Watching baseball games, it freezes up every half inning. The screen goes white but the audio continues to play. No customer support whatsoever. The app allows me to sign in and watch content, but only from a tablet or phone. It’s not available on any tv app stores from what I can tell, and if you stream to a device the ads cause the stream to stop working. Absolutely unacceptable. And there seems to be no way to contact customer service, because you’ll just be talking to a chatbot that tells you to go to an article to talk to customer service, but the article tells you to contact the chatbot. Not worth $12.99/month, not even worth $0.99/month. I wouldn’t even continue to use the service if they gave it to me for free. At the end of every half inning the app quits casting to the TV. The only solutions appear to be either repeatedly rewinding (5 taps on the rewind appears to do the trick) and then tapping “live after about 30 seconds) or completely closing out the app and starting over at each half inning. It looks like they won’t let me disconnect until the very last day of my subscription, which it will then spell over into another month of payment. Both times I contacted their customer service and they never talked about fixing the issue, just kept telling me to request a refund through Apple. When I contacted Apple they informed me that the Big10 app is really broken. So genuinely do not spend your money on a subscription, you will just throw money away and still have no access to the content. They are the only Power 4 conference that makes it impossible for fans to access their content and watch games. I emailed Big Ten Plus once again this month, due to the same message. No active subscription, yet they’ve withdrawn the money from my account. Finally, an honest response, Big Ten Plus does NOT synch with ITunes. Why are they continuing to collect money from us? Big Ten told me I’d have to try to get my money back through Apple…I guess we’re back to passing the buck. This needs to stop!!! Comments are based on Wisconsin versus Miami match. Examples: Service errors are not “aces”. Blocks are good blocks only if they are in. You can’t listen and count on the accuracy of what you’re hearing. On a positive note the video quality is much improved from last year. Addition to review: The App itself works well for us-the announcers are enthusiastic but need more experience and better understanding of rules and terms. **Developer response:** Some events are produced by the Big Ten Network StudentU Program, which provides instruction and hands-on experience to students at the 14 Big Ten Conference institutions. An on-campus experience that is unique to the Big Ten, StudentU is part of the conference’s educational mission as we work to identify and teach the next generation of sports production professionals.
