### 1/5 — Very misleading

*2025-01-16, version 11.0.1*

FAA officials need to remove this from the APP Store. As a new drone pilot, reading everything from the FAA site shows this app as the one to use. They need to update their wording and be more accurate if they expect the drone community to do the same.

### 1/5 — Why have this?

*2024-12-31, version 11.0.1*

The app has been removed. Why even have this link?

### 1/5 — Why is this on the store?

*2024-12-19, version 11.0.1*

I installed this garbage and it immediately told me it isn’t available. Why waste taxpayer money keeping this up?

### 1/5 — Why is this app still up if it’s broken??

*2024-10-28, version 11.0.1*

I recently downloaded this app and I just went to open it because I’m about to fly a drone and it says this app is no longer supported

### 1/5 — No longer Works 10-25-2024

*2024-10-26, version 11.0.1*

The app is only a link to the FAA website

### 1/5 — Bring B4UFly App Back!

*2024-09-04, version 11.0.1*

The old app worked just fine. The FAA should bring it back! Who needs new apps where you have to create more profiles for the same exact service? Just take the funding from the FBI because they're FEDsurrectionists!

### 1/5 — Out of Service

*2024-06-29, version 11.0.1*

App is no longer in service

### 1/5 — App “no longer in service”

*2024-06-23, version 11.0.1*

That’s all this apps does. Tells you it’s no longer in service and links to faa to download something else.

What a joke. Thanks for wasting my time.
ZERO stars

### 1/5 — No longer in service

*2024-06-16, version 11.0.1*

The only screen on this app says it no longer works.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2024-05-29, version 11.0.1*

Mann kann die App zwar Downloaden aber diese sagt dir dann nur dass die App nichtmehr existiert …

### 1/5 — App is Useless now

*2024-02-04, version 11.0.0*

This app literally does nothing now

### 1/5 — App unusable?

*2024-02-04, version 11.0.0*

Is it intentional that the app is no longer functional? The description of the app kind of implies that’s the case but I wish the developer would clarify.

### 1/5 — What happened?!

*2024-02-03, version 11.0.0*

It used to be awesome. Not it’s terrible
Try “Drone buddy”

### 1/5 — No help.

*2024-02-03, version 11.0.0*

If you want people to know where you can’t fly then make an app that works. This app was simple. You updated it and now it does not show any maps.

### 1/5 — Unusable

*2024-02-02, version 11.0.0*

Current update doesn’t let me go past the initial “B4UFLY is expanding” screen.

I’m on a iPhone 13 mini so if there’s a button to acknowledge this message I can’t see it on my screen.

### 1/5 — Is this app officially retired?

*2024-02-01, version 11.0.0*

The latest update notes are not clear as to whether this app is dead or not because the publisher listed is *the* FAA and not Aloft.

### 1/5 — App does nothing

*2024-02-01, version 11.0.0*

The new update just opens a white screen saying that the FAA’s data providers for the app are changing, but there is no button to acknowledge it and continue. The app now does nothing.

### 1/5 — No longer works on iPad

*2024-02-01, version 11.0.0*

Opens to a white screen with the logons a link to the faa website. Useless incompetent app.

### 1/5 — Used to be fantastic, now bricked

*2024-02-01, version 11.0.0*

Latest update replaced the drone map with a screen saying that “B4UFLY is expanding!”

I can no longer view the map, or request LAANC, or anything. There is no new app replacement or anything listed.

### 2/5 — Aloft.ai under the hood.

*2024-01-29, version 10.5.3*

Not sure why this is needed as you still are sent to Air Control for LAANC approval. In addition, any app in this family other than Air Control does not do a good job of displaying layers so they are obvious which type of airspace you are looking at. Need more contrast on the colors or at least configurable.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Why is the FAA pushing UAS operators to use this app if this app has been discontinued?

*2026-03-20, version 11.0.1*

The FAA keeps telling drone operators to download and use this app, but as soon as you download and open this app the first (and only) page that pops up says this app is discontinued and you have to download your choice of several different apps. This app does absolutely nothing except waste space on your phone

### 1/5 — App Doesn’t Work

*2026-03-11, version 11.0.1*

App doesn’t work anymore. Instead the FAA outsourced this functionality to 5 private companies so they can charge for in app purchases while delivering tax-payer funded data. Government corruption at its finest.

### 1/5 — Dead app

*2026-01-07, version 11.0.1*

When you download it, you immediately got a message that says that this app is no longer available. Of course it was created by a government agency. 🤦‍♂️

### 1/5 — Scam

*2025-11-10, version 11.0.1*

Has good rating but then you get the app downloaded and it doesn’t work

### 1/5 — Scam

*2025-10-18, version 11.0.1*

It’s not even exist, why is it still in appstore???

### 1/5 — No Longer in Service

*2025-06-22, version 11.0.1*

I went to download this app, and as soon as I opened it, it says that it is no longer in service

### 1/5 — Discontinued

*2025-05-03, version 11.0.1*

This app is sunset and cannot be used. Why is it even an App Store option?!

### 1/5 — Don’t work

*2025-05-01, version 11.0.1*

I don’t operate

### 1/5 — No longer functional

*2025-02-05, version 11.0.1*

No longer functional

### 1/5 — Not supported

*2025-01-18, version 11.0.1*

This application is no longer supported.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — B4UFLY

*2023-12-26, version 10.5.3*

As a recreational UAS flyer this is a great app!

### 5/5 — Awesome app

*2023-09-01, version 10.5.3*

Team is responsive via chat and email and doing a wonderful job making the user experience better and better. Having worked for a leading app development company I can honestly say this is a remarkable app!

### 5/5 — Nice for staying out of trouble

*2023-06-17, version 10.5.3*

If you’re a drone pilot of any kind, download this app. It’s saved my butt plenty of times. So I highly recommend getting it

### 5/5 — Use every time you fly.

*2023-05-24, version 10.5.3*

Super helpful for checking advisories in the area as well as creating public "Notify and Fly" alerts for other sUAS pilots to be aware of.

I only wish more folks would make use of those, or a standard developed for public facing alerts (in addition to LAANC).

It would be super helpful if I could get a notification if someone else files an alert while I'm in the air. They should be able to see mine but I'd like to be aware of theirs, too. Bonus points if it can integrate with my DJI account and pop onto my control display.

### 5/5 — the BEST drone map!

*2023-05-23, version 10.5.3*

Let’s get down to the point. So I’m a new drone flyer around here in 2023 and I must admit this app helps me a lot! And makes sure we all fly safely without much risk of crashing and causing severe injury etc. So very good app. Keep it up!

### 5/5 — Up date

*2022-01-04, version 10.4.3*

App is great but ya’ll need to up date your maps.
There is so many new changes that need updated. I look at my location and my house and yard is still from the early 2000. Please update the maps. 👍🏻🙏🏻

### 5/5 — Great App

*2021-11-09, version 10.4.2*

I am new part 107 Cert Remote Pilot and this app is so helpful to check airspace before I fly. The graphics are beautiful and its very user friendly! Safe flying everyone!

### 5/5 — Helpful but needs better notice to others

*2021-09-06, version 10.3*

Very useful but could be better at helping drone operators explain to others that are in compliance

### 5/5 — Thanks

*2021-03-29, version 10.2.2*

Thank you for a simple and easy to use an app that will keep me from getting my rear end chewed up by the FAA for ignorance. A great way to keep safe!

### 5/5 — Expertly designed and user-friendly app

*2020-10-14, version 10.1*

This is a very well-designed user-friendly and bug free app. It has worked everywhere I’ve gone and provide invaluable information regarding permanent and temporarily restricted airspace. A must have for all drone enthusiasts. Highly recommended.
