## What is Baaki?

Baaki is a private, offline expense tracker and budget planner. No account, no 
sign-up, no bank linking, no sync — your transactions, balances and budgets live 
on your iPhone, encrypted, and your financial data never leaves your device. 
There are no servers to send it to.

"Baaki" means what's left. That's the question this app answers: after the 
bills, the budgets and the money you've set aside — what is actually left to 
spend?

WHAT BAAKI DOES

EXPENSE TRACKING
Log spending in seconds — amount, category, done. Categories with icons and 
colours, tags, notes, multiple accounts and transfers between them. Real 
multi-currency support: Baaki never silently adds two currencies together.

BUDGETS THAT WARN YOU EARLY
Set a monthly budget per category. Baaki tells you at 80%, and again if you go 
over — while the month can still be saved, not after it ends.

SAVINGS GOALS
Set a target and put money aside. What you've set aside is held back from Safe 
to Spend, so the number you see is the number you can actually use.

RECURRING BILLS
Rent, subscriptions, utilities, card payments. Baaki posts them automatically 
and reminds you before they fall due.

LENDING & BORROWING
Most budget apps ignore the money between people. Baaki doesn't. See who owes 
you and what you owe, per person. Settle in part or in full, with reminders — 
so you don't have to be the one who brings it up.

REPORTS
Where the money went — by category, merchant and month. Trends, cashflow, 
period comparisons and a spend calendar.

REMINDERS THAT RESPECT YOU
Bills, budget thresholds, card payments, debts, goals reached — plus an 
optional evening nudge and a Monday round-up. Every one has its own switch, and 
the daily nudge stays silent on days you've already logged something.

PRIVACY, PROPERLY
- Your ledger is stored in an encrypted database on your device
- App lock with PIN, Face ID or Touch ID
- Decoy PIN — a second, separately encrypted profile behind a different PIN. 
  Included free.
- Privacy mode hides every amount with one tap
- Widgets and notifications never show a figure while locked — counts only
- No analytics. No crash reporting. No tracking of how you use the app.
- No iCloud sync — by design. Your ledger exists in exactly one place: your 
  phone, plus any backup file you choose to keep.

Baaki has no network client of its own. We cannot see your data — not because 
we promise not to look, but because it is never sent anywhere for us to look 
at.

Two things do reach the internet, and we would rather say so than pretend 
otherwise: ads on the free tier, and the App Store when you buy or restore Pro. 
Neither receives your financial data. The privacy policy spells out exactly 
what each one sees.
