Terceira (MobiAzores), Faial (Farias), Pico (UTC Pico), Santa Maria (TSM) and Graciosa (ECTIG). Pick your island in the app and everything — search, suggestions, planning — puts it first. São Jorge and Flores are not covered yet; we say so in the app instead of pretending.

HONEST ABOUT THE DATA
- Scheduled timetables and trip planning — not live vehicle tracking
- Terminus departure times are official; intermediate stop times are estimates
- Independent app — not affiliated with AzoresBus (the operator), MobiAzores, Farias, UTC, TSM, ECTIG or any operator
- No ticket sales and no ferry booking; always confirm critical trips with the operator

Core timetables, search and trip planning work without an upgrade. An optional pass supports development and unlocks the full map experience. We're building the bus companion we wished existed for the Azores — one verified island at a time.

Big Azores update:
• Four new islands with operator-sourced bus data: São Miguel (the new AzoresBus network), Terceira (MobiAzores), Faial (Farias) and Santa Maria (TSM) — joining Pico and Graciosa. About 2,950 stops and 93 routes across six islands.
• New island chooser: pick the island you're planning for (or let the app detect it when you're there) and search, suggestions and planning put that island first.
• Honest validity: when an operator's published timetable window ends, the app says so instead of showing stale times.
